SNIPPET: IT’S NOW LAURA’S TURN…
Orlando was totally unrepentant; he admitted he had definitely asked Hercules for his help to win her over and was surprised that he had told Nattie he’d been the secret admirer all along, which she is really disgusted about; as well as trying to use her father to get what he wanted, but Orlando stubbornly insisted he would do it again if he had to because he was in love with her. Nattie snapped that it still didn’t give him the right to do what he did and from now on, he must never speak to anyone in her family again. In reply, the idiot told her to get used to the idea that sooner or later she’ll come back to him, be his wife and have a family with him, which made her more furious; how could he be so arrogant? He wasn’t being arrogant, he insisted, just informing her of the inevitable. Nattie lost her temper completely, asking him to leave because she could no longer stand being around him when Lorenzo showed up. Orlando left, telling her to remember what he’d said. Lorenzo told Nattie Laura wanted to see her and she reluctantly entered her room. Laura weakly said she’d been afraid Nattie wouldn’t agree see her, she badly wanted to apologize for her behavior towards her the last time she’d been to the office; Nattie reminded her she’d also treated Silvia badly too. Laura replied she was aware of that and had spoken to Silvia and hopes she and Nattie will find peace with each other and have her forgiveness. Nattie watches her with pity.
Lorenzo informs Isabella he’ll be taking time off work for a while to look after Laura and Orlando will be in charge in the meantime, which Isabella arrogantly agrees with(she’s been more disagreeable since Lorenzo found out what she’d shown poor Silvia), asking about his level of commitment since Laura was capable of looking after herself once she’s discharged. Lorenzo tells her they’ve decided to give their marriage another chance; Isabella personally thinks he was making the biggest mistake of his life. He replied that the main reason why he was moving back in with her was to monitor her medication, so that she won’t take the wrong pills again. Isabella feigns ignorance but Lorenzo tells her she knew what he was talking about, he wasn’t insinuating anything but if Laura fell ill again he’ll be forced to get suspicions and link it to someone who wants her and the baby dead. Isabella felt he was saying she had something to do with Laura’s anemia and he should have realized he’d been wrong in marrying Laura in the first place; perhaps she attempted suicide since she knew the tricks of the trade. Lorenzo snappishly reminded her it was a private matter and he didn’t want her poking her nose into it; their relationship was now strictly professional.
Tony informs Conan his father has made an appointment with a specialist in New York, to treat his leg. Conan begin to show him the orders and balance sheets, which Tony visibly finds confusing and complicated.
At the meeting, Isabella tells them her contact in Italy, Estephano, wants his order tripled- which confuses Lorenzo. Horsy Gloria gives Isabella a meaningful look. Lorenzo said it’s impossible; currently they were working at maximum capacity, 3 eight hour shifts a day, no day off, they were even busy on Sundays! Isabella calmly said they’ll just have to hire more workers. Lorenzo isn’t sure the bank will give them another loan, but Isabella insists it was a huge opportunity; they will be the biggest textile exporting company. Gloria suggested they do subcontracting to another company to lighten the load, but Lorenzo feels uncomfortable as they have a cash flow problem; it was risky to put their eggs in one basket, but Isabella insists it was worth the risk, and Estephano wanted an answer the soonest so he didn’t have time to think about it. When Lorenzo leaves the room to go talk to Orlando, Isabella smiles evilly. Gloria demands to know what she was up to now.
Hercules gave Nattie and Silvia startling news; he and Empetriz have decided to get married! His niece is stunned and his daughter absolutely furious, loudly refusing to accept ‘that witch’. Silvia asked him if it was merely an idea or they’ve set a date already. Hercules replied they were both serious about it as they were no longer youngsters; they wanted to have each other for the rest of their lives. Nattie isn’t happy at all, why did he have to choose, of all women, that big gossip that always fought with anyone she meets? Her father replied she made him happy and content, he felt alive with her and she was full of fun and wants to marry her. Silvia calmly said if he felt it was the best decision for him, they wished him well, to Nattie’s anger. Hercules is happy as he’ll be grandfather to Mimi’s baby (being her stepfather), which is a role he’s looking forward to; Nattie declares he’s completely mad but Silvia reproaches her. She points out neither of them like E.P, but the person who will be dealing with her most often is Hercules and they have to be supportive now. Hercules pleads with Nattie for her and Conan’s approval as he won’t be able to get married in such circumstances, but she accuses him of trying to make her feel bad, which she won’t allow and tells him that under no circumstances should E.P EVER think of trying to be her mother. Hercules promised he won’t stop loving Nattie and Conan once they are married. To change the subject, Nattie asked him why he’d told Silvia he didn’t know her father. He replies his late sister, Silvia’s mum, had met him in Mexico, someone had introduced them. But Nattie insists she remembers him mentioning his sister’s husband when she was a kid, he’d said he was his friend and a very funny guy. But her father replied she was mistaken and left abruptly.
Laura gets an unwelcome visitor, Alex. She tells him to get out, he says she shouldn’t talk to him that way; he only came to see how she was. Laura didn’t want Lorenzo to find him there, since they have reconciled. Alex receives this news with a stupid smirk on his face; Silvia will now return to him (yeah, in your dreams, gigolo).
Empetriz tries on her old wedding gown she’d worn on her first wedding, which no longer fits- Mimi advises her to just go and buy a new gown. Orlando agrees they should use their properties as collateral, in spite of the risk involved, a bank has agreed to give them a big loan.
Alex interrupts Silvia and Nattie in the middle of work; Alex asks to speak to Silvia alone, he wanted to tell her what Laura had told him.
Gloria asked Isabella if the sudden upping of production was part of her revenge on Lorenzo and is told not to ask questions since she wouldn’t want to be involved in the matter. But Gloria feels she was making a huge mistake, as setting a trap will only push Lorenzo further away from her. Isabella arrogantly tells her her opinion did not count; she was just there to follow orders and is told Orlando has been asking questions about Estephano and his company. Isabella calls Orlando an imbecile who is incapable of adding two and two together and is certain her plan (whatever it was) will succeed. (Oh, Lorenzo, you are a total idjit!)
Alex was on the verge of telling Silvia what Laura had said but her harsh tone when he hesitates discourages him. She asks if Laura had had a relapse but he replies she was much better and will soon go home. She’s annoyed he’d sent Nattie out for such a trivial thing.
Lorenzo tells Isabella he and Orlando have agreed to up production and would get smaller companies to help them. Empetriz begins to work out, in order to fit into her wedding dress. (Miser can’t spend money on a new one, nonsense!)

HANCOCK, THE X-FILES AND EFURU...

The new movie to see besides Will Smith's new venture, HANCOCK, about a superhero who is more of a nuisance and a liability than the new Sueprman, is THE X-FILES: I WANT TO BELIEVE, about the further adventures of the two FBI agents, open minded Fox Mulder(DAVID DUCHOVNY) and stubbornly sceptical Dana Scully(GILLIAN ANDERSON), whose cases always have scientific and supernatural under tones. The two obviously care deeply for each other but have always remained platonic friends... until much much later. I think it was because Mulder was too wrapped up to solve the mystery of his younger sister's abduction by aliens and reserved Scully respected his preoccupation enough not to press him. It also stars Alvin Joiner, better known as rapper ''Xzibit'' as FBI agent Mosely Drummy. This is the second X files movie, the first one came out in 1998, THE X FILES: FIGHT FOR THE FUTURE, (which some people unkindly said sucked), set six years after the events of the original series and directed by the series' creator, Chris Carter.
By the way, one of the weekly story lines of the X FILES SERIES, (which started in 1993 and ended in 2002) was not used, instead the script was used to create the supernatural thriller film, FINAL DESTINATION. I found it more fascinating than creepy but the person I really detested in the whole show was the cigarette smoking man, who held all the answers Mulder and Scully almost got killed to find. For those who are X files fans like myself, it's a must watch.
Now a very pressing suggestion, since there is a movie adaptation of Prof. Chinua Achebe's classic

THINGS FALL APART, does'nt any one feel there should be a movie adaptation of Flora Nwapa's classic novel EFURU? Nollywood should consider making a movie adaptation of this fantastic book, especially since they've been improving lately with the use of 35mm, which Hollywood use, why not? Pls, Nollywood directors out there, consider adapting this book into a movie, at least as a tribute to Madam Nwapa, who was the very first Nigerian woman to write a novel. Visitors, pls air your views on this.
SNIPPET: SHAMELESS, EVIL WOMAN!

Thank you to my visitor who left a caring message, I’m much better now and very sorry for the abrupt break. Luckily I have a way of putting together my posts that covers what’s been happening in a program for a week or so, like I did in CATALINA y SEBASTIAN posts. So this is what’s been happening until today’s episode…
Tony accused Mimi of being difficult, she replied that she had many reasons for not wanting them to be a couple just yet. They get into an argument over the choice of the baby’s name, making Mimi to leave in a huff.
At first Isabella tried to deny the accusation but after Lorenzo tells her to stop the stupid games, she admits she did what she did, because she loved him. He in turn angrily said if she truly loved him, she’ll want him to be happy, instead of using doctored photos to come between him and the girl he loved very much, how dare she take a photo of him during that mistake they committed? (Lorenzo slept with Isabella the night he and Silvia found out they were being played by Laura and Alex, he was drunk and Isabella had manipulated him, much to my everlasting disgust). Isabella hotly reminded him she hadn’t forced him to sleep with her and tearfully leaves the table. Lorenzo instructs Nattie to get Silvia to go to a certain address, he’ll meet her there. Silvia and Conan discuss their new orders and plans for a new campaign when Nattie calls her to ask her to meet her at the address, which is a photo lab. Egged on by Alex, Empetriz tells Silvia, as she’s on her way out, that the condition about her staying away from Alex was revoked, but like I predicted, Silvia couldn’t care less; she told Alex she’ll never, ever go back to him and walks out, Conan laughing.
Isabella sits in her hotel room, morose but without remorse, she says to herself that she didn’t care what Lorenzo thought of her, the damage has already been done and she’ll just have to find another means of revenge. The investigator she hired to find out who had been sending letters to Laura from Venezuela shows up and hands her his report, the person is Laura’s popsie and he’s a convict.
Silvia is furious to see Lorenzo at the lab but is forced, at his insistence, to see how the photos she’d seen were doctored in a computer. She then asked if he and Isabella had truly slept with each other, yes or no.
Embarrassed, he admitted that he did but it was long before he and Silvia started their own affair. Silvia reminded him that on their first date, he had told her he’d been attracted to her for a long time before admitting it (it started the night he had saved her from a cheating wrestling opponent, I won’t go into that… long story), Lorenzo replied he’d been drunk and had regretted it the next day, insisting that it was her, Silvia, that he truly loved. But Silvia replied if he really loved her, he’ll leave her alone and attend to his pregnant ex-wife and walked out. (pls comment, my people, what you would do if you where in Silvia’s shoes).
Conan taunted Alex over his strenuous work out; Silvia wasn’t there to be impressed and gets angry when Alex threatens to start toasting Lysette instead. Lorenzo tells a shocked Nattie about what happened and asks her to make Silvia see reason and come back to him, which she promises to do.
Isabella receives a surprise visitor, it’s Silvia.
‘what are you doing here, you’re not welcome.’ She asked coldly.
Silvia regards her enemy for a second then slaps her across the face! (Considering she used to be a wrestler, I’d preferred if she had decked the bitch, personally I would have done that). Isabella holds her cheek, glaring at her…
Silvia informed her she now knew the truth and thought Isabella was the most desperate and pathetic woman to use such devious means to break a relationship, just because Lorenzo was in love with her, instead of Isabella, who of course shows no remorse.
Laura is escorted home by Gloria, who finds Alex outside the house and gets a lift, plus lunch. Silvia goes over what Lorenzo had told her but is very angry with Nattie for tricking her and refused to talk to her for a while. Lorenzo goes to see Isabella later and informs her while he will not break off their partnership yet, they can no longer be personal friends; from now on, no lunches, no dinners and no questions concerning his personal life. Isabella accepts this with very bad grace and asks what she called the final personal question, was he and Silvia getting back together? Lorenzo coldly told her no; Silvia insisted he attended to Laura and their unborn baby. After he left, she picked up the phone again…
At the gym, the family watches the commercial Tony had skillfully filmed on the T.V, Alex constituting a nuisance as well. Nattie is unhappy Silvia is cold towards her and receives more flowers from her ‘secret admirer’ (she’d better not go back to that idiot, Orlando).
Isabella sneaks into the house and exchanges Laura’s vitamins with a set of harmful ones, escaping through the window. Nattie decides to resign, telling Lorenzo she was fed up of Orlando, Gloria and Isabella; Lorenzo assures her she could come back whenever she wanted. Horsy Gloria and Isabella are pleased at her action. Laura bursts into their meeting, calling Isabella a disgusting woman; she throws down the doctored photos (she had sent them to Laura). Lorenzo is furious but the shameless bitch insisted she had sent them before they had had their little talk. Orlando and Gloria were very embarrassed. Silvia forgives Nattie who wants to now work for her. Empetriz isn’t pleased Nattie left her job and warns Hercules she still expects her rent when it’s time. Mimi is obviously in love with Conan, who doesn’t notice since he’s too wrapped up with Lysette, but Tony is getting more and more annoyed Mimi is consulting Conan all the time. Laura feels very tired all the time; she’s been taking the switched pills! Gloria is with her when she suddenly faints. She phones Lorenzo and gets an ambulance to take her to the hospital. Giacormo is also informed when Conan is with him at the boutique and goes there as well. Conan informs Silvia, Nattie and Alex about it. The doctor tells them Laura was in critical condition and could lose the baby. Silvia is very concerned about it since she knew Lorenzo always wanted to be a father. Isabella hears about Laura from Gloria and has the audacity to go to the house to try and switch the pills back but Giacormo enters the room with Antoinette and finds her there; she lied she had come to see Laura. Alex tries to butter up Silvia to get back with him but she informs him he was irritating her very much. Nattie gets more flowers, with a note; ‘come back’.
Laura begs both Lorenzo and Giacormo (separately) to forgive her for her past actions; she deeply regretted it and their forgiveness would hasten her recovery. Giacormo suddenly informs Lorenzo that he was going to New York for treatment on his leg (he was still using a cane) and will leave Conan in charge of the boutique until he got back, Isabella overhears the conversation. She enters to visit her enemy and more or less informs what she’d done to the pills, to Laura’s horror. Hercules goes to the office to collect Nattie’s last paycheck and is cornered by Orlando, who confides he was the secret admirer and formally asks for Nattie’s hand, (once again, I swear I’ll stop watching this telenovela if Natalia dares go back to that pig) much to Hercules’ disgust. Lorenzo tells Isabella to stop coming to see Laura; everyone knew they hated each other. Tony promises his father he’ll cooperate with Conan in his absence. The doctor informs Lorenzo they might have to abort Laura’s baby, which fills her with terror and begs Lorenzo to ask the doctor for another alternative, actually she also wants to be well enough to get her revenge on Isabella. Conan agrees to look after the boutique but insists on holding the fashion show when Giacormo got back from New York. Orlando is getting very suspicious about Isabella’s Italian ‘connections’. The doctor informs Lorenzo Laura has been taking the wrong pills but a transfusion could save her and the baby. Nattie goes to see Giacormo at the boutique, asking him why he didn’t inform her of his trip, was he going to go without saying bye to her? He told her he was going to but had been feeling bad about what happened between them (dating her but not telling her he was gay until all of a sudden); Nattie insisted she had forgotten the whole thing and saw him as nothing but a very good person. He promised to call her over the phone often while he was there. Isabella threatens to close down Silvia’s factory and have Empetriz thrown in jail for tax evasion if Empetriz didn’t pay her back her money. Silvia coldly tells her to bring the vital documents and orders her to leave her premises. Nattie isn’t pleased when Silvia tells her what she and Conan had seen earlier… Hercules and Empetriz are now sleeping with each other (YUCK!) She tells her popsie he could do what he liked but didn’t want to hear the word marriage (oh, GOD FORBID!)
Alex goes to see Isabella, threatening to tell Lorenzo what she was planning to do to the factory if she didn’t leave Silvia alone. Isabella taunts him; would Lorenzo believe someone who had seduced his wife?
Alex in return reminds her she’d been the one to hire him to seduce Laura in the first place, if Lorenzo found out about THAT…
Lorenzo thinks things through and tells a amazed Laura he’s decided to get back together with her and be a family with her and their baby, which she happily agrees to, feeling she was starting her life again and promises to make him happy from now on. He kissed her hand and tells her to get some rest. Isabella threatens to send Empetriz to jail and tell Silvia what he had done in his past if he dared open his mouth to Lorenzo and offers to pay him, but he refuses. She wonders out loud what Silvia had that made Alex and Lorenzo trail after her. Nattie thought Orlando had a lot of nerve asking Hercules for her hand but feels flattered all the same. She however said she won’t go back to him even if he turns a new leaf. Silvia agrees Alex seems to be changing and might forgive him but will never be his girlfriend again, but still will not go back to Lorenzo. Lorenzo tells Gloria and Orlando Laura was getting better and has forgiven Laura, he’ll be living with her and their baby when it comes. Gloria receives a phone call from Evil Isabella, who asks if Laura had died yet and is shocked to hear the two have reconciled. She cries, ‘he can’t do this to me!’
Mimi tells Tony what she’d promised his father that they won’t fight anymore. Isabella vows that ‘Lorenzo will pay for this’ and calls her friend Estephano, telling him ‘there has been a change of plans’. Mimi and Tony walk in on Hercules and Empetriz cuddling and are told to move to the gym to watch their video. Orlando asked Lorenzo if he had checked the contract Estephano had signed with Isabella since he can not confirm the name of his company on the Internet. Everyone watches the video clip Tony recently filmed; Tony wants to now be a professional camera man. Silvia worries over what Isabella said but Alex informs her Isabella will not bother her again, which she casually thanked him for. Lorenzo assures Laura she was out of danger and will soon go home. He tells her Nattie was on her way to visit her and is asked to leave her in private when she comes; she wanted to apologize to her(pooh, more likely to take style in telling her she had reconciled with Lorenzo, so that she’ll pass it on to Silvia). Nattie finds Orlando in the waiting room and scolds him about the STUPID thing he had told Hercules, what DID he hope achieve?
(Giacormo, if you truly don’t want to lose Nattie to Orlando, better start sleeping with her, and as for Orlando, Conan beat him to a pulp when he first cheated on Nattie- he’s merely asking for more trouble, especially since he was the last person Laura slept with. As for Silvia, Lorenzo is now doing what she asked him to do, what now??? My people, pls leave your comments on this).

A LITTLE SET BACK...
Daniel went to the mansion to see if Raquel had resolved things with Tonio and finds Martha alone in the living room, smoking. She tells him Tonio had gone upstairs to talk to her sister and hadn't yet come down. She feels Raquel was far too old fashioned, believing all Tonio wanted was have fun with her. Her father pointed out that a proper lady has to protect her dignity and her sister was a decent girl. Martha replied that if Raquel was really decent, she would have come clean with Tonio immediately instead of going on with the deception. Daniel sharply told her not to talk about her sister that way, and then asked him to fix her a drink. He remarked how well stocked the bar was and Martha agreed, one of the many reasons why they should remain in Acapulco instead of going home.
Victoria is at Camilla and Claudio’s place; she told them she was supposed to have a talk with Tonio but he had spent the day out with Maura, which amuses Camilla (sure it does, nonsense woman).
‘Well, how interesting!’ She said.
Claudio asked Victoria how Raquel had found out, and was told it had been from Tonio himself; what disturbed Victoria was that he didn’t even bother to hide it at all, didn’t they agree with her something was wrong?
Claudio felt he merely did so to make Raquel jealous, since she had run off with Max. But Victoria believes Tonio is not himself; plus he’s been saying horrible things about Max, but she’s sure if he helped Raquel, it was because she asked him to; it seemed since she came to the house, she’s been provoking him to do her will or something, she didn’t know. Camilla triumphantly pointed out that she was right about Raquel being a witch and shouldn’t be allowed to stay at the house.
They were also told that Oscar had promised to speak to Tonio; he doesn’t think the accident had changed him but Victoria is worried that if it had made him lose his memory, something else could be wrong too. Camilla and Claudio are very surprised; they hadn’t heard about Tonio’s amnesia and demanded for an explanation (Tonio had requested she shouldn’t, to protect Raquel). After making them promise not to tell Tonio she’d told them, Victoria told them how he hadn’t remembered Raquel, that he’d thought she was an adventuress, pretending to be his wife.
‘Well, isn't that the truth?’ demanded Camilla.
Victoria replied, of course not, that’s why he had gone to Guadalajara to investigate in the first place and now he was convinced he’d been mistaken. But now it seems he has a persecution complex; first he had thought his wife was a fraud, next saying someone was trying to kill him, that the crash had been preplanned but then said it wasn't , plus accusing Max of a lot of rubbish and threatening him with a pistol. She’s so worried that maybe the accident had made him slightly crazy.
Martha and Daniel are still waiting for Tonio and Raquel to come down, Martha, feeling they were probably fighting, sent Ramón to see if they were coming down to dinner at all. Ramon visibly doesn’t like being ordered around by arrogant Martha but obeys.
Her head against Tonio's shoulder, Raquel murmured, 'I'm scared.' Not exactly something she should bring up at a time like that, there's such a thing as a mood killer.
'Of what?' Tonio asked indulgently, rubbing her bare back and shoulder.
'Of Maximillian.' Well... duh, Tonio!
'And do you think I'll ever let him hurt you now? Now more than ever,' he added as Raquel moved her pretty face up to meet his. 'No one can separate you from me.'
Cuddling then resumes... until Raquel jumped in fright when there’s a knock on the door but Tonio pulled her back down.
‘What are you afraid of?’ he asked her. ‘You’re my wife, aren’t you?’
Grinning, she said, ‘yes, but I have to get used to it,’ and settled back down beside him as he asked who was knocking.
‘What are you afraid of?’ he asked her. ‘You’re my wife, aren’t you?’
Grinning, she said, ‘yes, but I have to get used to it,’ and settled back down beside him as he asked who was knocking.
It was just Ramón, so he got up to see what he wanted. Ramon asked him if he and Senora Raquel were coming down to dinner as Martha and Don Daniel were still waiting for them. Tonio replied they were to excuse them and go ahead. Just then Max passed and the look on his face when he saw Tonio in nothing but jeans, standing outside Raquel’s door! Ignoring him, Tonio asked Ramón to bring his and his wife’s supper to his room instead. He and Max regard each other silently before returning to the bedroom, closing the door behind him. Max is filled with rage! But serves him right, he brought it all on himself. Besides, for all Raquel really did love him before she discovered his betrayal, she must have caught a tiny bit of evil vibe that prevented her from knocking boots with Max after their fake wedding.
Tonio asked Raquel if it was all right they ate in his room. ‘Do you really love me?’ she asked instead.
‘Do you love me?’ he asked in return.
‘Why do you ask what you already know?’ was her reply.
‘I could say the same,’ he said, leaning down to kiss her again.
Moments later…
Tonio asked Raquel if it was all right they ate in his room. ‘Do you really love me?’ she asked instead.
‘Do you love me?’ he asked in return.
‘Why do you ask what you already know?’ was her reply.
‘I could say the same,’ he said, leaning down to kiss her again.
Moments later…
Max paces up and down his room and, unable to contain his rage any longer, marched to Raquel’s room but found it empty, the bed unmade. He then marched to Tonio's locked door and pounds on it, yelling for Raquel to come out. Raquel tries to call Tonio but he's in the shower and didn't hear her at all. She then leaves the room, through the French windows. Maxis still pounding on the door when Ramon comes up with the tray and sees him; he drops the tray in shock. Ignoring him, Max leaves, guessing she must have fled through the French windows.
Raquel is hiding in the bushes when Chucho startles her, asking her what was wrong. They both duck when Max passes. Chucho asked her if that man had frightened her, but she pleads to him not to tell him he'd seen her.
Inside, Tonio asked Ramon if he'd heard a pounding sound but Ramon merely said it was him accidentally dropping the tray. He then asks for Raquel but Ramon doesn't know where she is.
Her room is empty, so he goes back to his own and sees her entering through the glass doors, still shivering with fright. She's silent when asked what was wrong. Fearing that she'd changed her mind about a lasting relationship with him, he reminded her that he cared for her very deeply, more than she knew- it was the first time he's ever been in love, she should think on that. She asked if she could go back to her room, and he gently allowed her. But as she enters her room, Max barges in in a rage and grabs her, calling her a tramp and saying how he saw Tonio come out of her room half naked. Raquel defiantly confirmed that yes, she did make love with Tonio because he's her husband because of him.
Tonio suddenly appears from behind to rescue Raquel and the two men begin beating each other up, Raquel screaming.
Ramon, listening at the door, hurried downstairs to call Victoria, who immediately came up and broke up the fight. Poor Raquel tells Tonio she wanted to leave but he harshly said, 'with him, never!' Max tried to interrupt angrily but Victoria orders him to shut up.
Before leaving however, he shouted that if he was going to jail, he wouldn't be going alone since Raquel is his accomplice, which she loudly denied. Victoria begged Tonio to please tell her what was going on but Tonio merely said she should ask her son. Victoria left the room. Raquel clung to Tonio's arm, tearfully swearing all Max had said about her was a lie; she would never do anything to harm Tonio. What will he do? she asked.
He shook his head and said he didn't know.

FROM TV TO MOVIES
Honestly, I love AND envy America’s film history, not because it’s the largest film industry in the world but because of so much talent and a huge history of film making and T.V series. So much so that a lot of their rested T.V series later became adapted into films; like Charlie’s Angels, Thunderbirds,
Starsky and Hutch ,Miami Vice, Mission Impossible (yes naija folks, it was a T.V series back in the 60’s) and one I’m not familiar with, The Dukes of Hazzard. And not just T.V series too, but their comics; we’ve been treated to SUPERMAN, BATMAN, MASK OF ZORRO, THE FANTASTIC 4, THE X-MEN, SPIDERMAN, SUPERGIRL,CONSTANTINE, GHOST RIDER, DARE-DEVIL , ELEKTRA even THE FLINTSTONES. And now, we’re now treated to the film adaptation of one of the old animated series I loved as a child, SPEED RACER about the driver of the Mack 5, Speed Racer, who was continuously helped by the mysterious Racer X (his banished elder brother, Rex). Maybe there might be a film adaptation of TERRAHAWKS (The original THUNDERBIRDS were puppets weren’t they?), VOLTRON, BATTLE OF THE PLANETS and I really hope, THUNDERSUB. Besides SPEED RACER, we’re also being treated to another Marvel comic adaptation, IRON MAN, starring Robert Downey Jr.as Tony Stark/Iron Man and Terence Stamp as Jim who later became WAR MACHINE. And I heard last week there’ll soon be a film adaptation of THE JUSTICE LEAGUE.
Nollywood’s T.V series still have a long way to go, for one thing, do more biopics where the name are used instead of being ridiculously rearranged and changed, like the film about the Bakassi boys, the film was called ‘Issakaba’. Most of our T.V series today are SO short-lived, yet it seems ‘Family Ties’ and ‘Treasures’ are showing promise of lasting for quite a while. The best one was Checkmate, which had a good run and a reasonable ending as well as a spinoff, Fuji House of Commotion which has been on since 2001, and although Fortunes (renamed Mega fortunes) was cancelled abruptly, it was adapted to a movie named after the bitchy protagonist DANGEROUS GODDESS, the same with the series, FAMILY CIRCLE. In terms of comics adapted to T.V, we have SUPERSTORY, PAPA AJASCO and BINTA& FRIENDS. Just remaining the adaptation of the FUN TIMES; its characters Benbella, Lulu, Alhaja and Bobo Odenson WOULD be a scream on television. It’s not fair the comic was phased out without warning in the first place.

SNIPPET: ISABELLA, GOD DON CATCH YOU!!!

Orlando also finds an address of a photo lab in Isabella’s address book and writes it down. Giacormo still feels Silvia and Lorenzo can be happy in spite of Laura’s pregnancy but Silvia feels it’s impossible since Lorenzo and Laura will be living in the same house for the baby’s sake. Alex angrily tells Conan and Mimi he was moving out. Mimi phones her mother to tell her who asks her to stop him until she got there. At the restaurant, Isabella goes to the ladies’ and Lorenzo receives the photos sent by Orlando, to his greatest amazement. He phones him, filled with fury. Orlando advises him not to do anything crazy; if he quarreled with Isabella now, it could ruin the company since it’s through her connections they were exporting their stuff abroad but Lorenzo doesn’t care, he’s far too angry and upset, now that he knows why Silvia had left him without explanation. Isabella comes back and Lorenzo deliberately begins talking about his love for Silvia and how she’d left him without explanation, which visibly annoys her.
Mimi manages to keep Alex until their mother got back. He angrily confronts her about always interfering in his life, but his mother assures him she’ll tell Silvia the condition is revoked (like she would care, she loves Lorenzo now, why would she go back to a bum like you?), begging him not to leave as she loves him very much. Laura gets to the office and asks where Lorenzo is but he’s not yet back, but Nattie doesn’t allow her to wait in his office since he’s not his wife any more. When Laura arrogantly reminded her she still owned half the company, Nattie replied she didn’t since she was an ‘adulteress’, which makes the stupid woman slap her. Nattie was about to retaliate but Gloria breaks it up and leads Laura to the boardroom instead to wait for Lorenzo. Giacormo tells Mimi there was nothing to investigate after all, that it was an accident. He told her his son was upset about her decision but he personally understood since Tony had been so unkind to her before. Lorenzo deliberately provokes Isabella who curtly asks him to change the subject since it made her feel ‘awkward’. Lorenzo reminds her as his ‘friend’, she should be listening to his problems. Isabella finally tells him that she loved him and had returned from Europe to be with him again and how she hated Laura for stealing him from her (actually that’s true). Lorenzo asked her to lower her voice, but she snappishly said she didn’t care if everyone knew about it, and he shouldn’t pretend he wasn’t aware of it. Lorenzo replied, much as she was in love with him, he was very much in love with Silvia. Isabella loudly reminded him Silvia had left him, why was he still pursuing her…?
Lorenzo angrily interrupted, ‘because you showed her these doctored photos of us!’ and threw them down in front of her. For once, Evil Isabella is speechless, with the most ridiculous cornered look on her over painted face. (Oh, Isabella you first class b***h…what lie will you use now as a ditch???). HA! HA!
UNTIL NEXT WEEK, PEACE OUT and PLEASE, POST YOUR COMMENTS OR LEAVE A MESSAGE IN THE C-BOX, BOTH WOULD BE APPRECIATED VERY MUCH BY YOUR HOST.
YOURS IN BLOGSHIP…HONEY.
SNIPPET: LAURA'S IN TROUBLE NOW!

E.P isn’t pleased no one gave her anything. Laura denies having anything to do with the accident. Giacormo decides not to have her charged with attempted murder, only because of her unborn child but threatened to have her jailed if she had an abortion; Laura insists she’ll never do anything to hurt him , but he doesn’t believe her. Silvia and Nattie come home to find Hercules and Juanito asleep, tired out from their work. Nattie is skeptical about Silvia’s partnership with E.P, since the woman can’t be trusted. Isabella and Lorenzo return from watching a play, but it’s obvious Lorenzo didn’t pay attention to it as his mind is too full of Silvia. He refuses to have dinner, pleading tiredness. Tony tries kissing Mimi but she reminds him they had both agreed to take it slow and makes it clear she doesn’t want them to be a couple just yet, asking for a little more time. Tony goes out and accuses Conan of turning Mimi against him. When Conan wants to go and check on her, Lysette doesn’t allow him. Lorenzo still refuses to go inside for a drink when Isabella tries to insist so she says goodnight instead. The workers resumes to E.P’s factory for the day’s work. E.P tries flirting with Hercules, who ignores her. Tony is furious that Giacormo resumed work so soon. He also told him what Mimi had said but his father is sure she’ll get over her resentment.
Isabella goes to see Laura’s doctor, pretending Laura had recommended him, complaining of dizziness. When he goes to fetch something, she hurriedly goes through Laura’s file. They go for the test.
Orlando places a rose and a card on Nattie’s desk (I know her current is gay but if she goes back to her ex I’ll never watch this telenovela again, he’s a pig), Nattie finds it and suspects Orlando when he teases her about it. Tony is a bit cold towards his father when he speaks over the phone with one of his friends, who is also gay, but insists it no longer bothers him. (right…)
SNIPPET: NOW WHAT?
Giacormo recollects everything now that Laura had been there when he was knocked down, but had denied it when he’d asked her at the hospital. Lorenzo asks Nattie to call Isabella, Orlando and Gloria together for a meeting. Lysette complains to Tony about how Mimi clings to Conan too much; Tony on the other hand is worried Mimi doesn’t pay him enough attention and is distant all the time around him. Empetriz does a little research over the contract she’d earlier signed with Isabella and finds a clause to her satisfaction. Silvia and her reach an agreement; Silvia will be in control and Empetriz will allow her to use her premises, but she must stay far away from Alex (pooh, who wants him again, I like to know?)Which Silvia completely agrees to. Evil Isabella is very rude to Nattie at the office. Giacormo does a little investigation and discovers it was Laura who had called the ambulance.
Empetriz invites Isabella to Mimi’s baby shower. Lysette is sure the baby will be a girl but Tony wants a boy. Silvia informs Nattie that she’ll be moving to Empetriz’ place to do her business (which I still think it’s a dumbass idea) AND about Lorenzo’s visit. Nattie still insists Isabella was the culprit behind the breakup but Silvia stubbornly refuses to discuss it.
Isabella invites a broody Lorenzo for a night of fun ‘as friends of course’, but plans to go to the shower for a few minutes first. Laura’s maid, Antonia insists on Laura eating more. Mimi receives a lot of baby things from her guests. Isabella shows up, much to her displeasure. Isabella apologizes (not sincerely) to E.P for what she’d earlier said to her. Silvia turns up and is introduced as her ‘new associate’. Isabella immediately declares she would never work for ‘this little diva’, and Silvia angrily says the same thing. But E.P tells Isabella that since she didn’t update the contract after returning from Italy, they were no longer valid, she will return her money when she can(in E.P’s language, it’s never). Isabella vows she hadn’t heard the last of her and leaves. Silvia is furious with E.P, asking her never to do such a thing to her again. Hercules and Juanito pack up Silvia’s sewing machines. Tony plays the edited commercial he’d shot to everyone, who all approve of it. Lysette is angry when Mimi hugs Conan too much. Lorenzo and Isabella go for a drive. Antonia welcomes Giacormo back and tells him Laura refuses to eat well. He goes up to her room and confronts her about hiring someone to run him over. She’s speechless…

AT LONG LAST...
Claudio comes in to find Raquel having breakfast alone; he’s told Tonio had gone out. He tries to make Raquel less distant towards him, but she leaves the table and gets pounced on by Evil Max, who takes her to the study. There, he demanded to know why she wanted to remain in Tonio’s house. If she really wanted the lavish life, he had the means of providing it to her. Raquel wearily said she wanted to leave too, but had yet to reach an agreement with Tonio.
When? Max snarled.
Soon, she snapped back when she was able to talk to him about it.
Max said she keeps saying that, but what has she been talking about with Tonio all this time? Raquel tells him it's none of his business.
Suspicious, Max says she is probably hatching some stupid plan against him in her head, warning her he'll never let her stay with Tonio. Raquel coldly tells him she knows that, but that doesn't mean she will get back together with him either. Max stares at her in frustration as she walks away from him.
Maura is angry at discovering Tonio only asked her out to bother Raquel, hence the rest of the afternoon sucked as a result.
Raquel told her father what happened, adding that if Tonio really loved her, he wouldn’t have gone off with ‘her', meaning Maura. Daniel advised her to let her heart guide her, instead of doubting Tonio all the time; he's convinced Tonio loved her.

Victoria is surprised to hear from an angry Raquel that Tonio had gone out with Maura. Chucho, the man who had saved Tonio’s life, arrives at the mansion and is allowed in. Chucho is filled with admiration at the grand estate.
Max isn't pleased to see Martha with Luis, who had taken her for a boat ride. As soon as she leaves them, Max reminds Luis that Martha is Raquel's sister, but Luis is unperturbed. Max tells him they had to think of another plan of action to rid themselves of Tonio. Luis points out that staging another accident might cause a lot of suspicion this time. Max replies, they'll just have to find a way of implicating someone else.
Martha informs Raquel, who is sulking in her room, that Tonio was home and asked her if she was coming down to dinner. Raquel said no.
Chucho returns the Rolex that Tonio had allowed him to keep since he wasn’t able to sell it. Tonio promised to give him money the following day and allowed him to spend the night. Martha tells Tonio that Raquel hasn’t eaten the whole day, and she could get sick. Without a word, Tonio goes upstairs, while Chucho introduces himself to a bewildered but amused Martha.
Tonio goes upstairs and enters Raquel’s room without knocking; Raquel was just getting ready for bed and was not pleased to see him.
He asked her why she wasn’t coming down to eat. 'I'm not hungry,' was her reply.

He asked her why she wasn’t coming down to eat. 'I'm not hungry,' was her reply.
'Do you want to get sick?' he probbed.
She coldly asked him, ‘What do you care?’ She got up from her chair and tried to walk away, but was grabbed by the arm. Tonio told her not to say that, and she should get dressed and come down to dinner.
When she didn’t say a word to him, he asked what did it matter if he said he did care, she wouldn’t believe him. She gave him a resentful look and sniffled a bit. Naturally, he asked her what was wrong.
‘You had a good time, didn’t you?’ she asked in a sulky tone, and he had the grace to look embarrassed.
He said he didn’t, and asked her to pardon him; he had no idea she’d be upset, since last night she’d said she didn’t care about him. She denied being upset; he could go wherever he liked. But since they were married, what would people think?

Was that the only reason, he asked, or more than that?
Raquel is too shy to say anything.
He urged her to tell him the truth; didn’t she care about him? Because he cared a lot about her. Good way to sell it, Tonio!
Breaking down (and it was about time!), she hugged him, pressing her cheek against his; he hugged her tight. 'Raquel...' he pulled back to look at her. 'I love you, can't you see that?'
They exchanged a very passionate kiss, this time on the serious make-out territory (we all cheered again). Breathless, Raquel then suggested they go down to dinner after all.
But Tonio, with a glint in his eye and that predatory smile on his face, said he didn't want to eat now.
Smiling back at him, she reached out, and they kissed again, this time a lot more sensually.
But Tonio, with a glint in his eye and that predatory smile on his face, said he didn't want to eat now.

And that's how this interesting episode ended that night, though we can rightly and vividly assume that two sets of clothes hit the floor in a few minutes before the serious action was moved to the bed.
So let me get this straight... Tonio takes his bitchy ex-girlfriend out to spite his wife, and then later, he gets lucky... I mean, he gets his wedding night after all. Men!
Ummm, Raquel, so how about the church wedding ceremony ... or doesn't it apply to Antonio then?
ANTONIO DROPS A BOMBSHELL
Raquel indignantly refuses to do what he said and when he insisted, she guessed correctly he must have said something negative about her to Tonio and is furious, wonders what he’ll think of her now. Max drags her to his own room to talk, seen by Ramon, who is shocked but says nothing to Tonio who passed by. Raquel refuses to listen to Max and forcibly pushes him out of her way, much to his frustration. Can't you take a hint asshole, she doesn't LOVE you any more!
Tonio and Raquel have dinner with Maura and Rodrigo. Luis finds Martha alone in the living room and hits on her but she turns him down disdainfully and goes upstairs.
Back at the club, restaurant (whatever), Tonio focuses a lot of attention on Raquel, putting his arm around her and kissing her hand- while they are watching some live show- which she warmly responds to. But it annoys Maura very much, giving them both a major stink-eye...which neither of them notice.
Rodrigo dances with Raquel later, Tonio watching in amusement. Maura disses Raquel's dancing but Tonio either didn't care about his lady's footwork or he's deaf to his ex's negative comments.
Maura and Rodrigo leave them behind when Raquel said she wanted to stay longer, to Tonio's delight. At Maura’s house, Rodrigo asked why she made them leave early and she muttered something about the noise bothering her. Smiling at her obvious jealousy, he comments on Raquel, ‘she’s a special girl’, which annoys her more. Tough break but take a hint, bitch.
Tonio and Raquel get home very late, in a good mood and holding hands. Tonio leads her upstairs, to his room, which makes her uneasy again, but she enters. Tonio gives her shocking news; since it’s been 30 days and the marriage certificate had not been revoked, it was now valid, they were legally married!
Raquel was very surprised but asked when they’ll get a divorce. Visibly hurt, Toni said any time she wanted but first he had to tell her; he was in love with her. Finally he says it... yay!!!
Alas- fear made her not believe him- she told him to his face that he was just saying that to get her into bed.
The next morning, Raquel finds Maura the plump piggy in the living room and got a shock when Tonio came down and informed her he was taking Maura sailing in the yacht for the whole day, and won't be coming home for lunch.
Raquel watched them leave hand in hand… a stunned expression on her face.
WINNER!
Tonio arrives back in the mansion with Raquel and her family; Raquel is very embarrassed and wonders what will happen to her now. Later on, Daniel comes to see Tonio in his study for a serious talk, explaining why Raquel was forced to continue with the deception, it was because of him. He knew he wasn't an ideal father, being a drunk and an old fool but Raquel loved him very much. Tonio listened as Daniel told him how Raquel wanted to hire a lawyer and get legal help once she discovered the truth, even though Max had threatened to frame her for Tonio's 'death'. But she was forced to back down, because of Max's threats towards him, Daniel. He also confessed he and his friend's 'trading' operation with his friend, in an effort to earn money because Raquel was the primary breadwinner.
Tonio immediately guessed he had been selling stolen goods, hence how Max was able to blackmail him and threaten Raquel. Daniel confirmed it, filled with shame, but wanted to be honest with him. He assured Tonio that they weren't bad people. They just had the bad luck of being chosen by his step brother in his dark plot.
Tonio tells him to sit down. If Daniel was willing to be really honest with him; was Raquel still in love with Max?
Daniel tells Tonio that if he knew Raquel, he wouldn't ask that question. She was a decent, honest girl- so was Martha (debatable)!and he's not saying so out of paternal bias. Although he loved his girls equally, he admitted his younger daughter was rather superficial. Tonio still wanted to know why they agreed to leave with Max. Daniel was at a loss, all he could tell him was that Raquel wanted to leave and since they didn't have money, were forced to accept Max's help. Tonio wasn't satisfied by the reason, as he had promised Raquel he wouldn't turn them in. Daniel feels Raquel would answer that question if he gently approached her. However, he assures Tonio that the reason wasn't because she was still in love with Max.
Victoria is certain Tonio has a prosecution complex, having heard about the pistol incident. Raquel angrily denies kissing Max, daring the person who had said so to repeat it in front of her. Tonio is convinced she was telling the truth.
At the pool side, Camilla angrily watches Martha flirting outrageously with some friends, calling her a real ‘scum’. Maura notices Tonio strolling by and runs after him. Claudio and a friend, Rodrigo see Raquel going to visit her father.
Rodrigo comments ‘she’s really beautiful.’ Claudio agrees but adds, ‘she has no class.’ (you're a fine one to talk, lazy bum)
Carla went to the bungalow and tried to get Raquel to join them at the pool, but she politely declined. In the house, Maura tries to flatter Tonio into going back to her but he refuses, accusing her of merely trying to bother Raquel. Raquel comes in to find them sitting closely together, disdainfully accepting Maura’s invitation to have dinner at a newly opened restaurant. After she leaves, she and Tonio talk at length, she's not pleased about Maura's forward behaviour with him, while he pointed out her abruptly leaving Acapulco with Max made him look like a fool in front of everyone. They reach a compromise and an agreement of trusting each other more and they are friends again.
Mummy Victoria gives Tonio a message that Claudio and Camilla want to see him about something. Tonio goes to Camilla's place and scolds her for lying about seeing Max and Raquel kissing, telling her to stop saying nasty things about Raquel and keep her nose out of his personal affairs. Claudio's request is another loan which he refuses. He advises Claudio to get a job from now on and warns Camilla again to stop dissing Raquel to everyone or he’ll throw her and Claudio out to fend for themselves.
Raquel is in her room, reading a book when Mummy Vicky interrupts. When asked, Raquel let her believe she had asked Max to help her out in leaving Tonio, which displeased Victoria very much.
Evil Max returns to Acapulco (honestly, the guy is crazy) and meets with his ally Luis, with plans to kill Tonio again.
Tonio gets back to the house and finds Raquel on the couch in the living room, joining her there. She noticed he’s gloomy and asked what was wrong... was he angry?
Tonio said he was just tired. She points out that maybe he shouldn’t have gone back to the office so soon after the helicopter crash.
‘I’m just tired of supporting parasites and good for nothings.’
He meant Camilla and Claudia but Raquel thought he was talking about her, which he quickly denied, ‘No! you’re something else.’
Uneasy again, she asked what he meant. Leaning close, he said, ‘Raquel, I like you, I like you very much.’
‘What about Maura?’ she asked.
Tonio assured her that Maura was in the past, she was the one he cared about her now. But Raquel still didn’t feel he was sincere, especially since he came home one day and found a woman who said she was his wife; who he didn’t know or ever met before. It would make much sense if they’d met in different circumstances.
Tonio agreed the circumstances weren’t normal but after getting to know her and talking with her about her problems, why wouldn’t he feel something for her?
Raquel was about to protest again but then Tonio lurched forward and planted a thorough smooch on her (we all cheered loudly that evening!) and this time she didn’t push him away, she kissed him back. He challenged her, she must feel something now. But Raquel is terrified of Max’s reaction and worried about Tonio's safety.
Max suddenly enters with Luis, fuming to see Tonio’s arms round Raquel.
‘What are you doing here?’ Tonio asked, furious.
‘Well, this is my house!’ Max snapped back, shamelessly.
‘No, it is my house and I thought I gave you enough money to go to hell and I asked you not to come back here.’
Max dared him to throw him out and he and Tonio grapple, to Raquel’s horror. Luis immediately separated them and Victoria intervenes. Tonio walked away in anger and Victoria ordered Raquel to tell Tonio Max was not to blame for their problems.
Raquel found Tonio in the study and begs him to let her leave; assuring him she’ll go somewhere where Max will never find her. But Tonio refused to give his permission, but doesn't give her a valid reason.
Claudio warns Camilla not to piss Tonio off by being nasty to Raquel, but Camilla insists no one could kick her out, her father had made the stipulation that Tonio was to make sure she was provided for (sure, but not to gamble your money away). Claudio however feels they could use Raquel to influence Tonio instead.
Max drops a heavy hint to Tonio about already taking Raquel’s virginity. At home, Tonio cheers up a worried Raquel and asks her to prepare for their outing. As Raquel is about to enter her room, she runs into Max, who tells her to tell Tonio she was pregnant, that way he’ll let her go!
NO SURRENDER!
Mummy Victoria believed Raquel ran away because of problems with Tonio- and had probably asked Max to assist her. Camilla lied to Tonio that she’d seen Max and Raquel kissing; he swallows his anger and doesn’t reply.
Martha manages to get in touch with Tonio and gives him their location under Raquel’s nose.
The head servant, Ramon comes back from his vacation and confirms from Victoria and Camilla that Tonio was now married.
While Martha and Don Daniel go sight seeing, Raquel confesses to Max that she’d told Tonio the whole story. Max is angry but is still confident Tonio did not have enough proof against him, besides he would do anything to avoid a scandal. Tonio flies to Mexico City.
Back at the hotel, Max tries to embrace Raquel, saying she’s been avoiding him for a long time, but she pushes him away, filled with scorn when he said he was still in love with her. There’s a knock on the door, it’s TONIO!

SNIPPET: IT'S ON!
Isabella asks her why she was still there after she’d told her to leave the country and enjoy her money with someone else. She refuses to believe the child was Lorenzo’s, vowing to expose her. Laura orders her to leave and tells her maid never to allow Isabella into the house again. Orlando accuses Nattie if taking the tape from his office but she tells him Horsy Gloria had given it to her to make copies. Lisette is overjoyed when Conan tells her Giacormo is going to use his own designs for his new line. Orlando confronts Horsy Gloria about the tape, Gloria admits Isabella had taken it but asks him not to tell Lorenzo. Orlando demands a kiss from her but doesn’t kiss her after all.
Empetriz tells an impatient Isabella about what Lorenzo nearly did to her precious boy. Isabella lost her temper when she suggests Alex was better for her than Lorenzo, calling him ‘an X rated gigolo who would sell his body for pennies’ (true story) and that Empetriz was a ridiculous, pathetic idiot. Lorenzo drops by the house to see how Laura was doing. Silvia is told by Alex his mother was planning on closing her business.
Orlando accuses Isabella for snooping around his office and using the tape to break up Lorenzo and Silvia, calling her an evil woman (and in a polite tone too). Isabella replied she’s merely took back what was rightfully hers, but he can’t prove a thing. She sinisterly warns him not to cross swords with her or he’d seriously regret it, she’ll take him down no matter what. When Orlando pointed out she nursed a sick obsession for Lorenzo, not love, she snaps that he didn’t know the meaning of love and orders him out of her office. Silvia surprisingly proposes that she and Empetriz be business partners (a dumb ass idea if I’ve ever heard one). Laura is hurt that Lorenzo cared more about the baby than her. Giacormo hobbles to the scene of the accident alone (Nattie will half kill you if she knew) and recalls everything; that Laura had yelled out to him before he was knocked down.

SNIPPET: POOR SILVIA!
An angry Silvia doesn’t believe him until he mentions the DNA test which proved he wasn’t the popsie. Giacormo insists he didn’t want Isabella in his boutique and decides to get Conan to replace her. Nattie finds Silvia crying and is disgusted she had believed Alex, but after she’s informed about the DNA test, Nattie realizes why Laura had come to the office. Empetriz is furious that Mimi and Tony have no plans of getting married. Orlando pays Laura a visit and she asks him to get her money back from Alcazar. He agrees but asks her if Lorenzo is really the father of her child. Nattie is cold towards Alex and doesn’t allow him to see Silvia, who is still crying in her room. Conan tells Nattie that Mimi told him that Giacormo suspects someone had tried to murder him. Nattie remembers how that day of the accident, Laura had called and called asking for Giacormo. Conan gets a call from Lorenzo and agrees to run the shop until Giacormo is discharged. Empetriz visits a broody Isabella to clear up the misinformation, who then admits she loved Lorenzo (not love, obsession), during her time in Europe, she had hoped she could get him back at any time. Empetriz again suggests she date Alex (yuck) but Isabella tiredly replied he wasn’t her type and is more determined to get Lorenzo back.
Tony feels a lot better now that he’s put his rage behind him and asks Mimi to be his girl again but she prefers they take it slow this time. Nattie suggest that Laura must have gotten pregnant before Lorenzo started going out with Silvia. Silvia refuses to consider going back to him, since it would mean him abandoning his child; her own father had abandoned her and her late mother.
At the office, Lorenzo asks Nattie about Silvia, furious that Alex had told her about the baby and wondering out loud why she’d broken up with him in the first place. Full of guilt, Nattie confessed about the tape she had given Silvia to listen to, the conversation between Isabella and Laura, which she apologizes for. Lorenzo is angry about it, and decides to talk to Silvia. Isabella runs into him outside and apologizes about her emotional outburst. She is offended to learn that Conan was to replace her. Orlando tells Laura that Alcazar has left the country, much to her distress. Lysette hopes Conan will have his own line one day but he prefers working in Silvia’s factory. Lysette feels he’s merely wasting his talent (that girl is beginning to show signs of narrow mindedness). Lorenzo finds Silvia at the gym. She isn’t pleased to see him and asks him to leave. He tries explaining about the tape and insists he loved her but Silvia replies the tape was merely detail, refusing to believe him. Even if it was a lie, she couldn’t go back to him since he was now going to be a father. Alex comes up and Lorenzo ominously asks him to step outside, he has several things to ‘discuss’ with him. Isabella runs into Tony, asking after his father, who comes out, wheeled by Mimi. He doesn’t fall for her insincere concern, accusing her of sabotaging his catwalk show and criticizing his designs. Isabella insinuates Laura had something to do with his accident and indicates she wants him to be her ally. Tony returns to say the discharge papers were ready. Alex is asked if the results were real or they were manipulated by him, but he denies it. Lorenzo sharply warns to stay away form Silvia; Alex hotly reminds him that Silvia was his girl friend once and will be again. Lorenzo comes to blows with him but is stopped by Empetriz.
Giacormo and Mimi get to the boutique and Conan and Lysette warmly welcome him back. The doctor reminds a tired Laura to take her medicine, to treat her anemia. Silvia comes to visit Giacormo and acquires him as a new client for her business, after showing photos of her clothes. Giacormo asks after Nattie, hoping she had really forgiven him (you can’t expect it to be easy for a girl to find out the man she’s been dating is gay) but Silvia assures him Nattie loved him very much and was really sorry for what she had said to him that fateful day. Neither of them is pleased to see Laura, who came to tell him about the baby. Silvia wants to leave but Giacormo stops her. Laura insists she came to apologies to him, and to Silvia for sleeping with Alex and trying to manipulate her into falling in love with Lorenzo (too late for that) but Silvia replied she sounded like Alex.
Nattie asks Orlando if he really believed Lorenzo was the father of the baby. Giacormo suggests that Lorenzo had the DNA test also, but Laura is confident they’ll both make good parents. Silvia leaves in disgust. Giacormo tells her what Nattie had told him.
Lorenzo is not a 100% sure he’s the father; perhaps she had another lover besides Alex, something Orlando is visibly uncomfortable talking about. He’s surprised that Nattie had found the tape, which he had locked up. Lorenzo is depressed Silvia left him, but refuses to go back to Laura or start a relationship with Isabella. Mimi suggests they throw a baby shower. Laura is angry to find Isabella in her house.
THREE STEPS BACK!
Mimi tells a very surprised Silvia that Laura was pregnant was Alex’s child. Silvia confesses to Nattie that she missed Lorenzo very much.Nattie urged her to talk things out with Lorenzo but Silvia is afraid he might admit that he had cheated on her with Isabella if she did. Lorenzo visits Giacormo who isn’t pleased to hear Isabella was looking after the boutique. Isabella urges Lorenzo to consider having a child with her instead, which he angrily refuses; he had feelings for someone else, Silvia. Giacormo confides in Mimi, who then tells Conan. After much thought,
Silvia dresses herself to go and see Lorenzo. When Alex asks her where she was going, she asks him to focus his nose on his coming child, but is stunned when he tells her the child is Lorenzo’s.
(HE CERTAINLY ENJOYED TELLING HER THAT, BASTARD! )

SNIPPET: A SHOCK FOR LORENZO
Tony tells his father that Laura told him Lorenzo and Orlando tried to kill him because he refused to testify against her in court; but Giacormo dismisses it as rubbish, they could never do that to him. Nattie arrives and the couple reconcile. Lorenzo angrily confronts Isabella about the news paper article. Tony is asked to film a commercial, featuring Mimi, Lisette and Conan modeling Silvia’s clothes. Lorenzo gets a shock when Laura returns the bearer bonds. She reminds him he had made investments abroad to ensure their children were provided for. When he points out that they had no children, she then tells him she was carrying his child.
Lorenzo accuses her of lying since she had been taking birth control pills and sleeping with Alex(besides, after discovering the affair, Lorenzo in turn started sleeping with Silvia), but the results prove otherwise. Tony films the commercial. Empetriz and Alex visit Giacormo at the hospital Giacormo asks Alex to fetch an address book from m the boutique. Lorenzo angrily tells Laura he wouldn’t want to have a baby with her if she was the last woman on earth. Laura tries to excuse herself, that she had slept with Alex because she’d felt alone, which he scoffs at, refusing to accept her apology or excuses. Laura begs him not to let their baby suffer because of her mistake.
Nattie wonders why Lorenzo looks so pensive. Gloria overhears Nattie telling Orlando Laura had come to see Lorenzo earlier. Gloria then phones Isabella to let her know. (By the way, Gloria reminds me of a horse, with her long face). Alex shows up to get the address book and is very rude to Isabella when she congratulates him on the baby. Empetriz laments over her debts and calls Silvia an ‘unintelligent idiot’ when she enters with Mimi, asking her to move her sewing equipment somewhere else. Lorenzo finds it difficult to accept Laura’s news. Alex accuses his mother for telling Isabella, who insists it was accidental. Orlando is very surprised at Lorenzo’s news, visibly relieved that the tests reveal it is Lorenzo’s.(You know it isn’t his, Orlando, you slept with her last).
At the hospital, Giacormo asked Nattie how she’d found out about his accident, she told him about Laura’s call after he’d left that day.
Lorenzo apologized to Isabella and shocks her by telling her Laura’s pregnancy was his. Isabella insists Laura was lying, angrily breaking into tears, begging him not to believe Laura as she was just using him; she, Isabella was the only woman who really cared about him.
(Lorenzo is really in a dilemma, a pregnant ex-wife, an evil obsessive former fiancée and an ex girl friend he loves dearly but who refuses to talk to him)

SNIPPET: SURPRISE! SURPRISE!

Laura now knows who the father is. The doctor reminds her to come for check ups to treat her anemia (why won’t she have anemia, with her stupid dieting). Nattie is very anxious to see Giacormo. Conan is shocked when she tells him Giacormo’s secret but Nattie added that Giacormo had said he had feelings for her and could possibly sleep with her after all. Giacormo and Tony reconcile. Empetriz borrows more money from Isabella and accidently tells her about Laura’s pregnancy. Mimi and Tony discuss their own unborn baby; Mimi isn’t pleased to see ‘that witch’ (Laura) as she called her, who asks her about her pregnancy. Lorenzo can’t imagine why anyone would want to kill an easy going man like Giacormo. Silvia is furious when she sees the picture of Lorenzo and Isabella in the paper. Alex is told by Laura that he wasn’t the father of her baby!
(It’s most definitely Orlando then)
SNIPPET: WHO IS THE FATHER?

Laura informs Alex and asks him to take a paternity test. Alex has his own plan, to blackmail her if it turned out he was the father. Tony prepares a tape for Mimi. Isabella takes over the running of Giacormo’s boutique until he’s better. Maximo, Mimi’s record producer leaves town with Mimi’s tracks; it turns out he’s a con man. Empetriz is really angry and is excited when Alex tells her about Laura’s pregnancy and the amount of money he’ll make if it turned out to be his child; she is warned not to tell anyone. Lorenzo has dinner with Isabella, not knowing that Isabella had hired a journalist to photo their date. Laura is told by Alcazar that the police are investigating the accident. He demands for his 30% share as he wants to leave the country, Laura accuses him of being a spineless coward but angrily gives him the check. Lorenzo checks on Isabella at the boutique, reminding her it was temporary until Giacormo comes back. Isabella criticizes Giacormo’s designs, but Lorenzo insists Giacormo will remain head designer. Mimi and Silvia come up with advertising ideas for her garments. Empetriz informs Mimi on what Maximo had done and drops a heavy hint to Silvia. Mimi listens to Tony’s tape.
Alone with Giacormo, Nattie slips her hand into his, tearfully asking for forgiveness for her unkindness towards him. He suddenly squeezes her hand and regains consciousness; asking her what had happened to him. Mimi is overjoyed at Tony’s recorded message; he’s now ready to take responsibility for their unborn child. Tony calls Mimi to tell her his father was now awake and apologized to her for his bad behavior towards her.
Alex informs Silvia on the good news, but she pushes him away, telling him not to touch her. Laura prays the baby is Lorenzo’s (nonsense, the last person you slept with was Orlando, who Lorenzo will kill D-E-A-D if and when he ever finds out). Nattie phones Lorenzo to inform him about Giacormo.
Silvia has a dream, where Lorenzo is kissing her passionately, but wakes up suddenly. Nattie asked her what was wrong but she tells her it was a nightmare. Nattie prepares to visit Giacormo. Laura receives the DNA tests.
SNIPPET: A SURPISING DEVELOPMENT
Orlando makes some investigations and told Isabella that the car that had knocked Giacormo down was found, abandoned and the police believe the drivers were hired men. Isabella insinuates that the accident could be linked with Giacormo’s decision to testify against Laura in court. Laura consults a doctor about her illness, who decides to run some tests. At the hospital, Silvia comforts Nattie who is still fretting over Giacormo’s condition, full of regret over their fight, refusing to go home at Lorenzo’s suggestion. He and Silvia exchange looks but do not speak to each other yet again. Isabella ‘accidently’ informs a shocked Tony that the accident had been planned and points out that Laura had a vendetta against his father. But when Tony voiced his suspicions about Laura being responsible for his popsie’s state Laura denied it, claiming that he was probably run down because he had refused testifying against her, insinuating Lorenzo or Orlando could be behind it. Mimi is scornful her statement about Giacormo being her best friend. Empetriz expresses her hope that Isabella and Alex will hook up, instead of him going back to ‘that stupid Silvia’ but Evil Isabella tells her to get that idea out of her head, Alex was in love with Silvia. Empertiz pointed out that if Alex and Silvia got back together, she’ll be able to get her claws into Lorenzo, whom she’s obviously in love with. Isabella coldly reminded her that she invested a lot of money in her clothing factory; therefore she should watch her mouth.
Orlando informs Lorenzo on what he’d found out before leaving. Nattie still refuses to go home and suddenly remembered Laura had called asking about Giacormo after he’d left the office. Conan finally convinces her to go home and rest. Lorenzo and Silvia look at each other as she left. Giacormo moves in his sleep while Tony is there, who begins to pray, with the promise that he’ll change.
In the morning, Silvia asks Conan to call Lysette to help her with an advertising idea. Tony treats Lorenzo coldly when he comes to the hospital, remembering what Laura had said. Laura is given shocking news by her doctor; she’s pregnant!

LA MUJER DE LORENZO IS BACK!

And thank God too, after being subjected to repeats from AIT and GALAXY for ages before it was replaced by the current Cuerpo Del Deseo. It’s now on MBI (at 8.30 pm on Tuesday to Friday) and a few things have happened since Lorenzo and Silvia’s breakup caused by that over made-up barracuda, Isabella, who had showed her a doctored photo of her and Lorenzo naked in bed. Silvia still refused to tell Lorenzo or anyone else why she decided to end the relationship, too full of pride. Her cousin Nattie, meanwhile, is devastated to find out her boyfriend, Giacormo, was gay.
For those who don’t know the whole story, it goes like this;
PLOT
Lorenzo is happily married to Laura. Or so he thinks. Laura is actually bored with her husband and has no plans of giving him the children he wants so badly. She then starts an affair with Alex, an opportunistic personal trainer and decides to divorce Lorenzo. But she remembered that if she did, she’ll lose any chance of acquiring half his estate, according to the pre-nuptial agreement. So she decided to make a way of Lorenzo to be the guilty party, by setting him up with the perfect woman.
First candidate was his personal secretary, Nattie but she was nursing a broken heart after her break up from Orlando, Lorenzo’s lawyer. At the same time, she didn’t want Isabella, Lorenzo’s vengeful old flame (and ex best friend) just returned from Europe to get her hands on him, so the final candidate was Alex’s own twinkle-eyed girlfriend, Silvia, a gym instructor several years younger than Lorenzo.
Laura constantly pushes them together, not realizing that Alex had been paid by Isabella to seduce her and break up the marriage. Silvia and Lorenzo, having a lot in common, become close friends meanwhile. Isabella sends Lorenzo photos of his wife in bed with Alex and he and Silvia are heartbroken at the deceit.
As the divorce proceedings begin, Lorenzo and Silvia give in to the attraction they’ve held back for so long, realizing they were in love after all. But evil Isabella has her own plans…

SNIPPET: A CONSPIRACY….
Laura’s lawyer, Alcazar, succeeded in getting a huge settlement from Lorenzo by telling lies against him in court, although she had been the one to cheat on him with Alex, who is now trying to win Silvia back. Conan and Lysette on the other hand, have repaired their relationship, much to Mimi’s displeasure.
Out of anger and spite, Laura arranged with her lawyer to ‘take care of’ Giacormo, who completely knew of her affair with Alex and had threatened to testify against her (to pay her out for telling Tony about his homosexuality) but had a sudden change of heart and decided to end the operation as the time grew near, but it was far too late.
Giacormo showed up at the office to humbly apologize to Nattie, saying he didn’t want to lose her friendship but Nattie coldly told him to go away. After he left, she got a phone call from a frantic Laura, asking where Giacormo was. Laura managed to find him herself and called out to him but he turned his back on her angrily and got run over by the hired men. Before running away, she called an ambulance to the scene of the accident.
Nattie’s phone no. was found in his wallet at the hospital, so she was the first person who found out. Filled with fear for Giacormo’s life, Nattie sent Conan to find Tony.
Conan asked Mimi where he could find Tony; she and Empetriz were informed of the accident, the silly woman called Isabella to tell her about it.
At first Tony didn’t want to go with Conan (still feeling repulsed by his father) but his conscience got the better of him and followed him to the hospital where Lorenzo, Nattie, Silvia, Hercules, Alex, Empetriz and Mimi were already gathered. The doctor informed them that he was still unconscious. Evil Isabella showed up (merely to be with Lorenzo), glared at by Silvia. Nattie was so full of guilt over her last encounter with Giacormo, very afraid he’ll die. Empetriz criticizes her son’s solicitous behavior towards Silvia, wondering what he saw in her. Tony, who sat by his father’s side, begging his forgiveness for his behavior towards him. Laura is furious with Alcazar for not cancelling the order, but he shocks her by saying it would be in her best interest if Giacormo died. Alex confided in evil Isabella that he really didn’t care about Giacormo, but had merely used the accident to be around Silvia, whom he hopes will overlook his affair with Laura and reconcile with him. Evil Isabella informs him Laura had received half of Lorenzo’s estate, which interests him. Alcazar refuses to go with Laura to see Giacormo; Laura suddenly feels dizzy and decides to go to see a doctor. Although Lorenzo and Silvia didn’t speak to each other, the lingering looks they exchanged said it all; they missed each other very much. Nattie is frightened that Giacormo would die but Silvia urges her to be positive. Laura also appeared and exchanged unpleasantries with Evil Isabella. Tony arrives, insistent on seeing his Dad, who is unconscious. He begs him to forgive him for his bad behavior the past few days.
