After the shock came the rage. In great fury David darted at Marcelo, grabbing him by the neck. 'Bastard!' He shouted. Lorena, now awake, watched in great confusion. Aide is very pleased with herself.
Lorena pleaded with David to listen to her; she would never, ever cheat on him.. she got drunk and Aide helped her to bed, that's all! Marcelo shamelessly begged David to forgive them both, it was out of love they had slept together all this time, Lorena screamed at him to shut the hell up- she never slept with him! David beat up Marcelo, calling him trash, Marcelo retorted that he could do and say what he liked to him but he'll never take Lorena from him- she loved him, not David. Furious, David threw him out before turning on Lorena; accusing her of being a liar and a hypocrite. Lorena wept bitterly, pleading with him to believe her, she loved him... only him but he does not listen to her. Marcelo's wife is shocked to see his nose bleeding.
Power Girl hurries into the room to console Lorena who is crying; unable to understand what had happened and why her husband refused to believe her.
At the bar, Oscar warned David not to rush things; there had to be a good explanation for what he'd seen but David was too angry and sad to pay attention. Lorena was his first love and she had betrayed him, he couldn't stay married to him. Upstairs, he tells Lorena in front of everyone that their marriage was definitely over. Very angry and hurt, Lorena accepted her fate but warned him he would be be sorry he ever thought such a thing about her.
Back in Acapulco, though she tried hard to deny it; Julia got a terrible scolding from an angry Lorena for helping Marcelo ruin her marriage- declaring she'll never forgive her. Marcelo gloats over the success of his plan; Aide meanwhile gives a very depressed  David her sympathy. Elena on the other hand does not believe Lorena is guilty.
To Aide's anger, David begins to date Enrique's girlfriend- Irasema- instead of her.
Elena paid Lorena a visit at her father's house; Lorena protested that she was innocent and Elena should know; thanks to the conversation she had heard, he and that bitch Aide had set her up. David also visited Lorena and it ends bitterly; Lorena was going ahead with the divorce and so was he. She wept as the door slammed behind him.
Elena angrily confronted Marcelo for what he did- she knew very well that Lorena would never cheat David, Marcelo tried to deny it but she knew he was lying. It still didn't help as David stubbornly refused to believe Lorena.
Marcelo went to David's office to deliberately provoke him and they engage in a fierce fight.
Enrique overheard Aide and Cinthia talking about David and Irasema; invoking his jealousy.
Lorena is very surprised to see Humberto again when he visits her father's bar. Humberto has his own agenda, now that Lorena was free; he could now pursue her.
Aide and Marcelo discuss getting rid of Irasema- she was an unexpected obstacle to her hopeful marriage to David. Meanwhile, Humberto told Lorena that he wanted to be more than friends with her...

Meanwhile, Aide and Marcelo carefully hatch out their plan of separating the happy couple. Aide had heard from her spy Raul that David was travelling to the States on a business trip and he was taking Lorena along. Marcelo enlists the help of Lorena's sister Julia who was still very resentful towards David and Lorena for making her earn her keep instead of giving her a hefty monthly allowance. Julia does not see how he will be able to convince David that Lorena was cheating on him when she was so crazy about him and vice versa. Besides, Lorena hated Marcelo. Aide persuades her Mom and sister to go to New York with her and Marcelo; her mum is puzzled that Aide seemed so anxious to go on the trip. Lorena's despicable sister agreed to help Marcelo ruin her sister's marriage as she felt that if she remained on their side, she won't get anything. (WHAT A BITCH) Marcelo is very pleased, naturally and begins his evil plan. And unsuspecting Raul gives Aide David's business schedule- when he arrived in New York, he will head to Toronto for a whole day. Meanwhile, Julia plants Marcelo's hairbrush and gold chain in David and Lorena's bedroom. While dressing for Marcelo's wedding, David saw and recognized the chain as he had given it to Marcelo on his birthday years ago. Marcelo denies putting the chain there or having anything with Lorena; urging David not to make a scene on his wedding day. That night, David and Lorena make passionate love as always; assuring each other of their love.
Enrinque- Cinthia's husband returns to her, to her joy.

David and Lorena arrive in New York; David kissing Lorena goodbye at the hotel before leaving for Toronto with Raul and Oscar. Aide is very anxious for the plan to work...
Elena and Lorena go shopping with Power Girl and Aide's mother and on their return are joined by Marcelo, his wife and Aide. Lorena got a phone call from David that he might not come back that night but tomorrow; to Aide's dismay. Meanwhile, David urges Raul to wrap everything up so he'l head back to New York early and be with Lorena. To Aide's relief, Raul informed her of this. Time for the plan...
All the women are tipsy from the drinks, but Lorena is really drunk, thanks to Aide' continuous filling of her glass. Aide helps Lorena to bed and then begins to take off her shoes and white pants suit...
Marcelo then entered  and cuddles close to a comatose Lorena!
Anticipating his wife's joy at his return, David goes into the suite and finds Marcelo and his beloved wife entwined in bed...

Chapter 10

‘Mummy, Grandma, Aunt Maggie; guess what?’ Ciara bounced into the Brady Pub; a delighted, excited expression all over her pretty face.

‘Ciara...’ Bo began, but Ciara was too happy and animated to heed her father. ‘Darcy’s getting married!’ She burst out gleefully, skipping about in excitement. ‘And I’m going to be a flower girl and Mel’s going to be her bridesmaid!’

WHO COULD PLAY BO BRADY NEXT?

Let me clarify something first ; I'm an ex-viewer of DAYS OF OUR LIVES, I no longer watch nor support it; it's a show that lost its glory a long time ago and I could care less if it remains for more seasons or not. I'm so disappointed at how the show is now; especially with the absence of my favorite couple- Bo and Carly.

                                  

                                  

This is not something I expect to happen  at all but it's an interesting question: which actor can fill Peter
Reckell's shoes? That itself is not even  possible except from 1992-1995 when Bo Brady was played by Robert Kelker Kelly. His portrayal was good; not the same as Peter's because I (and probably other viewers back then ) noticed that the working rapport wasn't as strong as the one she had with Peter and from  what I saw in the old clips, she truly truly tried her best to make their scenes together work.

Who else can likely play Bo Brady aside these two actors; nagging question! I went over the actors I liked the most and finally settled on actor Lorenzo Lamas. He played Hector Ramirez in THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL and before that I saw him in RENEGADE where he played a Harley riding bounty hunter with a price on his head. He's talented enough, certainly more than handsome enough and tough looking enough to play the role; plus in real-life he's into motorcycles, he launched a motor cycle company some years ago.











I know a lot of people  can't see a third actor play Bo but come on...  how many DAYS OF OUR LIVES faithfuls ( which does NOT include me)  will continue to be content with  the "Invisible Bo" angle that is currently going on; I would be bored to tears by now! If I owned a Soap and made several mistakes; I would do all I can to rectify those mistakes immediately. But so far I've heard of no real changes. The real solution is for Peter and CC to come back and the era of Carbo 3.0 begin  but since that's not ever going to happen; either they get a Bo recast or bounce Hope from the show for good.

Victor sat in his study, waiting for Carly to arrive. He’d phoned her an hour ago, asking her to come by the house when she had the time; luckily she wasn't busy and agreed to come, to his relief. He had plenty to say to her and he hoped a lot of good will come out of it.

Chapter 8

Bo was angry and sad at the blank look on Darcy’s beautiful brown eyes and the way she tried following the sound of their voices; inwardly swearing vengeance on the person responsible for it.

CARBO 3.0- IS IT TOO MUCH TO WISH FOR?

This Christmas week, I found myself watching old Christmas episodes of Days of Our Lives; the first one where Carly dressed up as Santa Claus while Bo, acting as "Santa's helper"; read the Christmas story to the sick children in the Paediatric Ward, the hospital staff and Dr. and Mrs. Horton (whose presence in DAYS is really, really missed). This episode aired in 1990, the same year Crystal Chappell's character Carly Manning made her debut in DAYS. At that time, Bo was still in mourning but already attracted to the beautiful  young doctor, albeit reluctantly; especially after his son Shawn Douglas's fondness for her. Even though they weren't officially a couple then, the rapport was already there, 

 and I'm sure the viewers wondered just when Bo would gradually heal enough to claim Carly as his own. 

But even though he could barely acknowledge his feelings for her and Carly promising to give him time and space after it was discovered she was the missing Katerina Von Leushner; Bo simply couldn't deny those feelings either; at the stroke of midnight on New Year's Day 1991, he and Carly exchanged a heartfelt kiss.

The following Christmas was far more cheerful for the Carbo fans  as it was Bo and Carly's first one as a couple and it was so heartwarming seeing them so happy, their love free and open after their adventure and symbolic  exchange of vows in Mexico; the way they kept laughing and smiling at each other, the loving kisses and exchanging Christmas presents (they soon discovered they had the same idea for a present- fishing rods!). Apart from that, Bo had also framed the ancient Mayan poem Carly had recited to him and Carly got a Christmas ornament ball with her name on it, like Bo, Shawn Douglas and the Horton family members had. 

  

But what I really liked and moved me a lot , was Carly's selfless gesture; Shawn Douglas expected his mother's Christmas ornament ball be hung on the tree along with the others; even though she wasn't there. His great grandparents- Tom and Alice Horton- felt it was inappropriate as his father now had a new lady in his life but Carly insisted the ball be hung as she felt Hope should be remembered; she didn't expect them to forget her even though Bo had finally moved on with his life. And Carly moving in with Bo and Shawn Douglas simply made their happiness complete; their New Year's Day also  memorable as they literally ran in the New Year and celebrated it their own special way. That was the only happy Christmas and New Year to date Bo and Carly ever had on the show, sorry to say. 

Almost immediately came Bo's kidnapping storyline( thanks to Peter Reckell's departure) and we got a new Bo (Robert Kelker Kelly) and in came in Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorell) and the boy who turned out to be Carly's long lost son. Bo and Carly's long awaited wedding was abruptly interrupted and it never happened; Carly was buried alive, lost her memory and was manipulated by Lawrence into falling for him again, just like he did long before she met Bo and Bo and Carly's love story came to a painfully sad end. 

Our spirits were lifted when Carly suddenly returned to Salem in 2009; starting the period of what was later known as Carbo 2.0. A lot had happened since her absence and Bo's marriage to Hope was on the rocks. Even though he reminded Carly a lot had changed and their love was a long time ago, nostalgic references to the past- particularly their symbolic wedding- and lingering looks exchanged between them, followed by a sudden kiss and then unexpected sex in Carly's hotel room said otherwise; the rapport was STILL there and then they found themselves together in rekindled love.

 But what happened? Carly was written in as an unwanted interloper, shunned by her former family and friends as if she was never a significant part of their lives before(something I'll never forgive the writers for) and then she was heartbroken when the only man she ever loved chose his undeserving wife over her and she left Salem with a grown up Nicky(something I'll definitely never forgive Ken Corday for). 

Even with Peter Reckell and Crystal Chappell's exit from DAYS OF OUR LIVES, Bo and Carly are still very much discussed among the fans and that's because there is STILL SO MUCH TO BE TOLD! It took a long agonising time before  Bo and Carly hooked up in the first place, half of the year was gone before it finally happened. They never had a proper wedding, never had a child of their own, never had another chapter and it is SO unfair! There was simply no reason why these two were denied  a happy ending when their love was so passionate and consuming- especially when you look back at the old episodes when they were young and so very happy, the intense connection between  them and those special moments between them. I'm still angry Carly was made to be an interloper and an interlude for Bo, considering she was his mature love, the ONLY mature love he had out of the significant women in his life. There is still a lot to be told about them, otherwise they wouldn't still be discussed on Facebook and Twittter fanbases still wouldn't be active, more Carbo fan fiction stories written or more Carbo montages made and posted in Youtube. And how can the writers forget the love and closeness between Carly and her step-son; particularly during the period when he was deaf and when Bo was missing- I'm just glad Shawn Douglas wasn't there during Carbo 2.0; him of all people turning against Carly would've been too much to bear! 

Is it possible for Bo and Carly's story to be revived in the future? Even though Bo was recast after Peter left, I can't see anyone else except Peter play Bo Brady and I definitely can't imagine any other actress except Crystal Chappell portray Carly Manning but what are the odds they would  consent to return to DAYS? They are very much missed and a lot of the fans want them to have that real second chance after those 16 years apart. I nursed the hope Carly would come back to Salem again  but then Peter left the show.

If Bo and Carly's story can be revived, the only way I can see that happening is for Bo and Carly to be recast; two recasts sounds better than CC with another recast or Peter with a recast. Anything to have  CARBO 3.0!
