BEST T.V COUPLES OF ALL TIME

I decided not to limit it to just Soaps Operas; my favorite Couples are also from various T.V Series, Sitcoms and Telenovelas. And the huge difference between Soaps and Telenovelas is this- Telenovelas give the viewers EXACTLY what they want; angst between the signature couple but they end up together happily ever after at last; unlike one particular soap I won't bother mentioning. Since I've watched a lot of the three; It took me a long while but I've finally narrowed them down...

FLIGHT: Starring Denzel Washington; a pilot is hailed a hero after saving the lives of his passengers via an emergency landing but finds out later he might face a prison sentence after it was discovered he had alcohol in his blood system. Hero or Foe???

TOTAL RECALL : remake of Paul Verhoeven's 1990 film that starred Arnold Schwarzenegger; this time starring Colin Farrell. Set at the end of the 21st century, a factory worker is plagued by a strange dream and after a co-worker convinces him to visit a company that implants artificial memories so as to experience an imaginary adventure, Douglas gets far more than he ever expected.

DREDD: starring Karl Urban, this is the second movie based on the Judge Dredd comic strip; (the first being the 1995 film JUDGE DREDD starring Sylvester Stallone). Set in the future; Judge Dredd and his new partner must battle a very ruthless drug lord.

CARBO FAN FICTION- Return Journey: Chapter 2

Chapter 2

From the moment she made that ultimate decision, Carly found herself more motivated to move on with her life. Because he travelled a lot after leaving boarding school, Nicholas never knew about his father’s abuse so it had come as a shock to him when he’d returned for the funeral and saw the bruises and cuts on her face and listened to the servants’ testimony at the private hearing. He’d cried in her arms, begging for forgiveness and warmly embraced his sister on accompanying Carly to the convent.

Premise:

Lawrence used Carly’s amnesia to his advantage which led to her going back to him, but she and Bo shared one more day of passion on the boat before she left Salem. She and Lawrence got married but then all fell apart a month afterwards when he became ill and was pronounced sterile by his doctors. His disappointment led to rage and an abrupt switch back to the Lawrence Carly had despised. To make matters worse, she discovered she was pregnant. On the birth of the child in Paris, Lawrence clearly saw that the baby girl couldn't possibly be his and accused Carly of betraying him with Bo after she’d committed herself to him and Nicky; ordering her to give the baby up for adoption and never have contact with her or he would kill ‘Bo Brady’s bastard’. Luckily for Carly, the lawyer Lawrence chose to handle the adoption secretly met with her- he had a cousin who was a nun in a convent; located in a town several miles from Paris, he would hand over her daughter to the Mother Superior and she will be safe until she could get away from Lawrence. After years of secretly visiting her child without Lawrence finding out; Carly stabbed Lawrence in self defence when he viciously raped her one night and the authorities didn't charge her. Finally reunited with her daughter, they went to Salem and Bo was introduced to his daughter and he and Carly fell in love again to everyone’s disapproval, as he and Hope’s marriage was on the rocks. But then Hope got into serious trouble (as we all know) so Carly later found herself heartbroken... and more. P: S- In this story, Daniel and Carly didn't have a one night stand but they knew each other in medical school. Melanie is Max’s biological sister and dating Nathan after her divorce from Phillip. Since Days have indulged in SORAS to the point of ridiculousness (e.g. Stephanie is technically older than Phillip) Carly and Bo’s daughter is in her early twenties- a few years older than Chelsea; Bo's daughter with Billie Reed.

Every day Carbo fans miss this golden couple completely and our nagging sense of loss is expressed via tweets; fan sites, forums, fan fiction and more and more montages. Perhaps we are all obsessed but it's an altogether healthy obsession because Bo and Carly had such a powerfully deep love and a lovely story line yet were never given a real chance. And once again I call Ken Corday very unreasonable for the path he chose for this iconic couple; a sudden and abrupt end. But carbo fans can't forget them; not for a very long time, especially with the beautiful montages lovingly made by supporters. As long as we have them and the old carbo clips, they will always be remembered. Elena was shocked at what she'd just heard and the stunned, guilty look on Marcelo's face confirmed all was true. Lorena on the other hand looked dismayed. Elena berated him for his lies, for his misdeeds including making her believe Lorena was a liar- she was very disappointed in him. Casting an apologetic look at her daughter-in-law, she abruptly left the room, sobbing. Marcelo glared at Lorena, furious. Later on, Lorena told David what happened, feeling sorry for Elena; David in turn told her that their best friends Oscar & Power Girl were now officially a couple, to her delight. Elena and Marcelo get a surprise visitor... Marcelo's father! Elena had told Marcelo he was dead but in actual fact; Marcelo's Dad had abandoned them both so Elena had divorced him. Marcelo is very cold towards him.
Humberto, a good friend of David's- arrives to Acapulco on business and David proudly introduced Lorena to him as well as Julia. While taking a walk, David told Humberto what's been going on with Marcelo, adding he was still investigating and Marcelo had begged for another chance. Cinthia is currently unhappy; she's pregnant and alone. Aide begins her plan by first 'apologising ' to an incredulous Lorena and then seducing Raul, David's personal assistant as she needed a spy.

David and Lorena live their love everyday and Elena is warmer towards her daughter-in-law. Marcelo decided to court and marry Aide's younger sister in order to distract everyone's attention from him. Humberto is rather attentive towards Lorena, which makes her very uncomfortable. Elena begins to plan David and Lorena's church wedding; including hiring a top designer to make Lorena's dress.
Humberto confessed to Lorena that he's fallen in love with her; to her amazement and horror. She reminds him she's married and in love with David! Unfortunately, Humberto was overheard by Cinthia and Aide who later told David. David is very angry that his best friend would throw himself at his wife and told him to leave his house. Lorena assured David that in no way did she encourage Humberto and David in return said he believed her; he just never thought someone else would want to draw them apart. The clothes come off again and there's no more talking.

Carbo Music

Well... Peter has now exited DAYS *sob* and how we all miss him already!... after over two decades as Bo Brady in DAYS OF OUR LIVES; it's just not going to be the same without him... or Crystal Chappell. Bo and Carly remain the uncrowned signature couple of DAYS and their fans will always remember them as that.

As another tribute to them; I got to thinking about the lovely music used for their scenes back in the 90's and decided to compile them here. I don't remember all of them of course so pardon me if I missed a few!
