CUANDO SEAS MIA'S FINAL EPISODE(CONTD.)

A while back, at a visitor's request, I posted the last two episodes of WHEN YOU ARE MINE but most of us don't know that the one on our screens was the abridged English version. This is what happened after the wedding in the uncut Spanish version (with subtitles instead of English dubbing).
Now, after the wedding ceremony....

Paloma went upstairs with Lenora to take off her wedding veil before going down to the courtyard where the wedding banquet was being held. Soledad came in  and handed Paloma a letter that arrived earlier from the doctor who treated her when she passed out some days back, presumably the letter contains the results of medical tests and analysis Paloma did.

People are gathering at the wedding reception; Diego, Aurelio and Jeremy drink a toast together, Avellaneda and Giancarlo(Soledad's Italian fiance) are deep in discussion, talking about the valor and strength of the people of Mexico: “We raise ourselves from whatever failure, whatever tragedy, to start again.”

Diana and Daniella catch up with their brother Diego, who is  impatiently waiting for his wife  to join the party. Everyone applauded when she finally descends the stairs with Lenora at her heels  and the band starts playing. There is an exchange of kisses between the newly married couple and then Paloma  whispered in her husband's ear.
A stunned look on Diego's face and  his excited response is “What?? Are you sure?”

Daniela calls for everyone's attention. Diego made a speech; it was the  happiest day of his life,  the great love of his life, and the only woman he has ever loved, has married him, and on top of that she just gave him the news; THEY WERE GOING TO HAVE A BABY!!!

At that news, everyone yelled and applauded , filled with joy and happiness. The dancing begins with Diego and Paloma, and as the party goes on, everyone all end up dancing…

Seven Years Later...

Diego( still his handsome self, his hair curlier &arather longer than we last saw it) is walking in the fields calling out "Paloma!"

But instead of his wife, a beautiful little girl is crouched among the plants, she looks up as her papa approached.

"Hija, your mother's waiting for us!” Diego looks in her basket, checking out the coffee beans his little Palomita had proudly gathered before heading back to the house with her. If  one looked closely, Diego's wedding ring is flashing on his finger.

Back in the house, Paloma is looking for Aurelio, calling him but a sweet looking boy answered instead, popping out...  it's Aurelio jnr. But then Aurelio Snr. appears after she asked Jnr where his Dad was.


Avellaneda, Inez and Juan Francisco are taking a walk about how wonderful things were at Casa Blanca. They are joined by Juan Francisco's new wife... Margarita, his former secretary at El Cafetelaro and Paloma's best friend, and they walk back to the house.

As she's chatting with Martha who arrived for a visit, she smiled and held out her arms to her youngest who toddled up to her, picking the little girl up. Diego enters with little Paloma on his shoulders, followed by a small group of children; one of them a dark skinned boy(Daniella and Harold's son obviously).Diana’s and Jeremy’s little boy crying for his Mama, while Ricardito (Miguel and Berenice's son, adopted by Diego and Paloma) is sprawled out on a bench, fast asleep.
In the sitting room, little Dieguito and Soledad are watching a telenovela together , but he turns to his (still youthful looking) grandmother to say “I like the telenovela that you told to me better” and asked her to tell it again.
“It doesn’t have a title yet, but it’s the story of a girl and her mother, who collected coffee and her name was Paloma…”
“Like my mother?”
“Yes, like your mother. And how one day she found her principe azul, and his name was Diego…”
“Like my father?”
Martha, Diego & Paloma smiled from the doorway, watching. Diego puts his arms around his wife, exchanging a significant look.
And the courtyard at Casa Blanca is shown all prepared for a banquet, with family and friends all seating themselves at the table...such a happy, loving atmosphere (including a slightly older Jeremy wearing glasses, carrying his son), a serious looking  Harold speaking to his own boy. And Mariano does show up, though a little late and looking rather shy as if afraid of intruding, (who the hell invited him?).
 Paloma hugs him, happy to see him, and says there’ll be time for the two of them to talk later, as Diego welcomes him too. Paloma  proposes a toast and it’s four cheers for Hacienda Casa Blanca from everyone! There are final shots of all the happy couples...

                Juan Francisco and Margarita, Diana & Jeremy, Dani & Harold, Soledad &  Giancarlo...

                                and then a final kiss between Mr. &  Mrs. Sanchez Serrano.

SNIPPET: EVIL ISABELLA'S NEW PLAN

Jose is of course shocked at this revelation about Hercules’ niece being his daughter and agrees to stay and meet her, wondering if Silvia looked like her late mother. Laura puts on a seductive dress and perfume for Lorenzo but he’s still cold and indifferent, preferring to stay at home instead of going out to dinner with her. Laura is offended- he obviously still cares more about his unborn child than her and tries to convince him that she loved him. But Lorenzo obviously doesn’t love her anymore. Conan told Hercules that José decided to got to Chile instead of Venezuela to start a new life and it had been Alex who had taken him away from the first hotel, to make himself Silvia’s hero. Jose meets with Alex, eager to hear about this other daughter. He’s assured Silvia would be more than happy to meet him and is shown a photo of her. He is very moved, Silvia did look like her mother.
Nattie guessed correctly that Alex planned to introduce Silvia to José in order to redeem himself and admits she’d almost told Lorenzo that his wife and former lover were sisters. Isabella meets with Laura’s doctor with a proposition. When he refuses to listen , she blackmails him. Laura pressurizes Lorenzo to treat her more lovingly but he snappishly tells her he no longer trusted her after her lies, lies and more lies. Laura does not feel they could continue with the present arrangement.
Silvia asks Nattie to tell her what she was hiding, but she insists it was Orlando she was still thinking about. Hercules angrily scolds Alex about doing things without his consent. He admits it but claimed he only wanted to do what was best for Silvia. Hercules said it would destroy her since she’d been idolizing him when he’s the opposite of a good father and warns him to stay away from matters concerning his family. Alex sulkily consoles himself with the knowledge that everyone would have a shock the following morning. Laura makes a show of packing her things and Lorenzo apologizes, promising to try harder.
Laura’s doctor, with an expression of hate on his face, asks Isabella for time to think about what she’d said.

SNIPPET: A SHOCK FOR JOSE

Nattie visits Lorenzo at the office and almost tells him about the relationship between Silvia and Laura after he mentions the TV message. When he leaves the room, she calls Conan to look for him at Lorenzo’s house. Laura warmly welcomes José back but insults him by offering him a check in exchange for something(I don’t know what, the audio was bad) whatever it was shocked him very much. Mimi goes to see Tony who is overjoyed when she tells him to speed up the day of their wedding. Hurt and angry, José tears up the check and leaves. Hercules returns home very tired, but refuses to tell his gossipy wife anything. Conan finds José just leaving the house. He introduces himself as Hercules’ son and José is very pleased to meet him, explaining why he’d left the first hotel. Conan gives him the money as instructed.
Lorenzo gets home and a tearful Laura tells him more lies. Lysette is given the news by Mimi and Tony about pushing up their wedding day. Conan says goodbye to José at the airport after a long conversation. Jose calls Alex on the cell phone he still had with him , to say goodbye. Alex desperately tells him not to leave the country; because he had another daughter!( oh, Alex… Hercules WILL KILL YOU DEAD!)

SNIPPET: ALEX IS VERY INTEFERING!

Hercules is really horrified, why of all women did Laura have to be Silvia’s sister? Conan wonders how his late aunt could have gotten involved with such a shady character in the first place and goes out to look for him, warning Hercules NOT to tell E.P about this recent development. Tony refuses to accept money from Lorenzo for the shirt he bought but Lorenzo disapproves, it didn’t set a good example. Tony also apologizes to him about his rude attitude when Giacormo was at the hospital and reveals that it had been Laura who had suggested that he and Orlando were behind the accident because he had refused to testify against Laura.
Mimi and E.P wonder why Alex looks so happy all of a sudden; he merely tells them Silvia was on her way to accept him for good(in your dreams fool, she loves Lorenzo). E.P thinks he’s high on something while Mimi calls him delusional.
Laura puts on a sickly martyr act as she speaks to the journalist who had interviewed José, she denies throwing him out, insisting he had misunderstood her. She films her own version of the whole story, asking him to come home.(what a bitch!)
Nattie asks Silvia to tell Lorenzo what Laura did, but Silvia doesn’t feel she has anything to gain and he already knows the type of woman he was married to and he was only with her because of the baby.(at least she knows he still loves her) but her cousin insists that Lorenzo was more than ready to leave Laura and marry Silvia-there were many divorced fathers. Silvia however wants him to have access to his child, if they got back together Laura would spite him by not allowing him to see the child. Silvia longs very much to know her own father. Nattie is about to tell her the secret but Conan interrupts her. After Silvia leaves the room, he scolds Nattie severely then tells her who Silvia’s sister actually is.
Lorenzo returns home as the interview rounds off but refuses to comment when asked to, it was between Laura and José. He’s disgusted at her method, calling it overdramatic and convenient for her.
Alex calls José, who is expecting his ticket back to Venezuela. He’s not interested in Alex’s surprise but Alex insists. Nattie looks at José’s photo in the paper, filled with shock that Silvia’s sister was actually that horrible Laura, all the more reason Silvia must never know. Conon resumes his search.
Lorenzo confronts Laura on what she’d told Tony. She admits it but claimed she’d been very angry with him back then. He remarked that it was getting more difficult everyday for him to believe anything she says now.
Alex tells Silvia he had something to tell her but she is in a hurry and goes out. Hercules tells Alex he was making a fool of himself with the way he was harassing Silvia who does NOT want to get back with him, urges him to leave her alone. But the stupid fool insists he was this close to winning her back. Conan phones to tell his father he still can’t find him. As Hercules leaves to join in the search, Alex smiles smugly since he’s the only one who knows where José was. Lorenzo acts very coldly towards Laura who accuses him of treating her badly. Jose sees the message on TV and is very happy. He phones Alex just as he’s talking to Silvia, telling him that his daughter had forgiven him and he was on his way back to her house. Despite Alex’s protests he hangs up, to Alex’s fury. Silvia is very confused at his weird attitude.

SNIPPET: A VERY, VERY SHOCKING DISCOVERY!

Laura watches Silvia warily as she left the office. Lorenzo coldly refuses to allow Gloria help her look for her father as she’s very busy. Tony tells Mimi he’s now sure Conan was in love with her, but Mimi doesn’t believe it. Gloria tells Isabella about Lorenzo’s attitude towards Laura and the conversation she’d heard between Laura and Orlando-which Isabella finds ‘juicy’ and a future form of ammunition. E. P is amazed at what Hercules tells her, his visitor had been Silvia’s father! She urges him to tell Silvia about it but he’s bound by his promise to Mechita , a promise like that didn’t have an expiry date. It would do more harm than good for Silvia to meet him since he is an ex-convict. But E. P still feels it’s unfair to her and gets more surprised to hear that Jose doesn’t even know she exists at all, Mechita never got the chance to tell him she was carrying his baby! Unknown to them both, Alex is listening to the whole thing…
Hercules gives his children the shocking news.
Isabella assures Lorenzo, when asked that ,she didn’t know where Jose was. She goes through Silvia’s clothes, pronouncing them as ‘excellent quality.’
Nattie and Conan aren’t pleased at their father’s decision and are shocked to hear Jose didn’t even know she existed and that Silvia had an unknown half-sister. Hercules asks them both for money to buy a pane ticket for him. They aren’t happy but obey him all the same. Conan is sent to the hotel. Meanwhile , Jose gets a visitor, Alex.
Mimi thinks over what Tony had said about Conan, wondering if it was true. Silvia receives a surprise visitor-Laura. Laura tells her to stay away from her husband on her child’s behalf. Silvia is disgusted at Laura’s attempt to use her child as a trump card, calling her ‘a snake’. Laura gets angry and sneeringly asks if by selling her rags, she’ll be a big name. In return , Silvia points out at least she didn’t have to hide her past like Laura and with the speed of lightning grabs her fist when the stupid woman attempts to hit her, warning her not to try it. Laura vowed to pay her out. (So much for asking for forgiveness).
Conan finds the hotel room empty!
Lorenzo goes to the boutique and congratulates Tony on the good sales.
Alex moves José to a new hotel and gives him a cell phone to call him when necessary- adding that he had someone very special he wants him to meet(in order to make Silvia love him again no doubt, but Hercules will KILL him for this interference).
Isabella receives more info from Antonia, laving before Laura could see her. Laura is informed that a journalist had showed up to interview her about her father.
Silvia is surprised that her uncle had postponed his honeymoon and tells Nattie about Laura’s visit, feeling very sorry for Lorenzo. Conan tells his father he could not find José. Conan returns to tell his father he could not find José but is ready to go and look for him. Hercules begins to describe him. Conan listens and is filled with horror- he shows him the day’s paper which had a photo of Laura’s long lost father and his interview, asking if this was the man he was describing. Hercules sees that it was!
He said faintly, ‘ Silvia and Laura are BLOOD SISTERS…?’
(What a SECRET to hide from Silvia! What will she say? What will Laura say? What will Isabella say? Most important, what will LORENZO say, he’s married to one sister but very much in love with the other sister!)

SNIPPET: A SUSPICIOUS THOUGHT...

Lorenzo angrily confronts Laura over news on TV and in the papers but the shameless liar denies throwing Jose out.
Tony accuses Conan of being in love with Mimi when the latter points out that Mimi wasn’t comfortable about his sudden proposal. Conan strongly denies it, however.
Hercules takes Jose away to a coffee house to talk. Silvia brings some samples of her clothes to Lorenzo’s office. He’s very pleased to see her and asks her to see him for a few minutes, which she reluctantly agrees to. Jose told Hercules about how his daughter had thrown him out but didn’t blame her as he hadn’t been a good father to hear and is sad to hear from Hercules that Mechita was dead. Hercules gives him some money to get a room at a nearby hotel.
Silvia is shocked to hear from Lorenzo that Laura had thrown her father out of the house. He also told her he was unhappy and relationship with Laura was complicated. Silvia reminded him again that she’d been abandoned by her own father, he couldn’t abandon his. Lorenzo doesn’t see why he couldn’t raise his child without having to live with a woman he no longer loved. Silvia merely looks at him sadly.
Laura tells Orlando she’ll never forgive him for acting as Isabella’s lawyer, especially after the time they had shared, which Orlando refuses to talk about. Gloria overhears that part from the door. She enters and Laura asks her to help find her father. E.P is furious Hercules was still not back and calls Isabella to vent her annoyance. Hercules enters and E.P is surprised to see him looking so shocked. As Silvia receives the contracts from Lorenzo, Lorenzo wants her to stay a while longer. But before she can reply, Laura enters the office.

SNIPPET: A SUPRISE VISITOR

Jose is stunned but leaves when he’s told to. He goes to Isabella, who convinces him to appear on a TV interview, pleading his case. Laura in the meantime, lies to Lorenzo that her father had abandoned her again. At the wedding reception, Tony stuns everyone by asking Mimi to marry him, she says yes and kisses him. Everyone whoops and cheers, except Conan, who wore a weird look on his face.
Jose’s TV interview is broadcasted and Lorenzo sees it. He is furious that Laura had lied to him, AGAIN!
Jose is angry also, the reporter had twisted his words, making it look like his daughter was a monster; he calls Isabella an evil person and leaves, despite her reminder he had no money.
The following morning Hercules prepares to leave for his honeymoon when Jose enters, warmly greeting him. Alex is there and is introduced as of Hercules' gym students. Hercules is clearly not pleased to see him.

SNIPPET: LAURA'S TERRIBLE SHOCK AND HERCULES' WEDDING

Isabella has lunch with Jose, then takes him to Giacormo’s boutique to buy him some new clothes, much to Conan’s astonishment.
That night, the dinner party is going on well, then Isabella walks in with Jose. Laura is shocked! Jose is overjoyed to see his beautiful daughter after so long, who struggles to keep a happy face. Mimi and Tony snigger at the whole thing. Silvia walks in to find Orlando forcibly kissing Nattie, she slaps him and orders him to leave. She admits to Silvia that the kiss hadn’t disgusted her at all(ugh, NATTIE!). E.P wants to go and live with Hercules but Hercules prefer to live with her after they are married, especially after she still expects him to pay rent to her.
Jose congratulates Laura when she tells him she’s pregnant. Lorenzo coldly asks Isabella to leave- she tells him José was an ex convict, he should watch out and takes her leave, laughing derisively when he tells her to go, she wasn’t welcome. She says goodbye to Laura but Laura strikes her on the face instead, which shocks Jose, he thought they were best friends. Lorenzo takes his wife to bed, she feels ill again.
Lorenzo gives Laura some medicine and urges her to sleep. She tries to explain why she never mentioned Jose, she had thought he was dead.
Mimi bursts in to tell Silvia and Nattie what had happened at the dinner party – the return of Laura’s ex-con father after they had all been told by Laura she was an orphaned society lady. Isabella and Gloria laugh over the success of Isabella’s plan; not caring what Lorenzo would do. Mimi tells Hercules, E.P and Alex but Hercules doesn’t find it at all funny, they shouldn’t rejoice in such things. E.P remembers seeing the man with Isabella when she’d gone to the suite to invite her to the wedding.
Jose anxiously asks after Laura and is told she’s asleep. Lorenzo asks him to tell him all about himself. Jose revealed the family had been poor, Laura had to live with an aunt and he hadn’t seen her for 10 years. He also told Lorenzo she’d been using her mother’s maiden name as she was ashamed of his.
Silvia tells Conan about the dinner party fiasco; he remembers the man he’d seen with Isabella, laughing over Laura’s long pretence of being high society. But Silvia feels envious as she regarded it as a miracle, Laura’s father suddenly appearing back in her life, wishing it would happen to her also.
The following morning, everyone arranges the gym for the wedding ceremony. Nattie is still furious over the whole thing but Silvia points out Hercules was happy and should consider him at least.
The wedding takes place successfully, E.P looked lovely in a royal blue suit and matching scarf.
After Lorenzo goes to work, Laura angrily throws Jose out , shouting she never wanted to see him again.

SNIPPET: THE MYSTERIOUS TELEGRAM SENDER

Mimi tells Silvia she’ll be happy if she and her brother got back together since he seems to have changed but Silvia refuses to entertain it. She is visibly jealous when Silvia tells her Conan was out on a date with Lysette. Laura tells Lorenzo she won’t be inviting Orlando to the party, which he agrees with, he still isn’t happy about what he did. She will be inviting Gloria, Tony and Mimi instead.
Mimi told Alex about her conversation with Silvia; he still refuses to give up on the hope that Silvia will completely forgive him. They are both cross to see Hercules leaving their momsie’s room.
Tony tells his father over the phone that Isabella had been released. Conan congratulates Tony on his video release and new job. Lorenzo angrily confronts Orlando over defending Isabella without consulting him, he hadn’t acted as a friend at all. Orlando calmly explained he had done it for the good of the company and besides that, there was not enough evidence. Isabella bursts into the office and added her own words; she was not a killer, why didn’t he trust her at all? She also adds Orlando had merely looked out for her interests, Lorenzo walks out, accusing them of ganging up against him.
Mimi goes to the boutique to see Tony but finds only Conan. Gloria congratulates Isabella on her freedom and guessed she was planning something nasty for Laura to pay her out for having her arrested. She also tells her about the dinner party, which Isabella finds ridiculous and is certain Laura would still miscarry. Tony goes to see Laura again and she invites him and Mimi to the dinner party after he passes on his father’s message. Laura phones Silvia and also invites her to the party, to her astonishment. However Silvia refuses, saying she was very busy. Nattie and Alex regard Laura as crazy for suggesting a thing in the first place.
The investigator arrives at Isabella’s suite, with a short old man with a hard face- Laura’s popsie!

They exchange greetings; the investigator had already told him she was Laura’s best friend and confidant and apparently, his letters to Laura had gotten lost. Isabella takes Jose to lunch. Orlando asks Lorenzo if he was still angry with him; Lorenzo urges to tell him first before doing things like that again, going behind his back and besides, Isabella was not above the law. He then turns back to work, reminding Orlando they were risking their assets in this deal. Orlando smiles smugly-he knows better now, thanks to Isabella’s deal. Tony returns to the boutique and tells Mimi, who is still there, about Laura’s invitation. Conan doesn’t feel it was advisable to get close to Laura. Lorenzo sees Silvia again, to give her a vital document to sign. She tells him about Laura’s invitation, which he finds inappropriate. Exchange of looks again before he left.

SNIPPET: ISABELLA BOUCES BACK, AS ALWAYS

Orlando sees Isabella who makes a stunning deal that would greatly benefit him, in exchange of him defending her. The case is brought in front of the prosecutor, who goes over it. Laura is very angry to see that Orlando is Isabella’s lawyer. They both give their testimonies and exchange terrible words, which annoys the prosecutor, more so when they come to blows and have to be restrained. Orlando does his very best to defend Isabella, who is jaunty and very insolent throughout.
Silvia, Conan and Nattie go over some new designs and Alex makes himself a nuisance again by disturbing them. Silvia gets fed up with him and orders him to leave, he was no longer the factory’s driver. He accuses her of only doing the project to be around Lorenzo, she gets more furious and asks him again to leave. He begs her to let him stay, promising never to interfere in her business again.
Mimi and Tony again go over names for the baby and the coordinator of the competition arrives, much to Mimi’s annoyance as she’s obviously interested in Tony.
Orlando defends Isabella thoroughly and Isabella and Laura exchange more angry words and come to blows again. The prosecutor angrily calls them both to order. Silvia thinks over her last conversation with Lorenzo; he’d assured her he will now focus on his family yet he’ll always cherish the beautiful times they had shared.
The prosecutor scolds Laura and Isabella like they were school girls; their behavior was really unacceptable and they ought to be ashamed of themselves. Orlando points out Laura had started it, to her fury.
The prosecutor ruled that she had nothing much to go on as both testimonies and the evidence were questionable and doubtful and sarcastically advised Laura to submit concrete evidence if she wanted to continue with the matter. Isabella was free to go and Laura is absolutely furious. Lorenzo suddenly shows up, very surprised to find Orlando there as Isabella’s lawyer and takes Laura home. Isabella gives Orlando his ‘fee’, a folded document, but reminds him she was still angry with him for helping Lorenzo find the doctored photos.
Laura is angry about the whole thing; Lorenzo feels he should finally break off the partnership with Isabella and he does not believe Orlando’s story about defending Isabella for the good of the company, he’ll ask him in the morning. He pushes Laura away again when she tries to be amorous and reluctantly agrees to throw a dinner party to celebrate their reconciliation.
Alex isn’t pleased Isabella was released, as it meant Silvia and Lorenzo would still be working closely with each other, they were obviously still in love. Mimi asked him if he himself was still in love with Silvia. He sadly admits it. One time, Silvia had loved him unconditionally and wanted to marry him and have a family; he badly wanted them to have that relationship again. Laura asks Antonia if she had helped Isabella to switch the pills but the maid, quite shocked, denied it.
Alex disturbs Silvia again while she’s working out at the gym, not pleased she was still going on with Lorenzo’s project, which annoys her, and he didn’t have the right to tell her what to do! He demands to know if she was praying for a miracle, she sarcastically said ‘yes’. Hurt, he walks away.
Antonia visits Isabella at her suite and gives her the telegram and explained Laura didn’t even read it. Isabella pays her for her trouble. After she leaves, Isabella calls the private investigator to let him know Laura’s popsie was out of jail and he must fly to Venezuela and bring him to Lima as soon as possible.

SNIPPET: LAURA 1, ISABELLA 0 !

Laura is triumphant at the angry despair in Isabella’s tone, expressing her hope the cell she was in was comfortable. Isabella sarcastically said it was and she was waiting for Laura to join her since falsely accusing someone of murder was a serious crime. And she had made a serious mistake since if she goes to prison, Lorenzo’s company would be in jeopardy- Lorenzo will confirm it. Isabella tells Gloria she needed a lawyer who would do exactly what she asks him to do. Gloria suggests ORLANDO!
Laura remembers Lorenzo had just mortgaged the house and confirms Isabella’s warning from Orlando.
Nattie asks Hercules if he’d wanted to tell Silvia after all, he admits it but then lost the courage. Nattie finally agrees it was best if Silvia never knew, since the father she idolized was a criminal. Alex suggests to a worried Silvia she did not continue with the project for now- she feels very stressed up.
Lorenzo visits Isabella in jail; he wants to know if she had actually done what she was accused of. Isabella denies it again, calling it another of Laura’s dirty tricks. But Lorenzo is not convinced she is telling the truth when she insists she’s not a killer, he knew her very well, didn’t he, she’ll never hurt his child as it would be hurting him. He merely walks away.
The detective tells Laura about Isabella’s accusation of her setting everything up and asks her to come to the station to compare her and Isabella’s testimonies.
Nattie tells Conan how Hercules almost told Silvia about her father, Conan hopes he won’t try it again. Silvia pushes Alex away when he tries to kiss her again; much to his frustration. She admits she loves him but not the way she used to and can never trust him again.
Antonia cello tapes the torn telegram and reads it. Whoever it is wrote to say he was now a free man and will be coming to see Laura once he’s able to get money.
Silvia receives Lorenzo again and asks him if Isabella’s situation will disturb their partnership and if he felt she was innocent. Lorenzo assured her all would soon be well. Isabella is furious to see Laura, who is really pleased to see her in the cell, taunting Isabella with the knowledge that it won’t be her first time in jail.

SNIPPET: ISABELLA'S ARREST

Isabella begins to bluster that it was impossible and all a mistake but the detective said lab results don’t lie, she had handled Laura’s pills and was now charging her with attempted murder and was under arrest. Isabella gets more and more worked up and asks him to give her time to put on some clothes. ‘I don’t need this in my life, not now!’ she moans as she dials Gloria, telling her she was in serious trouble and cannot locate her lawyer. (You don’t need it, why did you do it?)
Hercules almost tells Silvia about her father but changes his mind and talks about the wedding instead. Mimi tells Conan and Lysette about the coordinator, who seemed to be hitting on Tony. Laura receives another telegram from Venezuela. She angrily tears it up.
Lorenzo gets there and finds a handcuffed Isabella being escorted to a police car. She loudly protests she was innocent and blaming Laura for playing another trick on her. A news camera films the whole thing.
Gloria tells Orlando about Isabella’s arrest, which horrifies him- the company would be ruined if she was sentenced.
Nattie and Silvia go over the contract from Estephano. Silvia tells Nattie how Hercules acted weird earlier on and get a shock at Alex’s news- Isabella’s arrest which he’d heard on the radio. Nattie called her replacement, Erica to confirm the information.
Lorenzo asks Laura if she had accused Isabella of switching her drugs but she denies it; she had merely mentioned Isabella when the police had asked her who would want to kill her. Lorenzo asked her if the personal thing between them will ever end at all! He is worried how the company would be affected if she is arrested.
Mimi is cross with Tony for calling her ‘skinny’ and saying she was jealous of that woman they had met.
Isabella gives the same excuses about how her fingerprints were on the bottle but unable to give explanation about how they got inside the bottle when the cop asks her. He also asks her why she’d bought the same pills Laura had to use, but she shouts at him, she’s not a murderer and demanded to be allowed to go. He showed her the evidence, she had bought the pills, using her credit card- the crumpled receipt in his hand. She is silent at first then says it had been bought on her doctor’s prescription and Laura was telling lies against her because she hated her and was envious of her, but the cop doesn’t believe it, all the evidence pointed to her. Isabella warns him she could destroy his career as she was a powerful woman with a lot of influential friends, but her threats do not alarm him at all.
Nattie and Silvia worry about how their business would suffer if Isabella is arrested, Alex goes out to obtain more information. Orlando and Lorenzo worry about the same thing. Lorenzo decides to find out more before they call Estephano. Orlando does not believe Isabella is innocent, Lorenzo himself has his own doubts.
Lysette is told by a friend over the phone about Isabella’s arrest and she in turn tells Conan, who isn’t completely surprised on hearing the charge, knowing fully well Laura and Isabella hated each other and how Isabella had sabotaged the last fashion show(she had paid some boys to moisten the catwalk and put a slippery substance on the models’ high heels, causing all of them, including Lysette to trip over each other). Giacormo phones Conan to check what’s going on; Conan tells him about the arrest.
Alex tells his mother, Mimi and Tony about Isabella’s arrest. E.P is happy about it much to Mimi’s surprise, as she had wanted Alex to marry Isabella (yuck!).
Gloria finally gets to Isabella, who is now in a holding cell and very, very angry. Bad news, her lawyer has gone overseas for a conference and won’t be back for a week. Gloria asks her seriously if she’d really tried to kill Laura but Isabella loudly denied it. She suddenly has an idea, she uses Gloria’s cell phone to call Laura.

SNIPPET: ISABELLA IS NOW IN BIG TROUBLE!

Alex tells his mother about Lorenzo’s project and urges her not to agree with Silvia about it but E.P is overjoyed about it, they will make big money from such an opportunity. Alex begs her to say no when Silvia phones to inform her about it but she ignores him, full of enthusiasm.
The receptionist tells Mimi and Tony the competition has closed but noticing the woman in charge is nearby, raps on the spot and it impresses her very much (Frankly, I think Mimi sucks) and accepts their entry after all.
Lorenzo warns Isabella not to bother Silvia in any way, Isabella accuses him of threatening her. Silvia comes in and isn’t pleased to run into Evil Isabella again, but she insisted she stayed to hear what she had to say. Lorenzo is pleased that she and the other entrepreneurs have agreed to the proposal. Isabella insincerely praises Silvia’s work and leaves them alone.
Silvia asked him why he was still working with that awful woman after everything she’d done to them. Lorenzo admits he had wanted to dissolve their partnership but for now, he couldn’t because of the foreign clients she’d brought in, assuring Silvia he no longer trusted Isabella. Silvia said she’ll wait for him to call her about the contracts, he thanks her. They regard each other longingly again, but Silvia leaves him sadly.
Tony’s video is played (Mimi’s ridiculous rap again, yuck!) to the co-coordinator who is really impressed and promises to broadcast it on T.V, offering an editing job to Tony but Mimi reminds him he still has to watch the boutique.
Laura asks Lorenzo about the mortgage but he tells her not to worry about it, she’s concerned he hadn’t told her about it. He also tells her about the project and Silvia’s role.
Silvia assures E.P they’ll make good money on the project, trying to take credit for Silvia’s talent. She informs the girls the wedding will hold at the gym. The detective returns to the office with a warrant for Isabella’s arrest, but Erica tells him she’s out.
Lorenzo is told by Erica about the cop’s visit and was on his way to her hotel to arrest her. Laura is pleased! After Lorenzo leaves, Laura phones a journalist and gives her Isabella’s address.
Mimi and Tony find Conan and Lysette in a cuddling mood and give them their good news. Orlando is pleased to see a sulky Nattie who comes to pick up the contracts for Silvia. Hercules enters Silvia’s office, half deciding to tell her his secret. Nattie turns down Orlando’s offer of lunch, wanting to keep it professional but Orlando gets too personal and she gets very cross and wants to leave, but he insincerely apologizes and promises to behave.
The detective gets to Isabella with the warrant, but she demands to know what proof he had against her. He replied, her fingerprints have been found all over Laura’s medicine bottle. She insisted she was a close friend of the family who visited often, her fingerprints would be all over the place. The detective however added that her prints were found inside the bottle as well. Isabella ordered him to leave, he didn’t have conclusive evidence since he hadn’t taken her fingerprints. But the detective informs her that the police did have her prints on record; they were recorded on the day she was arrested for prostitution some years back.
An extremely stupid look(like the one she wore when Lorenzo confronted her about the doctored photos) came on Isabella’s face…

SNIPPET: HERCULES' SECRET

Silvia is shocked at Lorenzo’s news but he reminded her it was what she had wanted. She painfully agreed, congratulated him and listened to his proposal about her and other small clothing factories she knew in the area subcontracting the order he’d been given, he didn’t have enough labour and she would be well paid. Silvia liked the sound of it, especially as she would be co-coordinating the whole operation.
After a lot of pressure, Hercules finally admitted that the letter had been written and sent by Silvia’s father. He had known him because he’d been the one who introduced him to Silvia’s momsie in the first place. He had denied it because he wanted to protect Silvia from her father; the man had fled Mexico because he had been involved in illicit dealings and went to live in Venezuela and dealt in precious stones. He had no idea what he was doing with his own now. Nattie and Conan asked why he had lied, and he told them that on her death bed, Mechita had made him swear an oath he’ll always look after Silvia and must never tell her about her father, not ever. But Nattie doesn’t agree, Silvia is unhappy because she doesn’t know who her father is, his name or how he even looks like. But Hercules insists it was better if Silvia remained ignorant of the whole thing and was determined to keep his promise to Mechita.
Gloria gives Orlando the documents sent by the bank, he remarks Laura won’t be pleased to hear the house is to be mortgaged before asking her why she had asked him that strange question the other day- Gloria told him about the cop that came to see Isabella.
Silvia told Lorenzo she’ll have to talk to E.P and consult other people in the area, to see if they would be willing to take on the project; Lorenzo asked her to give him feedback as soon as possible. Silvia looks uncomfortable when he talks over the phone with Laura, wanted to know if he’ll be home for lunch. As he’s reluctantly about to take his leave, he obviously wants to kiss her but she sits down, preventing him.
Nattie doesn’t agree about keeping such an important secret from Silvia but Conan insists it was their duty to keep their promise they’d made to their father. Alex comes up wanting to know what they were talking about, but was coldly told to mind his own business.
Mimi persuades Tony to submit his video clip to the competition she’d heard about on the radio. Gloria gives the bank documents to Laura to sign, which surprises her as Lorenzo never said a word about it.
Nattie is told by Silvia about Lorenzo’s reconciliation with Laura. Silvia notices her cousin didn’t seem surprised by the news, She admitted Orlando had told her. Silvia admits it hurt and shocked her; she now regretted she had made Lorenzo go back to Laura. Changing the subject, she also told Nattie about the business proposal, which Alex overhears but feels E.P wouldn’t go for it and tries to discourage her.(he doesn’t her and Lorenzo make eyes at each other again!)
Isabella is furious to hear from Lorenzo that he’d chosen Silvia to do the job. She immediately starts bad mouthing her but Lorenzo defends his ex-girlfriend and angrily orders her to keep her opinions to herself, what he says goes and he was still CEO of the company. Isabella insolently assumes Silvia must have been so happy but when he tells her Silvia is thinking about it, says the ‘little vixen’ was playing hard to get. Lorenzo tells her to leave his office.
Laura talks to her doctor and calls the inspector to tell him she had a vital contribution to make in the case.
Silvia has good news; the other entrepreneurs are enthusiastic about the project. But she asked Nattie to be the go-between as it’s hard for her to be around Lorenzo. Nattie reluctantly agrees as she doesn’t want to cope with Orlando and Horse-face Gloria again.

SNIPPET: ANOTHER SHOCK FOR POOR SILVIA!

Silvia tells her uncle that she’d overheard something Conan and Nattie had said relating to him and her father, but Hercules insist he knew nothing about him, her mother never liked talking about him, her cousins were taking rubbish. Silvia is horrified to see it was E.P’s picture he was hanging up. Laura thanked horsy Gloria for her help that fateful day and ask if the police arrested Isabella. When Gloria says no in a surprised tone, Laura pretended she was joking. Mimi told Conan that she’d made up with Tony, but does not know she’s happy, she only knew she owed it to their baby to give him a second chance. Lorenzo asks Isabella why a policeman came to the office, she lies it was about Giacormo’s case which has reopened. She gives him the fax containing the agreement between them and Estephano. E.P models the restored dress for Alex, still planning on exercising and going on a diet (a daft idea to wear the dress she’d worn when she married Alex and Mimi’s father for her second wedding). She’s annoyed Silvia treats the workers ‘too nicely’. Tony visits Laura, with a message from Giacormo and asks her to come back to the boutique when she’s better, as he feels he could do better without Conan. Lorenzo decides to ask Silvia for her help, but Orlando doesn’t feel it’s a good idea since she doesn’t know he and Laura were back together. Orlando is annoyed when Gloria still hesitates to give him Estephano’s web address; she surprises him with a sudden question, did he think Isabella was capable of killing anyone?
Nattie is furious to see E.P’s framed photo on the living room wall, Conan is merely amused. Nattie wishes she could save their father from that woman, but Conan reminds her that you don’t choose who you fall in love with, did she choose Orlando? Changing the subject, he tells her about Mimi and tony; they’ve both matured although he still didn’t like Tony.
Hercules ask his kids why they put ideas in Silvia’s head, they had actually told her he knew her father after he’d already told her a long time ago that he did not. Nattie however said Silvia had heard part of a conversation between her and Conan but they had cleared it up; in turn she reminded him about a letter she’d found in his drawers when she was a little girl. He had told her them it had been a letter from Mexico from a friend who was in love with his sister, Silvia’s mother, Mechita. That man was Silvia’s father. Hercules was silent, he couldn’t deny it.
Laura assures Tony that once she’s cleared by her doctor, she’ll help him and Conan at the boutique (more like harass Conan since she never liked him); much to his relief since he doesn’t know much about the business and he and Conan don’t really get along. Laura also asked about Mimi and her pregnancy, sending her regards.
Silvia receives a surprise visitor, Lorenzo and is about to tell him again she can’t continue their affair. But he assures her it wasn’t like that, he only came about a business proposition and to tell her, before she heard it from anyone else, that he and Laura had reconciled. Silvia’s face is stunned (you asked for it, you silly girl).

SNIPPET: MISMATCHED COUPLES

The police handling Laura’s case pays a visit to Isabella; telling her of what she’s accused of and asks her to come to the station to have her fingerprints taken. But she insists she’s an old friend of the family who visits the house often, there was no evidence against her, and she was a respectable businessman who has never had a problem with the law. The detective promises to return with a warrant since she refuses to have her prints taken. After he leaves, she drops the jaunty attitude and looks worried. Horsy Gloria asks her who it was, but Isabella told her to forget about it. Alex gives his mum’s wedding dress to Nattie, asking her to repair it, since she had torn it after forcing herself into it. Nattie is still disgusted at the idea of E.P marrying Hercules but Alex doesn’t seem to mind the idea. Nattie is shocked to find out from him that Lorenzo and Laura were back together again, forbidding him to tell Silvia after he said it was the best thing for her as she’ll finally forget Lorenzo and go back to him. Lorenzo urges Laura to eat; Laura asks him if he was still in love with Silvia and whether they’d broken up at her bedside, as she didn’t want anything to interfere with their ‘happiness’. Lorenzo informs her they’d broken up a long time ago. Laura wants to organize a reunion party but Lorenzo is not enthusiastic about it and leaves the room again, to her frustration. Gloria warns Isabella that the only thing she’ll never support her with is committing murder, but Isabella arrogantly tells her she was not a murderer, that the detective was merely someone sent by Laura to harass her. Mimi visits Tony at the boutique; she’d been doing some thinking and decided to give him another chance, which he’s happy about it. They hug but Mimi’s face has an expression of doubt.
Silvia asks Hercules if he really didn’t know anything about her popsie, making him hit his finger with the hammer he was using. Nattie meets with Orlando to confirm what Alex had told her; refusing to stay and have lunch with him when he asks her. When she leaves, he’s full of confidence she’ll come back to him, since she preferred to ask him in person
