SNIPPET: IT’S NOW LAURA’S TURN…
Orlando was totally unrepentant; he admitted he had definitely asked Hercules for his help to win her over and was surprised that he had told Nattie he’d been the secret admirer all along, which she is really disgusted about; as well as trying to use her father to get what he wanted, but Orlando stubbornly insisted he would do it again if he had to because he was in love with her. Nattie snapped that it still didn’t give him the right to do what he did and from now on, he must never speak to anyone in her family again. In reply, the idiot told her to get used to the idea that sooner or later she’ll come back to him, be his wife and have a family with him, which made her more furious; how could he be so arrogant? He wasn’t being arrogant, he insisted, just informing her of the inevitable. Nattie lost her temper completely, asking him to leave because she could no longer stand being around him when Lorenzo showed up. Orlando left, telling her to remember what he’d said. Lorenzo told Nattie Laura wanted to see her and she reluctantly entered her room. Laura weakly said she’d been afraid Nattie wouldn’t agree see her, she badly wanted to apologize for her behavior towards her the last time she’d been to the office; Nattie reminded her she’d also treated Silvia badly too. Laura replied she was aware of that and had spoken to Silvia and hopes she and Nattie will find peace with each other and have her forgiveness. Nattie watches her with pity.
Lorenzo informs Isabella he’ll be taking time off work for a while to look after Laura and Orlando will be in charge in the meantime, which Isabella arrogantly agrees with(she’s been more disagreeable since Lorenzo found out what she’d shown poor Silvia), asking about his level of commitment since Laura was capable of looking after herself once she’s discharged. Lorenzo tells her they’ve decided to give their marriage another chance; Isabella personally thinks he was making the biggest mistake of his life. He replied that the main reason why he was moving back in with her was to monitor her medication, so that she won’t take the wrong pills again. Isabella feigns ignorance but Lorenzo tells her she knew what he was talking about, he wasn’t insinuating anything but if Laura fell ill again he’ll be forced to get suspicions and link it to someone who wants her and the baby dead. Isabella felt he was saying she had something to do with Laura’s anemia and he should have realized he’d been wrong in marrying Laura in the first place; perhaps she attempted suicide since she knew the tricks of the trade. Lorenzo snappishly reminded her it was a private matter and he didn’t want her poking her nose into it; their relationship was now strictly professional.
Tony informs Conan his father has made an appointment with a specialist in New York, to treat his leg. Conan begin to show him the orders and balance sheets, which Tony visibly finds confusing and complicated.
At the meeting, Isabella tells them her contact in Italy, Estephano, wants his order tripled- which confuses Lorenzo. Horsy Gloria gives Isabella a meaningful look. Lorenzo said it’s impossible; currently they were working at maximum capacity, 3 eight hour shifts a day, no day off, they were even busy on Sundays! Isabella calmly said they’ll just have to hire more workers. Lorenzo isn’t sure the bank will give them another loan, but Isabella insists it was a huge opportunity; they will be the biggest textile exporting company. Gloria suggested they do subcontracting to another company to lighten the load, but Lorenzo feels uncomfortable as they have a cash flow problem; it was risky to put their eggs in one basket, but Isabella insists it was worth the risk, and Estephano wanted an answer the soonest so he didn’t have time to think about it. When Lorenzo leaves the room to go talk to Orlando, Isabella smiles evilly. Gloria demands to know what she was up to now.
Hercules gave Nattie and Silvia startling news; he and Empetriz have decided to get married! His niece is stunned and his daughter absolutely furious, loudly refusing to accept ‘that witch’. Silvia asked him if it was merely an idea or they’ve set a date already. Hercules replied they were both serious about it as they were no longer youngsters; they wanted to have each other for the rest of their lives. Nattie isn’t happy at all, why did he have to choose, of all women, that big gossip that always fought with anyone she meets? Her father replied she made him happy and content, he felt alive with her and she was full of fun and wants to marry her. Silvia calmly said if he felt it was the best decision for him, they wished him well, to Nattie’s anger. Hercules is happy as he’ll be grandfather to Mimi’s baby (being her stepfather), which is a role he’s looking forward to; Nattie declares he’s completely mad but Silvia reproaches her. She points out neither of them like E.P, but the person who will be dealing with her most often is Hercules and they have to be supportive now. Hercules pleads with Nattie for her and Conan’s approval as he won’t be able to get married in such circumstances, but she accuses him of trying to make her feel bad, which she won’t allow and tells him that under no circumstances should E.P EVER think of trying to be her mother. Hercules promised he won’t stop loving Nattie and Conan once they are married. To change the subject, Nattie asked him why he’d told Silvia he didn’t know her father. He replies his late sister, Silvia’s mum, had met him in Mexico, someone had introduced them. But Nattie insists she remembers him mentioning his sister’s husband when she was a kid, he’d said he was his friend and a very funny guy. But her father replied she was mistaken and left abruptly.
Laura gets an unwelcome visitor, Alex. She tells him to get out, he says she shouldn’t talk to him that way; he only came to see how she was. Laura didn’t want Lorenzo to find him there, since they have reconciled. Alex receives this news with a stupid smirk on his face; Silvia will now return to him (yeah, in your dreams, gigolo).
Empetriz tries on her old wedding gown she’d worn on her first wedding, which no longer fits- Mimi advises her to just go and buy a new gown. Orlando agrees they should use their properties as collateral, in spite of the risk involved, a bank has agreed to give them a big loan.
Alex interrupts Silvia and Nattie in the middle of work; Alex asks to speak to Silvia alone, he wanted to tell her what Laura had told him.
Gloria asked Isabella if the sudden upping of production was part of her revenge on Lorenzo and is told not to ask questions since she wouldn’t want to be involved in the matter. But Gloria feels she was making a huge mistake, as setting a trap will only push Lorenzo further away from her. Isabella arrogantly tells her her opinion did not count; she was just there to follow orders and is told Orlando has been asking questions about Estephano and his company. Isabella calls Orlando an imbecile who is incapable of adding two and two together and is certain her plan (whatever it was) will succeed. (Oh, Lorenzo, you are a total idjit!)
Alex was on the verge of telling Silvia what Laura had said but her harsh tone when he hesitates discourages him. She asks if Laura had had a relapse but he replies she was much better and will soon go home. She’s annoyed he’d sent Nattie out for such a trivial thing.
Lorenzo tells Isabella he and Orlando have agreed to up production and would get smaller companies to help them. Empetriz begins to work out, in order to fit into her wedding dress. (Miser can’t spend money on a new one, nonsense!)

HANCOCK, THE X-FILES AND EFURU...
The new movie to see besides Will Smith's new venture, HANCOCK, about a superhero who is more of a nuisance and a liability than the new Sueprman, is THE X-FILES: I WANT TO BELIEVE, about the further adventures of the two FBI agents, open minded Fox Mulder(DAVID DUCHOVNY) and stubbornly sceptical Dana Scully(GILLIAN ANDERSON), whose cases always have scientific and supernatural under tones. The two obviously care deeply for each other but have always remained platonic friends... until much much later. I think it was because Mulder was too wrapped up to solve the mystery of his younger sister's abduction by aliens and reserved Scully respected his preoccupation enough not to press him. It also stars Alvin Joiner, better known as rapper ''Xzibit'' as FBI agent Mosely Drummy. This is the second X files movie, the first one came out in 1998, THE X FILES: FIGHT FOR THE FUTURE, (which some people unkindly said sucked), set six years after the events of the original series and directed by the series' creator, Chris Carter.
By the way, one of the weekly story lines of the X FILES SERIES, (which started in 1993 and ended in 2002) was not used, instead the script was used to create the supernatural thriller film, FINAL DESTINATION. I found it more fascinating than creepy but the person I really detested in the whole show was the cigarette smoking man, who held all the answers Mulder and Scully almost got killed to find. For those who are X files fans like myself, it's a must watch.

Now a very pressing suggestion, since there is a movie adaptation of Prof. Chinua Achebe's classic
THINGS FALL APART, does'nt any one feel there should be a movie adaptation of Flora Nwapa's classic novel EFURU? Nollywood should consider making a movie adaptation of this fantastic book, especially since they've been improving lately with the use of 35mm, which Hollywood use, why not? Pls, Nollywood directors out there, consider adapting this book into a movie, at least as a tribute to Madam Nwapa, who was the very first Nigerian woman to write a novel. Visitors, pls air your views on this.
SNIPPET: SHAMELESS, EVIL WOMAN!
Thank you to my visitor who left a caring message, I’m much better now and very sorry for the abrupt break. Luckily I have a way of putting together my posts that covers what’s been happening in a program for a week or so, like I did in CATALINA y SEBASTIAN posts. So this is what’s been happening until today’s episode…
Tony accused Mimi of being difficult, she replied that she had many reasons for not wanting them to be a couple just yet. They get into an argument over the choice of the baby’s name, making Mimi to leave in a huff.
At first Isabella tried to deny the accusation but after Lorenzo tells her to stop the stupid games, she admits she did what she did, because she loved him. He in turn angrily said if she truly loved him, she’ll want him to be happy, instead of using doctored photos to come between him and the girl he loved very much, how dare she take a photo of him during that mistake they committed? (Lorenzo slept with Isabella the night he and Silvia found out they were being played by Laura and Alex, he was drunk and Isabella had manipulated him, much to my everlasting disgust). Isabella hotly reminded him she hadn’t forced him to sleep with her and tearfully leaves the table. Lorenzo instructs Nattie to get Silvia to go to a certain address, he’ll meet her there. Silvia and Conan discuss their new orders and plans for a new campaign when Nattie calls her to ask her to meet her at the address, which is a photo lab. Egged on by Alex, Empetriz tells Silvia, as she’s on her way out, that the condition about her staying away from Alex was revoked, but like I predicted, Silvia couldn’t care less; she told Alex she’ll never, ever go back to him and walks out, Conan laughing.
Isabella sits in her hotel room, morose but without remorse, she says to herself that she didn’t care what Lorenzo thought of her, the damage has already been done and she’ll just have to find another means of revenge. The investigator she hired to find out who had been sending letters to Laura from Venezuela shows up and hands her his report, the person is Laura’s popsie and he’s a convict.
Silvia is furious to see Lorenzo at the lab but is forced, at his insistence, to see how the photos she’d seen were doctored in a computer. She then asked if he and Isabella had truly slept with each other, yes or no.
Embarrassed, he admitted that he did but it was long before he and Silvia started their own affair. Silvia reminded him that on their first date, he had told her he’d been attracted to her for a long time before admitting it (it started the night he had saved her from a cheating wrestling opponent, I won’t go into that… long story), Lorenzo replied he’d been drunk and had regretted it the next day, insisting that it was her, Silvia, that he truly loved. But Silvia replied if he really loved her, he’ll leave her alone and attend to his pregnant ex-wife and walked out. (pls comment, my people, what you would do if you where in Silvia’s shoes).
Conan taunted Alex over his strenuous work out; Silvia wasn’t there to be impressed and gets angry when Alex threatens to start toasting Lysette instead. Lorenzo tells a shocked Nattie about what happened and asks her to make Silvia see reason and come back to him, which she promises to do.
Isabella receives a surprise visitor, it’s Silvia.
‘what are you doing here, you’re not welcome.’ She asked coldly.
Silvia regards her enemy for a second then slaps her across the face! (Considering she used to be a wrestler, I’d preferred if she had decked the bitch, personally I would have done that). Isabella holds her cheek, glaring at her…
Silvia informed her she now knew the truth and thought Isabella was the most desperate and pathetic woman to use such devious means to break a relationship, just because Lorenzo was in love with her, instead of Isabella, who of course shows no remorse.
Laura is escorted home by Gloria, who finds Alex outside the house and gets a lift, plus lunch. Silvia goes over what Lorenzo had told her but is very angry with Nattie for tricking her and refused to talk to her for a while. Lorenzo goes to see Isabella later and informs her while he will not break off their partnership yet, they can no longer be personal friends; from now on, no lunches, no dinners and no questions concerning his personal life. Isabella accepts this with very bad grace and asks what she called the final personal question, was he and Silvia getting back together? Lorenzo coldly told her no; Silvia insisted he attended to Laura and their unborn baby. After he left, she picked up the phone again…
At the gym, the family watches the commercial Tony had skillfully filmed on the T.V, Alex constituting a nuisance as well. Nattie is unhappy Silvia is cold towards her and receives more flowers from her ‘secret admirer’ (she’d better not go back to that idiot, Orlando).
Isabella sneaks into the house and exchanges Laura’s vitamins with a set of harmful ones, escaping through the window. Nattie decides to resign, telling Lorenzo she was fed up of Orlando, Gloria and Isabella; Lorenzo assures her she could come back whenever she wanted. Horsy Gloria and Isabella are pleased at her action. Laura bursts into their meeting, calling Isabella a disgusting woman; she throws down the doctored photos (she had sent them to Laura). Lorenzo is furious but the shameless bitch insisted she had sent them before they had had their little talk. Orlando and Gloria were very embarrassed. Silvia forgives Nattie who wants to now work for her. Empetriz isn’t pleased Nattie left her job and warns Hercules she still expects her rent when it’s time. Mimi is obviously in love with Conan, who doesn’t notice since he’s too wrapped up with Lysette, but Tony is getting more and more annoyed Mimi is consulting Conan all the time. Laura feels very tired all the time; she’s been taking the switched pills! Gloria is with her when she suddenly faints. She phones Lorenzo and gets an ambulance to take her to the hospital. Giacormo is also informed when Conan is with him at the boutique and goes there as well. Conan informs Silvia, Nattie and Alex about it. The doctor tells them Laura was in critical condition and could lose the baby. Silvia is very concerned about it since she knew Lorenzo always wanted to be a father. Isabella hears about Laura from Gloria and has the audacity to go to the house to try and switch the pills back but Giacormo enters the room with Antoinette and finds her there; she lied she had come to see Laura. Alex tries to butter up Silvia to get back with him but she informs him he was irritating her very much. Nattie gets more flowers, with a note; ‘come back’.
Laura begs both Lorenzo and Giacormo (separately) to forgive her for her past actions; she deeply regretted it and their forgiveness would hasten her recovery. Giacormo suddenly informs Lorenzo that he was going to New York for treatment on his leg (he was still using a cane) and will leave Conan in charge of the boutique until he got back, Isabella overhears the conversation. She enters to visit her enemy and more or less informs what she’d done to the pills, to Laura’s horror. Hercules goes to the office to collect Nattie’s last paycheck and is cornered by Orlando, who confides he was the secret admirer and formally asks for Nattie’s hand, (once again, I swear I’ll stop watching this telenovela if Natalia dares go back to that pig) much to Hercules’ disgust. Lorenzo tells Isabella to stop coming to see Laura; everyone knew they hated each other. Tony promises his father he’ll cooperate with Conan in his absence. The doctor informs Lorenzo they might have to abort Laura’s baby, which fills her with terror and begs Lorenzo to ask the doctor for another alternative, actually she also wants to be well enough to get her revenge on Isabella. Conan agrees to look after the boutique but insists on holding the fashion show when Giacormo got back from New York. Orlando is getting very suspicious about Isabella’s Italian ‘connections’. The doctor informs Lorenzo Laura has been taking the wrong pills but a transfusion could save her and the baby. Nattie goes to see Giacormo at the boutique, asking him why he didn’t inform her of his trip, was he going to go without saying bye to her? He told her he was going to but had been feeling bad about what happened between them (dating her but not telling her he was gay until all of a sudden); Nattie insisted she had forgotten the whole thing and saw him as nothing but a very good person. He promised to call her over the phone often while he was there. Isabella threatens to close down Silvia’s factory and have Empetriz thrown in jail for tax evasion if Empetriz didn’t pay her back her money. Silvia coldly tells her to bring the vital documents and orders her to leave her premises. Nattie isn’t pleased when Silvia tells her what she and Conan had seen earlier… Hercules and Empetriz are now sleeping with each other (YUCK!) She tells her popsie he could do what he liked but didn’t want to hear the word marriage (oh, GOD FORBID!)
Alex goes to see Isabella, threatening to tell Lorenzo what she was planning to do to the factory if she didn’t leave Silvia alone. Isabella taunts him; would Lorenzo believe someone who had seduced his wife?
Alex in return reminds her she’d been the one to hire him to seduce Laura in the first place, if Lorenzo found out about THAT…
Lorenzo thinks things through and tells a amazed Laura he’s decided to get back together with her and be a family with her and their baby, which she happily agrees to, feeling she was starting her life again and promises to make him happy from now on. He kissed her hand and tells her to get some rest. Isabella threatens to send Empetriz to jail and tell Silvia what he had done in his past if he dared open his mouth to Lorenzo and offers to pay him, but he refuses. She wonders out loud what Silvia had that made Alex and Lorenzo trail after her. Nattie thought Orlando had a lot of nerve asking Hercules for her hand but feels flattered all the same. She however said she won’t go back to him even if he turns a new leaf. Silvia agrees Alex seems to be changing and might forgive him but will never be his girlfriend again, but still will not go back to Lorenzo. Lorenzo tells Gloria and Orlando Laura was getting better and has forgiven Laura, he’ll be living with her and their baby when it comes. Gloria receives a phone call from Evil Isabella, who asks if Laura had died yet and is shocked to hear the two have reconciled. She cries, ‘he can’t do this to me!’
Mimi tells Tony what she’d promised his father that they won’t fight anymore. Isabella vows that ‘Lorenzo will pay for this’ and calls her friend Estephano, telling him ‘there has been a change of plans’. Mimi and Tony walk in on Hercules and Empetriz cuddling and are told to move to the gym to watch their video. Orlando asked Lorenzo if he had checked the contract Estephano had signed with Isabella since he can not confirm the name of his company on the Internet. Everyone watches the video clip Tony recently filmed; Tony wants to now be a professional camera man. Silvia worries over what Isabella said but Alex informs her Isabella will not bother her again, which she casually thanked him for. Lorenzo assures Laura she was out of danger and will soon go home. He tells her Nattie was on her way to visit her and is asked to leave her in private when she comes; she wanted to apologize to her(pooh, more likely to take style in telling her she had reconciled with Lorenzo, so that she’ll pass it on to Silvia). Nattie finds Orlando in the waiting room and scolds him about the STUPID thing he had told Hercules, what DID he hope achieve?
(Giacormo, if you truly don’t want to lose Nattie to Orlando, better start sleeping with her, and as for Orlando, Conan beat him to a pulp when he first cheated on Nattie- he’s merely asking for more trouble, especially since he was the last person Laura slept with. As for Silvia, Lorenzo is now doing what she asked him to do, what now??? My people, pls leave your comments on this).

A LITTLE SET BACK...
Daniel went to the mansion to see if Raquel had resolved things with Tonio and finds Martha alone in the living room, smoking. She tells him Tonio had gone upstairs to talk to her sister and hadn't yet come down. She feels Raquel was far too old fashioned, believing all Tonio wanted was have fun with her. Her father pointed out that a proper lady has to protect her dignity and her sister was a decent girl. Martha replied that if Raquel was really decent, she would have come clean with Tonio immediately instead of going on with the deception. Daniel sharply told her not to talk about her sister that way, and then asked him to fix her a drink. He remarked how well stocked the bar was and Martha agreed, one of the many reasons why they should remain in Acapulco instead of going home.
Victoria is at Camilla and Claudio’s place; she told them she was supposed to have a talk with Tonio but he had spent the day out with Maura, which amuses Camilla (sure it does, nonsense woman).
‘Well, how interesting!’ She said.
Claudio asked Victoria how Raquel had found out, and was told it had been from Tonio himself; what disturbed Victoria was that he didn’t even bother to hide it at all, didn’t they agree with her something was wrong?
Claudio felt he merely did so to make Raquel jealous, since she had run off with Max. But Victoria believes Tonio is not himself; plus he’s been saying horrible things about Max, but she’s sure if he helped Raquel, it was because she asked him to; it seemed since she came to the house, she’s been provoking him to do her will or something, she didn’t know. Camilla triumphantly pointed out that she was right about Raquel being a witch and shouldn’t be allowed to stay at the house.
They were also told that Oscar had promised to speak to Tonio; he doesn’t think the accident had changed him but Victoria is worried that if it had made him lose his memory, something else could be wrong too. Camilla and Claudio are very surprised; they hadn’t heard about Tonio’s amnesia and demanded for an explanation (Tonio had requested she shouldn’t, to protect Raquel). After making them promise not to tell Tonio she’d told them, Victoria told them how he hadn’t remembered Raquel, that he’d thought she was an adventuress, pretending to be his wife.
‘Well, isn't that the truth?’ demanded Camilla.
Victoria replied, of course not, that’s why he had gone to Guadalajara to investigate in the first place and now he was convinced he’d been mistaken. But now it seems he has a persecution complex; first he had thought his wife was a fraud, next saying someone was trying to kill him, that the crash had been preplanned but then said it wasn't , plus accusing Max of a lot of rubbish and threatening him with a pistol. She’s so worried that maybe the accident had made him slightly crazy.
Martha and Daniel are still waiting for Tonio and Raquel to come down, Martha, feeling they were probably fighting, sent Ramón to see if they were coming down to dinner at all. Ramon visibly doesn’t like being ordered around by arrogant Martha but obeys.
Her head against Tonio's shoulder, Raquel murmured, 'I'm scared.' Not exactly something she should bring up at a time like that, there's such a thing as a mood killer.
'Of what?' Tonio asked indulgently, rubbing her bare back and shoulder.
'Of Maximillian.' Well... duh, Tonio!
'And do you think I'll ever let him hurt you now? Now more than ever,' he added as Raquel moved her pretty face up to meet his. 'No one can separate you from me.'
Cuddling then resumes... until Raquel jumped in fright when there’s a knock on the door but Tonio pulled her back down.
‘What are you afraid of?’ he asked her. ‘You’re my wife, aren’t you?’
Grinning, she said, ‘yes, but I have to get used to it,’ and settled back down beside him as he asked who was knocking.
‘What are you afraid of?’ he asked her. ‘You’re my wife, aren’t you?’
Grinning, she said, ‘yes, but I have to get used to it,’ and settled back down beside him as he asked who was knocking.
It was just Ramón, so he got up to see what he wanted. Ramon asked him if he and Senora Raquel were coming down to dinner as Martha and Don Daniel were still waiting for them. Tonio replied they were to excuse them and go ahead. Just then Max passed and the look on his face when he saw Tonio in nothing but jeans, standing outside Raquel’s door! Ignoring him, Tonio asked Ramón to bring his and his wife’s supper to his room instead. He and Max regard each other silently before returning to the bedroom, closing the door behind him. Max is filled with rage! But serves him right, he brought it all on himself. Besides, for all Raquel really did love him before she discovered his betrayal, she must have caught a tiny bit of evil vibe that prevented her from knocking boots with Max after their fake wedding.
Tonio asked Raquel if it was all right they ate in his room. ‘Do you really love me?’ she asked instead.
‘Do you love me?’ he asked in return.
‘Why do you ask what you already know?’ was her reply.
‘I could say the same,’ he said, leaning down to kiss her again.
Moments later…
Tonio asked Raquel if it was all right they ate in his room. ‘Do you really love me?’ she asked instead.
‘Do you love me?’ he asked in return.
‘Why do you ask what you already know?’ was her reply.
‘I could say the same,’ he said, leaning down to kiss her again.
Moments later…
Max paces up and down his room and, unable to contain his rage any longer, marched to Raquel’s room but found it empty, the bed unmade. He then marched to Tonio's locked door and pounds on it, yelling for Raquel to come out. Raquel tries to call Tonio but he's in the shower and didn't hear her at all. She then leaves the room, through the French windows. Maxis still pounding on the door when Ramon comes up with the tray and sees him; he drops the tray in shock. Ignoring him, Max leaves, guessing she must have fled through the French windows.
Raquel is hiding in the bushes when Chucho startles her, asking her what was wrong. They both duck when Max passes. Chucho asked her if that man had frightened her, but she pleads to him not to tell him he'd seen her.
Inside, Tonio asked Ramon if he'd heard a pounding sound but Ramon merely said it was him accidentally dropping the tray. He then asks for Raquel but Ramon doesn't know where she is.
Her room is empty, so he goes back to his own and sees her entering through the glass doors, still shivering with fright. She's silent when asked what was wrong. Fearing that she'd changed her mind about a lasting relationship with him, he reminded her that he cared for her very deeply, more than she knew- it was the first time he's ever been in love, she should think on that. She asked if she could go back to her room, and he gently allowed her. But as she enters her room, Max barges in in a rage and grabs her, calling her a tramp and saying how he saw Tonio come out of her room half naked. Raquel defiantly confirmed that yes, she did make love with Tonio because he's her husband because of him.
Tonio suddenly appears from behind to rescue Raquel and the two men begin beating each other up, Raquel screaming.
Ramon, listening at the door, hurried downstairs to call Victoria, who immediately came up and broke up the fight. Poor Raquel tells Tonio she wanted to leave but he harshly said, 'with him, never!' Max tried to interrupt angrily but Victoria orders him to shut up.
Before leaving however, he shouted that if he was going to jail, he wouldn't be going alone since Raquel is his accomplice, which she loudly denied. Victoria begged Tonio to please tell her what was going on but Tonio merely said she should ask her son. Victoria left the room. Raquel clung to Tonio's arm, tearfully swearing all Max had said about her was a lie; she would never do anything to harm Tonio. What will he do? she asked.
He shook his head and said he didn't know.
FROM TV TO MOVIES
Honestly, I love AND envy America’s film history, not because it’s the largest film industry in the world but because of so much talent and a huge history of film making and T.V series. So much so that a lot of their rested T.V series later became adapted into films; like Charlie’s Angels, Thunderbirds,
Starsky and Hutch ,Miami Vice, Mission Impossible (yes naija folks, it was a T.V series back in the 60’s) and one I’m not familiar with, The Dukes of Hazzard. And not just T.V series too, but their comics; we’ve been treated to SUPERMAN, BATMAN, MASK OF ZORRO, THE FANTASTIC 4, THE X-MEN, SPIDERMAN, SUPERGIRL,CONSTANTINE, GHOST RIDER, DARE-DEVIL , ELEKTRA even THE FLINTSTONES. And now, we’re now treated to the film adaptation of one of the old animated series I loved as a child, SPEED RACER about the driver of the Mack 5, Speed Racer, who was continuously helped by the mysterious Racer X (his banished elder brother, Rex). Maybe there might be a film adaptation of TERRAHAWKS (The original THUNDERBIRDS were puppets weren’t they?), VOLTRON, BATTLE OF THE PLANETS and I really hope, THUNDERSUB. Besides SPEED RACER, we’re also being treated to another Marvel comic adaptation, IRON MAN, starring Robert Downey Jr.as Tony Stark/Iron Man and Terence Stamp as Jim who later became WAR MACHINE. And I heard last week there’ll soon be a film adaptation of THE JUSTICE LEAGUE.
Nollywood’s T.V series still have a long way to go, for one thing, do more biopics where the name are used instead of being ridiculously rearranged and changed, like the film about the Bakassi boys, the film was called ‘Issakaba’. Most of our T.V series today are SO short-lived, yet it seems ‘Family Ties’ and ‘Treasures’ are showing promise of lasting for quite a while. The best one was Checkmate, which had a good run and a reasonable ending as well as a spinoff, Fuji House of Commotion which has been on since 2001, and although Fortunes (renamed Mega fortunes) was cancelled abruptly, it was adapted to a movie named after the bitchy protagonist DANGEROUS GODDESS, the same with the series, FAMILY CIRCLE. In terms of comics adapted to T.V, we have SUPERSTORY, PAPA AJASCO and BINTA& FRIENDS. Just remaining the adaptation of the FUN TIMES; its characters Benbella, Lulu, Alhaja and Bobo Odenson WOULD be a scream on television. It’s not fair the comic was phased out without warning in the first place.

SNIPPET: ISABELLA, GOD DON CATCH YOU!!!
Orlando also finds an address of a photo lab in Isabella’s address book and writes it down. Giacormo still feels Silvia and Lorenzo can be happy in spite of Laura’s pregnancy but Silvia feels it’s impossible since Lorenzo and Laura will be living in the same house for the baby’s sake. Alex angrily tells Conan and Mimi he was moving out. Mimi phones her mother to tell her who asks her to stop him until she got there. At the restaurant, Isabella goes to the ladies’ and Lorenzo receives the photos sent by Orlando, to his greatest amazement. He phones him, filled with fury. Orlando advises him not to do anything crazy; if he quarreled with Isabella now, it could ruin the company since it’s through her connections they were exporting their stuff abroad but Lorenzo doesn’t care, he’s far too angry and upset, now that he knows why Silvia had left him without explanation. Isabella comes back and Lorenzo deliberately begins talking about his love for Silvia and how she’d left him without explanation, which visibly annoys her.
Mimi manages to keep Alex until their mother got back. He angrily confronts her about always interfering in his life, but his mother assures him she’ll tell Silvia the condition is revoked (like she would care, she loves Lorenzo now, why would she go back to a bum like you?), begging him not to leave as she loves him very much. Laura gets to the office and asks where Lorenzo is but he’s not yet back, but Nattie doesn’t allow her to wait in his office since he’s not his wife any more. When Laura arrogantly reminded her she still owned half the company, Nattie replied she didn’t since she was an ‘adulteress’, which makes the stupid woman slap her. Nattie was about to retaliate but Gloria breaks it up and leads Laura to the boardroom instead to wait for Lorenzo. Giacormo tells Mimi there was nothing to investigate after all, that it was an accident. He told her his son was upset about her decision but he personally understood since Tony had been so unkind to her before. Lorenzo deliberately provokes Isabella who curtly asks him to change the subject since it made her feel ‘awkward’. Lorenzo reminds her as his ‘friend’, she should be listening to his problems. Isabella finally tells him that she loved him and had returned from Europe to be with him again and how she hated Laura for stealing him from her (actually that’s true). Lorenzo asked her to lower her voice, but she snappishly said she didn’t care if everyone knew about it, and he shouldn’t pretend he wasn’t aware of it. Lorenzo replied, much as she was in love with him, he was very much in love with Silvia. Isabella loudly reminded him Silvia had left him, why was he still pursuing her…?
Lorenzo angrily interrupted, ‘because you showed her these doctored photos of us!’ and threw them down in front of her. For once, Evil Isabella is speechless, with the most ridiculous cornered look on her over painted face. (Oh, Isabella you first class b***h…what lie will you use now as a ditch???). HA! HA!
UNTIL NEXT WEEK, PEACE OUT and PLEASE, POST YOUR COMMENTS OR LEAVE A MESSAGE IN THE C-BOX, BOTH WOULD BE APPRECIATED VERY MUCH BY YOUR HOST.
