"The Strange Case of William Whipper-Snapper" Revisited

This 1982 hilarious fantasy book delighted me as a child and I wrote a post about it some years ago, which brought about a comment from the author, David R. Morgan, himself.

Recently I received some great news, a wish realised... The Strange Case of William Whipper Snapper has been republished and is back on the market!  YAY!!!

We may have works like the Harry Potter series and other modern franchises presently, but nothing beats the classics. And Personally, I'm delighted about this development because the present generation of young readers out there will be able to read this classic gem by a very talented author, and revisited by long-standing fans. David R. Morgan. who has written several more children's books and created audio poems over the years, really came through with this and we are more than grateful to him... thank you, David!

Republished by A 2 Z Press LLC,  The Strange Case of William Whipper Snapper is available to buy on Amazon., as well as David's other titles.

Plot...

William and his sister must travel through time to get rid of a talking and VERY annoying silver case after it wreaks havoc in their home.

Happy reading!

'Beacon Hill: The Series' S2 Coming Soon... At Last

The long awaited news about Beacon Hill: The Series'  Season 2; One Life To Live alumnus Hilary B. Smith will be joining the cast as Isabel Miller ; an estranged old friend of Claire's played by Days of our Lives and Guiding Light alumnus, Crystal Chappell.  Grrr... shame on you DAYS' the powers that be for chasing C.C out of the soap; I really, really miss her as Dr. Carly Manning.

It turns out Isabel is the  the mysterious visitor at the door, hence Claire's stunned reaction.  Smith is also a long standing cast member of the Emmy Award soap opera web series; Venice:The Series- which stars Crystal Chappell, who also co-created and co-produced it. And apparently, Isabel is back in Beacon Hill with a hidden agenda. Watch out viewers.

We've been waiting for that reveal for a very long time now, AND the unveiling of Season 2. And according to Beacon Hill's Twitter handle, another Emmy Award actor will be joing the cast and is yet to be unveiled. All I know is, I hope I get lucky enough to watch Season 2 and have our  nagging questions answered!

FYI, the show is NOT free online: hence check out what you have to pay if you want to watch Season 1. However, viewers can now watch S1 episodes on Vimeo, for a  limited time only of course.

Also watch this video about the cast and how you can help make Season 2 a reality.

ANOTHER TALE TOLD! : 'The Wishing Well and Other Stories'

I'm not exactly what you call the patient type but it's definitely true about good things coming to those who wait. And it has been definitely a long wait for me.

Now I can spread the good news, my new book- The Wishing Well & other stories-  my third after 2006's The Cunning Tortoise & other Stories and The Medicine Girl & other stories- is at last  in print, published by Literamed Publications, Nigeria.

Each tale is aimed at entertaining my young readers and - I hope- educate them. The best thing about writing for kids is knowing that you are going out of your way to make reading fun for them. The more I look at this current achievement, the better I feel about my chosen path, Children's Literature. Of course, I  still hope to expand my horizons, but now I've realised that writing for children is something I want to do for a very long time, by God's Grace.

REFLECTING ON CHESTER BENNINGTON'S DEATH

After reading up on Chester Bennington after hearing about his death, I am still trying to understand the level of pain he must have being bottling that made him take such a sad step. It's always a tragic waste- taking one's own life. And Some people are strangely unsympathetic about suicide, while others wonder how on earth they could have missed the signs when their loved ones commit suicide.
Death is inevitable-no exceptions- and no one wants to die, yet those who feel there is no way out simply want the pain to stop and find some level of peace.
Some of us have such thoughts now and then- the ugliness of Clinical Depression.  But we must remember who and what we still have, have faith in God and do all we can to rise about the ashes.

You will be missed, Chester Bennington!

Feeling so alone, others not seeing,
We are stung by words and actions,
Some numb, bottle or ignore the pain,
Or channel it towards positivity,
Free yourself of the past and never look back,
However some scars are too close to the bone
And the pain is opened afresh,
Then you welcome the darkness,
Allowing it consume you,
Drowning in despair and agony,
But look to the light, it’s right there!
Don’t let the devil win!
Be brave and strive to forge ahead
Let the caring and sincere in,
Have faith in the One Being,
You are someone,
YOU are important
YOU MATTER!
