Tonio gets a shock

Chucho defends Meche, insisting her friend Julia had approached her in the first place.  Tonio is tired of the lies and demands that Meche tell him the whole truth, or he will turn her over to the police.

Martha was surprised when Raquel told her she wasn’t going to tell Tonio about their baby, and she must not tell their father either. Too late, because Daniel came in and expressed his joy over her pregnancy, the doctor had told him downstairs, and unfortunately, Evil Max was there. Martha wasn’t pleased that Raquel wasn’t going to use this development to either get Tonio back or a huge settlement from him.

Evil Max buys food for Raquel and makes her eat it. However, she makes it clear to him that nothing was going to come out of it; she’d stopped loving him a long time ago. Max, still bent on breaking up Tonio and Raquel for good, tells her Tonio hired Roberto Aguirre to harm her, to find an excuse to divorce her. When Raquel accuses him of lying to her again, he says he was going to present her with proof.

Maura comes to the house and persuades Tonio to go out with her to a bar, where he paid her little attention.

At Meche’s house, over their simple dinner,  Meche told Chucho that Roberto Aguirre was at the mansion and had threatened her life and her brother’s, much to his amazement. How could he be at Tonio's house? Meche baffled him more when she told him she had also seen him at Raquel's hotel and was introduced as Max Albeniz. Roberto and Max were the same man! Meche is horrified to learn that Max was Tonio's stepbrother. However, she was far too scared to tell Raquel and Tonio the truth, not with his threats. Chucho asked her to find out how Julia came to be acquainted with him in the first place.

Raquel and the family discuss the next line of action: going home. Daniel said the last time he’d paid the rent was before he left Guadalajara with Raquel and Tonio, so at least they’ll still have the apartment, and Raquel was sure her boss, who’s always been kind to her, would give her old job back. Only Martha is pissed off at the whole thing, but Raquel wasn't going to let Tonio take her child from her and refused to remain married to a man who didn't trust her. Martha suggested they use the Lombardo name to get jobs, but Raquel refuses to use a name they have no right to use.  Their experience may have been a fun vacation for her and their father, while she is pregnant and about to be divorced.

Breakfast at the mansion, Tonio and Andres discuss Alejandra's shady car racer boyfriend she refuses to dump. Tonio remarked that love made a person blind, like he was with Raquel. He suggested that Andres offer the man money if he can't convince Alejandra to forget about him.

Alejandra went out, accompanied by Chucho, to see Raquel.

Raquel tells the doctor she understands what he's telling her, but she has to work soon. The doctor pointed out that her health wasn't so good; if she stressed herself with a job, she could lose the baby or her own life.

Tonio tells Ramon that one of his cheque books was missing, and Ramon promised to check with the servants.

Meche asks Julia how she had met Roberto Aguirre in the first place, and Julia tells her, her husband (the man who had pretended to be knocked down by Martha) had done some work for him, but didn't know what. Julia needed to find him; she wanted her money he had promised.

Alejandra and Chucho are told by Martha at the hotel that Raquel was pregnant and had gone to the doctor's. Max met with Julia to discuss her balance and asked her to do him one more favour.

Raquel is very pleased to see Alejandra again. Alejandra again brings up Raphael, whom she's still anxious to marry. Raquel points out she hardly knows him, hence her opinion in the matter does not hold weight. Alejandra pleads with her; she had no one else to help her. She also reminded Raquel that despite the allegations against her, she always believed in her innocence. And people were wrong about Raphael, the same way. Was she not her friend then? Raquel affirmed it and advised her to convince her parents of Raphael's sincerity if he's really the one for her. Alejandra proposed that she stay with Raquel until the wedding was settled. She was old school enough to not want to live with her boyfriend until they were man and wife. Raquel is not certain Alejandra's parents would approve of that, but her young friend is optimistic, as she is still Tonio's wife. Raquel tells her of her impending return to Guadalajara, but Alejandra is undaunted; she will go with her.

Alejandra is surprised when Max enters the room briefly, but believes Raquel after she says it wasn't what it looked like. Chucho and Daniel, meanwhile, go for a drink.

Max brings Julia to Raquel, along with a check supposedly signed by Tonio, paying Roberto Aguirre to help lie about Martha being the one who ran Gabriel down, as an excuse to divorce Raquel.

Raquel couldn't believe Tonio would do such a thing to her, but Julia, egged on by Max, insisted it was true.  On getting back to the house, Alejandra called her father in Miami and asked him to wire a huge sum of money to her as soon as possible; she wanted to buy a whole new wardrobe. Not true, the money was actually for Raquel because Raquel had told her she was still waiting for Humberto to come home and assist her. Andres overheard her phone conversation.

Ramón complained to Tonio that Chucho was constantly going out and neglecting his duties, and he'd just returned, rather drunk. Tonio broke up a fight between him and Ramon and summoned him to the living room to straighten the matter out. Chucho explained that Alejandra had asked him to escort her to see Raquel.

Tonio lied that Alejandra had already told him; he wanted to hear his own version, or he would fire him.  Chucho then told him and Andres that Mrs Raquel looked very pale and ill; they had met her just returning from the doctor’s. Concerned, Tonio asked what was wrong with her. Chucho thought Alejandra had told him so, with a shrug, he said, ‘Well... a child...’

Tonio is shocked. 'Raquel, is pregnant?' he asked.
Chucho nodded. Andres looked at his friend's stunned face.
What would Tonio do now? Raquel was carrying his child, and he's already asked her for a divorce!!!

An unexpected development... VERY UNEXPECTED!

Terrified, Meche tells Max what Tonio and Raquel wanted from her. Max darkly warned her he would have her and her brother killed if she dared open her mouth to Tonio about the identity of Roberto Aguirre.

While Tonio is talking with  Victoria, still very angry about Raquel and Max, Chucho knocks on the door to inform him that Meche is waiting to see him.

Frightened by Max, Meche is very evasive when Tonio questions her in his study. He asked why Raquel was in her house, and Meche told him Raquel needed her help to find Roberto Aguirre. Tonio asked her how Roberto Aguirre knew about Martha's accident.  She claimed she met Roberto Aguirre at a bar, and when he heard about her brother's issue, he came up with the plan to pretend Martha had caused his accident.  She pleaded for Tonio's forgiveness,   insisting Gabriel disapproved of the plan the whole time.

Considering the number of times Tonio has been lied to and taken advantage of, I would call this a case of Meche pushing her luck and trying his patience!

Tonio, however, found out something important: that Raquel had just learnt of the farce the day he'd confronted her.  When Tonio asks her about Julia's involvement,  she lies that she wasn't involved. Tonio informed her that Julia had called Roberto Aguirre to ask for the rest of her money, to her horror. Now she had to ask Julia for Aguirre's address.

Victoria and Claudio are amazed to hear from Andres that the prank caller, Roberto Aguirre, had paid Meche to lie about Martha causing Gabrielle's accident.

Daniel and Martha find Raquel lying down and looking even paler; Raquel is anxious for her plan to work and go back to Guadalajara. Daniel tells Martha about Raquel's suspicions about Max being Roberto.

After Meche leaves, Alejandra asks Chucho to take her to see Raquel.

Max is concerned that Raquel is ill, urging them to get a doctor. He is horrified when Meche enters the room. Raquel introduced them both, watching their faces. After he left, Meche said that Max wasn't Roberto Aguirre. Raquel is very disappointed.

Chucho tells Tonio Raquel had called his office the day she left to inform him about the scam, confirming further that Raquel didn't know about the matter or that Roberto Aguirre had hired Meche.

A doctor is summoned, and he examines Raquel thoroughly, giving her some medication to take and advising her to rest. Martha asks for the diagnosis. Raquel said, high blood pressure and also... she's pregnant. Martha gasped, 'My God...'

Raquel nodded. 'This time I'm sure.'

 What happens next???

Tonio asks Raquel for a divorce

Ramon is surprised when Raquel hangs up all of a sudden. Vicky asked him what Raquel wanted and was outraged to hear she'd asked for Max's address. Evil Max urged Raquel to let him help her out financially, even if she was angry with him. Raquel flatly turned him down, preferring to wait for Humberto. However, to carry out her trap, she asked him to meet her at a nearby bar for drinks later. Max was very pleased, thinking things were heading his way at last (yeah, SURE...)
Vicky angrily told Camilla what Raquel had asked for, wondering how she had the nerve to ask for it. While Tonio is still discussing the divorce and possible financial settlement, Camilla calls to tell and tells Raquel's call.  Tonio was silent, but his expression said it all.

Daniel feels Raquel is wasting her time and they should just go home instead, but Raquel is adamant about clearing her name with Tonio first. She was going to prove that Max was Roberto Aguirre.
There's a knock on the door; it's Rodrigo, he wanted to see how she was and take her out, but she claimed tiredness. Max interrupted their conversation and jealously asked her what Rod wanted.

Raquel went back to the hospital and obtained Meche's address from Gabriel. Max, angry that Raquel refused to let him help her, spitefully told Oscar that Raquel was planning on asking Humberto for money. Raquel got to Meche's house and told her of the plan. Max was going to meet with her that evening, and Meche would hide at the back and get a good look at him. They are suddenly interrupted by Tonio, who dragged Raquel out with him for a private talk, to Meche's distress. Tonio tells her to come to the house that evening.

Rod confabs with Claudio on his plan to frame Raquel for Tonio's murder. Claudio is uncomfortable with the idea, and Rod warns him of the consequences if he tries to double-cross him by telling anyone.

Oscar calls Humberto to delay his return to Acapulco by asking to handle some business.

Back at the hotel, Tonio and Raquel have another fight. He demanded to know what she was doing at Meche's house, and she told him it wasn't his business; he couldn't order her around. Tonio felt they could reach an amicable arrangement if she told him the truth; she wouldn't go to jail if so.  Raquel, who doesn't seem to understand that lying to Tonio and keeping things from him caused his distrust, is immediately defensive. What she told him about Max's plot from the beginning WAS the truth. But Tonio simply wanted to force her to say what he wanted to hear, that she was Max's accomplice the whole time and she'd been sleeping with him, or that Roberto Aguirre was her other lover. None of it was true.

To make matters worse, Daniel comes in and drunkenly asks if Max is around, then leaves.  Furious, Tonio accuses Raquel of still cheating on him with Max. Why else did she call the house to obtain his number?  Raquel is tired of arguing with him- he can believe whatever he chooses and do what he chooses.

Tonio said he had started divorce proceedings, and she wouldn't get anything from him. Raquel proudly said she was prepared to sign the divorce papers; she didn't want a dime of his money and ordered him out of her room.

Later, Raquel called Humberto's place again, but the house staff told her he was still not back. Daniel and Martha are alarmed when Raquel suddenly goes pale and collapses, stressed out from her fight with Tonio and weak from malnutrition.

Maura gleefully tells Carla that Tonio and Raquel are getting a divorce.

Daniel and Martha got Raquel into bed; Martha said Raquel looked frail and very pale- she hadn't been eating. They try to get her to go out to dinner, but Raquel opts to rest instead.

Tonio angrily gets back to the mansion and tells Vicky he and Raquel are definitely over; the divorce is now in motion. Max suddenly enters the living room, and it is the last straw; Tonio orders him to get out of his house! Vicky is very distressed as Max walks out.

Meche is on her way to the house to tell Tonio the whole story and what Raquel was planning, in the hope it would bring the couple back together.

Oh, dear... Max saw her and roughly dragged her to a dark corner, demanding to know why she was there.

Raquel's new mission

Raquel's first line of action was to clear her name before she went back to Guadalajara, which meant finding out who Roberto Aguirre was. At their hotel, Raquel gives Daniel and Martha money to get a meal, reminding them to be prudent with spending, and refusing Martha's offer to buy her something. Back at the mansion, Tonio tells Ramon he didn't want dinner, and no one should disturb him for anything. However, if Martha called, she should be put through. Ramon asked if Raquel had called, too, and after hesitating, Tonio said she should be put through as well. You're still in love with her, Tonio.  Ramon tells Meche that Tonio couldn't see her.

Martha is furious that she went to jail for an accident that didn't happen. Daniel (silly old man) made excuses for Meche and Gabriel. Martha phones Luis and tells him to meet her at the diner they are in.

Raquel visits Gabriel at the hospital, who tells her he told Tonio the truth, assuming she already knew about it. He's very sad and guilty when Raquel tells him she and her husband fought over it, and she left him. She asks for Meche and is surprised to hear she went to see Tonio.

Meche and Chucho enter the room, and the latter is overjoyed to see her; he'd assumed she and her family had already returned to Guadalajara. Meche said she waited ages for Tonio but was later told he didn't want to be disturbed.  Raquel needed their help to clear her name before heading back to Guadalajara for good; she needed to find Roberto.

Martha and Daniel have lunch with Luis, and she tells him about Tonio and Raquel's falling out. Luis offered to help them out with some money he had just come into. Hmmm

Raquel asked them to describe 'Roberto Aguirre', and Meche's description fitted Max. Raquel strongly believed Max had been posing as Roberto Aguirre. Chucho agreed, which was probably why any time she was to meet with Roberto, only Gato showed up each time.

Andres finds  Tonio lying on the empty bed (how come after Raquel moved out, you now choose to sleep there???) and points out that since Raquel didn't take his money or her designer clothes, she was not the opportunist Tonio believed her to be; therefore, he made a mistake, letting her go. Tonio did not know what to think.

Raquel isn’t pleased to find Martha talking to Luis at the hotel lobby on getting back. Luis salutes her, but she gives him an icy reply.

Upstairs in their room, Raquel scolded Martha for still hanging out with Max’s thug, who’d gotten her into serious trouble; probably because of what he could give her, ill-gotten money. Martha coldly told Raquel she had no control over her life; she would see whoever and whenever, and she wasn’t planning on going back to Guadalajara. She left the room, spitefully urging Raquel to eat the sandwich she’d brought for her, as she hadn’t eaten all day. Later, Meche paid Raquel a visit and promised to help her; it was the least she could do.

At the office, Tonio consulted his lawyer about starting the proceedings and how to avoid paying a huge sum of alimony to Raquel. (I HATE you, Tonio)

Raquel called the house, and Ramon answered it, very pleased to hear her voice. She asked for Max's address, and before Ramon could reply, Evil Max walked into the lobby saying, 'I finally find you!' (Luis's handiwork)

Stunned, she hung up...

Not knowing who you had until she's gone

Tonio came out, looking miserable. Mummy Vicky told him Raquel didn't take the tickets, and she and Daniel left with Rod. Refusing to answer, Tonio instead went upstairs to the room he used to share with Raquel.  Andres tells Vicky the reason why Tonio and Raquel quarrelled.

True enough, on opening the closets, all of Raquel's designer clothes, shoes and accessories were still there.  The realisation that his wife has really left him finally sank in, and he buried his face in his hands, upset. Ramon entered, and Tonio asked why all her clothes were still there. Ramon said the bags she took were the ones she and Martha had when they arrived. Tonio reminded him that he had told him over the phone that Raquel took the money. Ramon said she did, but refused to take the tickets.
What's the point of asking him that... you FOUND the money on your desk, she took it but didn't LEAVE with it!

Ramon also told him she had refused to allow any of the drivers to take them to the airport, but instead went outside to wait for Martha. He had taken their bags to the gate for them.
At Rod's place, over coffee (or tea, whatever), Raquel refused Rod's offer to stay at his place. A furious Martha arrives with Claudio.

Maura and Camilla are obviously very happy, although they tried to hide it, while Alejandra and Andres looked sad.  Tonio asked Camilla if she saw Rod when he came, but she said she didn't. Vicky followed him to the study to ask what really happened and his next line of action. Alejandra insists Raquel is innocent. Max arrives and immediately goes to see Vicky. Chucho and Meche are shocked to hear from Ramon that Raquel and her family have moved out.

Meanwhile, Martha complained about the small hotel they checked into, declaring it was even worse than their apartment in Guadalajara. Raquel, looking very tired, had more worries in her mind; finding a way to clear her name and managing until Humberto came back so that he could assist her, as she'd refused to take the money and tickets Tonio had left for her. Martha felt her sister was full of stupid pride. Raquel felt she was able to retain the last shred of her dignity. Yes o.

Max was still in the house, and Vicky told him Tonio and Raquel were now separated... of course, the bastard was happy about it, and started planning on how to find her and get her back to his side (in your dreams, THUG!) Max made a phone call on his way out to Rod, asking where he dropped Raquel and her family, Tonio watching him from a corner.

Rodrigo had deliberately not assisted Raquel financially as he'd decided on a new plan with Max: to kill Tonio and frame Raquel for the crime. He wanted to keep her in Acapulco for the plan to work. He asked Claudio to be a part of it, as the reward would be great.  Claudio asked for time to think about it.

The beginning of the end

Tonio accused Camilla of helping to set Raquel up; Raquel had told him she hadn't noticed her earring was missing, as she hardly wore the particular pair, which meant someone must have taken them from her jewellery box. Camilla was furious that he chose to believe his 'lying wife' over her. (BITCH!!!)

Raquel, at this point, came downstairs, wondering what they were talking about, catching only half of the discussion. She got annoyed at Camilla's persistence and turned to Tonio for support, but he only glared at her, not helping at all. Later on, Camilla phones Max about their progress, and Claudio warns her to stop with the intrigues; it won't get them anywhere, but Camilla was determined to cause a divorce.

Raquel is told about the farce, but Daniel and Chucho begged her not to tell Tonio. She, however, was not prepared to lie to her husband again, especially since it would mean a reconciliation- so, despite impassioned begging from the two men, she phoned the office but was told Tonio had stepped out. Daniel pleaded on Meche and Gabriel's behalf. True, Tonio was tricked into paying for the operation, but it was a small amount compared to the wealth he possessed. Raquel was adamant, her husband WILL know of this; that way, their lives would be back to normal, and they could start over, NO MORE LIES. Chucho and Daniel looked at each other in despair.
Tonio went to Meche's house but found a neighbour instead, sweeping. He introduced himself as a friend, and the neighbour praised him for helping Gabriel out. It was a terrible thing, being hit by a bus.
P.S.: In the English dubbed version, the neighbour said 'bus', in the original Spanish version, it was 'truck'.

Moving on...

Tonio was startled. How could it have been a bus?! A car had hit Gabriel.

No, said the neighbour, surprised. It was a bus, some months ago. Tonio's face turned into a mask of fury.
Tonio later went to the hospital to confront a very frightened Gabriel, saying he was going to jail as soon as he was discharged. He now knew it wasn't Martha who caused his accident, but a bus. Who told him and his sister to lie?

Trembling, Gabriel said it was a man called Roberto Aguirre. Tonio's face darkened further. Roberto  Aguirre again.  'Are you sure?' he asked.

Gabriel said yes, that Aguirre paid Meche to make the report.

How did Aguirre know about Martha's accident?

Gabriel said he didn't know; only Meche knew, and he didn't know where she was. She stepped out. He pleaded with Tonio; their deception was out of necessity. Aguirre had assured Meche that no one would get hurt. Tonio questioned him further, and Gabriel said he's never met Aguirre and that Chucho and Daniel knew about the deception, Raquel too. Tonio is shocked. Raquel knew, too? Did she also know that Aguirre was the one who paid them to lie, and Gabriel said yes, Meche told him. The stupid idiot  (Meche) thought she now knew, because Daniel said he was going to tell her.

Tonio, remembering Julia's call to Aguirre asking for the rest of her money, demanded to know who Julia was and if she was the one who came up with the scheme. Gabriel said she was Meche's friend but didn't know her part in the scheme. Tonio should talk to Meche. Tearfully, he swore he never wanted to be part of the whole thing.

Tonio coldly told him to inform Meche to come to the mansion and explain herself, and then he would decide on both their fates. They must not even think about leaving town.

At the mansion, Andres asks Alejandra, who is jamming to some music on her headphones in the living room, if she's seen Martha that day. Alejandra teases him over his interest in her, which makes him smile.

Eww, Andres, you can do better than that materialistic skank.

Alejandra reminds him that Camilla, Maura and Carla hate Raquel and Martha. Andres pointed out that those three bitches were capable of inventing lies and intrigue to hurt Raquel, which Alejandra agreed with.

Andres is surprised that Alejandra agreed with him so swiftly, since she has been hanging out with them. Alejandra felt they were that way because they were envious of Raquel; they were always dissing her.  Speaking of which, did he know who Roberto Aguirre was? Carla kept asking her about him.
Andres said it was someone who kept making prank calls to the house, asking for Raquel. Alejandra told him he had called the house recently, and hung up, and Carla seemed very interested and curious about him. Andres felt his BF was in the middle of a very weird scenario, but did not confide in Alejandra. Instead, the subject moves to Alejandra's questionable boyfriend, and Alejandra gets angry; he was still a bone of contention between them. She loves the man, but Andres, like her parents, knows the truth about him.

Martha meets with Luis at a restaurant. Fool. She tells him Tonio finally bounced Max out of the house, and Vicky hasn't been well.

Max turned up at the house, accompanied by Alejandra's boyfriend, Raphael. She flew at him joyfully while Max went upstairs to Tonio and Raquel's room, where she was reading, or trying to read a book.

She's furious to see Max,  accusing him of making Camilla tell lies about her and setting her up using her missing earring. As usual, he denied it, and she left the room in disgust when he refused to.
A big mistake, because Max opened a drawer and slipped a cheque book into his pocket.

Downstairs, Alejandra begs Raquel to talk to Tonio and Andres on her behalf, concerning the young man she wants to marry. Watching Max leave in silence, Raquel feels she's not qualified to give her opinion on the matter, but Alejandra is certain she could influence Tonio and Andres all the same; her parents respected them both. Raphael assured her he and Alejandra would not force her to do anything she's uncomfortable with.

Andres suddenly enters and, with harsh words, sends Raphael away. Alejandra flees in tears, and Raquel is deeply distressed at the violent scene. Andres angrily tells Raquel what sort of man Raphael really was: he slept with rich women, and he was only after Alejandra for her money. She should NOT take Alejandra's side. Raquel sadly felt her young friend's situation was almost like hers, but at least she had Raphael; she wished she still had Tonio's assurance.

Then she got her own dose when her husband came in and called her the worst type of liar!

Raquel and Andres looked at him, shocked at his harsh words. Raquel, of course, had no idea what he was talking about. Tonio accused her of knowing all along that Gabriel was not the victim of Martha's accident after all and of Roberto Aguirre's involvement in the scam.

Before Raquel could explain herself or ask him to explain his very weird statement,  Daniel walked in. Disgusted with Daniel for deliberately keeping quiet about Gabriel and Meche, Tonio is very rude to him, saying he thought he had some decency in spite of his flaws.

Raquel angrily turned on Tonio; he had no right to speak to her father in such a manner, no matter what he’d done. Timidly, Daniel points out that Tonio's anger was justified, no thanks to what they kept from him about Meche and Gabriel. Tonio confronted Raquel. Did she or didn't she know about their lie?  She said she did (not bothering to add she JUST found out), but that she had been waiting the whole time for him to come home so she could tell him. Alas, Tonio was tired of hearing 'I was going to tell you' from her.

Turning to her father, Raquel demanded to know what the hell was going on and how Aguirre was involved. A confused Andres listened as Daniel explained that Aguirre paid Meche to lie, and Gabriel wasn't the actual accident victim. He kept it from Raquel because she would have told Tonio. Well duh!!!

Just what sort of father is this simple-minded old man? You put your friends before your own daughter and her husband.  He winced at the judgmental look on Andres' face.

The second round of the fight was moved to the study, which turned out to be the couple’s WORST  fight ever. Tonio refused to listen to whatever Raquel had to say. Raquel maintained she was going to tell him the moment he got home, and she didn't know about Aguirre's role in the matter. But Tonio sarcastically pointed out how she'd formed the habit of telling him things at the last moment.  Raquel said if he loved her like he said he did the previous night, he would believe her. But it seemed he didn't love or trust her. Well, Raquel, it is sort of your fault.

Very harsh, hurtful and bitter words came out, with Toino stating one can fall in love with the wrong person, like she did with Max. Very upset he would bring that up or compare her with Max, Raquel reminded him she stopped loving Max the moment he revealed his true colours that fateful night. Tonio, in turn, said that maybe true, but it didn't motivate her to tell him the whole truth until the night he forced her. That's unfair, Tonio.

Raquel accused him of being so privileged (ouch) that he couldn't understand the feelings of others or put himself in their shoes, plus acting like he didn't have flaws of his own. Her father had flaws... but still. She was tired of being treated like an erring mistress instead of a wife, tired of being in a house full of intrigues and people conspiring against her.  She's LEAVING HIM!

To our distress, the only reply Tonio gave was, ‘I don’t care, just go away.’ Antonio, YOU FOOL!!!

Raquel left the study in tears, and Andres and Daniel watched her run up the stairs. The old man retreats when Tonio comes out. Andres informed Tonio what Daniel told him, adding that he begged Raquel not to tell him, but she had stood her ground. But Tonio refused to believe that, thanks to Gabriel's stupid mix-up at the hospital, convinced that Daniel and  Raquel knew the whole time.

Tonio asked Ramón to book three plane tickets to Guadalajara, one-way tickets, to Ramón's dismay. Andres asked why, and Tonio said it was Raquel's decision to leave. Upstairs, Raquel packs her clothes, as well as Martha’s, crying her eyes out. At the restaurant, Martha talks about Gabriel with Luis, hoping he'll be better soon.

Back at the mansion, Tonio silently counts out money from the safe for Raquel, while Andres puzzles over what could have happened to the real accident victim if Gabriel wasn't the victim. And why would Daniel allow Martha to remain in jail if he knew the truth the whole time? It made no sense. Tonio felt there were too many coincidences in the matter, in particular that Daniel and Chucho knew Meche. Ramon is summoned, and Tonio hands over Raquel's money-  asshole- to him; he's to give it to her along with the plane tickets. Refusing to have dinner with Victoria, he left the house with Andres, not wanting to be present when Raquel left. Dressed to go, Raquel asked Ramon if he'd seen Martha, then remembered she had gone out.

Ramón sadly gave her the money Tonio had instructed him to give to her, explaining she was to also receive tickets to Guadalajara, and she's visibly sad that Tonio went out of his way to get her out of his life for good. Entering his study, she sat at Tonio’s desk and began writing a letter. Later, she told her very distressed father her marriage was over, and they were leaving the mansion; they would wait for Martha outside the gates. Daniel asked if Tonio had kicked her out. Raquel said she was the one who made the decision to leave. Either way, it's your fault, Daniel.

Meche is horrified when Gabriel tells her about Tonio's visit and how he demanded she come to the mansion.  Raquel placed a call to Oscar's son, Humberto, but he's not home.
Tonio called the house and asked Ramon if Raquel was still there, and if she now has the money.  Raquel bitterly listens to Ramon's reply and, after hanging up, refuses to take the plane tickets from him, instructing him to get her bag, Martha's too. She still had a little money of her own left.  Tono informs his BF that Raquel took the money, visibly angry. Andres guessed rightly that deep down Tonio hoped she wouldn't take it. Again, asshole.

Ramón escorts Raquel and Daniel to the gate as she refused to use any of the chauffeurs; he sadly says goodbye to Raquel, shaking hands with Daniel.

Rodrigo pulls up at the gate, surprised to see them there. Daniel explained that she and Tonio had a huge fight, and they were leaving. He offered to take her to his house to wait for Martha. Martha was still out with Luis.  Tonio and Andres discuss what happens next: divorce. Since their marriage by proxy is legal, Raquel is entitled to half his assets. Tonio said he will consult his lawyer. Again, asshole!
Andres said he could just declare he and Raquel didn't have an actual wedding, but the lawyer would probably question why he didn't report the marriage certificate to him to begin with.

While Raquel and Daniel wait in the car, Rod tells Claudio what happened, and he is going to use it to his advantage. In the meantime, Claudio is to bring Martha to his house.  In Rod's car, Raquel angrily brushes off Daniel's admonition of not taking the tickets from Tonio. Shut up, you troublemaking old man. Rod returns, telling them Claudio will bring Martha later.

Victoria is informed by a very sad Ramon that Mrs Raquel had moved out. She is amazed, feeling something very serious must have happened between them. No kidding.

Going downstairs, she finds Alejandra and Claudio in the living room. Alejandra felt Tonio and Raquel fought because she asked for her help with Raphael. Vicky didn't think that would cause Raquel to leave Tonio.

She's more puzzled that Raquel refused to use any of the drivers or let him call a taxi, preferring to wait outside for Martha. Claudio checks with the guards at the gate and is informed that Raquel and Daniel left with Rod.
Thinking maybe Raquel went to Max (eww!), she called his number. Evil Max is surprised at what his mother told him, including Raquel refusing the tickets and leaving with Rod. Meche arrives with Chucho and waits in the kitchen for Tonio's return.

Tonio finally returned with Andres in the evening. Wanting to be alone, Tonio doesn't answer Vicky's questions and enters the study. He soon saw that Raquel did not take the money after all. It was on his desk- on it an envelope.

In the letter, Raquel had poured out her heart, telling him he could keep the tickets, his money and the expensive outfits and jewellery he’d given her. She left with what she brought with her, except for one thing, which he took from her. She also said he greatly hurt her with his words and actions; she won't beg him to believe her, but she regretted letting him go that far with her, and he ended up being just like Max: using her and lying that he loved her; he was the deceiver. If he loved her, he would have given her the benefit of the doubt, but chose not to. She deeply loved him the whole time she was with him, but it was definitely over between them now, and she bade him goodbye.

Tonio, usually so stoical, gives in to bottled emotions- a tear rolls down his cheek to our horror, his fingers crushing the damning letter.

Andres urges Tonio to give his wife another chance

Tonio told Raquel not to answer to the invitation from Roberto this time; he and Pablo would go instead and see this man once and for all. However, Chucho overheard the conversation and remembering that Meche had told him that a Roberto Aguirre had paid her to lie asked her to accompany him to the rendezvous and see if it's the same guy. Gato showed up the two of them start hitting him as he was the man who had stolen Chucho's money at the bar. Tonio broke up the fight and Gato escaped. At the house , Chucho explained himself and Meche added that he worked at the bar she used to hang out at. Tonio ordered Pablo to investigate the man.

Later, Andres found Raquel sitting in the courtyard, looking miserable. He sat beside her and she poured out her heart to him, narrating her own side of the story- from when she'd first met Max. She loved Tonio, but might lose him thanks to all the intrigues and allegations against her.  Daniel visits Gabriel at the hospital and is dismayed to discover the farce; Meche and Chucho pleaded with him not to tell Raquel, however there was no way he could keep such a secret from his daughter- she and Tonio needed to be told.

Andres told Tonio about his talk with Raquel;  though he'd not known her long, he believed she was telling the truth and urged him not to give up on his marriage. Raquel found Tonio outside the house, smoking. She took a step towards him but then went back in. He however had seen her and went after her. He found her in the living room and kissed her. He still loved her, but deep down... couldn't trust her like he used to. Raquel sensed it and was very sad.

Raquel's battle to save her marriage

Raquel informed her husband of the call and he of course forbade her to go anywhere But  she is determined to go and see  the troublemaker for herself. Chucho insisted on going with her- for fear that the man may harm her. Victoria gets Tonio's permission for Max to be allowed to visit her; Max heard from Vicky that Tonio and Raquel are sleeping in separate rooms again. Pablo gets a call from Julia- Meche's friend who had recommended her to Max. Her husband had been the man who had pretended to be the accident victim originally, Julia had seen the ad and wanted to remind Max of the balance he still owed them! Pablo was of course, confused but had it on tape.

Chucho entered the restaurant first, but scares Gato away, not knowing he was the man waiting for Raquel. Raquel came in a few minutes later(looking fabulous in a black pants suit and silver jewelry) but of course waited in vain, she and Chucho later went back to the mansion. She told a cold Tonio that the man didn't show up then burst into frustrated tears; Tonio took her in his arms. She begged him to forgive her for lying to him, promising never to lie for anyone ever again- she loved him very much. At first it looked like Tonio was finally mellowing but them the bastard called again! Tonio went cold again and Raquel fled the study in tears. But more was to come, at Max's direction- Camilla held up Raquel's clip on earring and said she'd found it at the greenhouse while looking for plants for her house- insinuating that she and Max had been meeting there. Tonio looked daggers at his wife. Tied to a corner, Raquel phoned Humberto, asking him to meet her somewhere. Humberto is at first reluctant to get involved as a third party but  then closely listened to Raquel's story and advised her not to give up on her marriage since she loved Tonio. Tonio would soon come round, if he truly loved her he wouldn't believe her enemies over her.

On getting home, Tonio asked her where she'd been and wasn't pleased to hear that she'd confided in Humberto about a private matter. Raquel calmly said after everything that has been happening to her, she needed someone to talk to, and Humberto seemed to be an impartial type of friend. She wants to do what he advised but it's hard with Tonio acting so cold towards her and everyone against her. Tonio reminded her none of this would have happened at all if she had been honest with him and it's not like he asked for anything of this to happen, she was the one who unexpectedly came into his life. Raquel admitted she had mishandled things, but he didn't seem to want to forgive her, hence it was better to call it quits. Tonio however said he wasn't a quitter and things would get better between them if he got the truth from her.

Tonio asked her about the earring and she replied she hadn't noticed it was missing since they were not a pair she wore very often; her designer had brought them along with her dresses and accessories.

TONIO IS SUCH A PIG!!!

Raquel's eyes filled with tears when she saw that Tonio wasn't lying beside her. Meanwhile, Tonio's plan to unmask Roberto Aguirre, he asked Pablo to place an ad in the paper, 'anyone who wanted to get in touch with Roberto Aguirre, call this number...'. Whoever called would be taped- the machine set in Pablo's apartment, and his sister, Pamela, would monitor the calls.

Tonio misunderstands a conversation he has with Daniel. Daniel had hoped a child would bring  Tonio and his daughter closer, but Tonio concluded that Raquel had seduced him the previous night to deliberately get pregnant!
Later on, Raquel paid Tonio a visit at the office, and alas, it's very ugly. Tonio accused Raquel of having an ulterior motive for sleeping with him, and Raquel was angry at the way he spoke to Daniel and for cheapening the passionate night they spent.  Hurt at his insinuation and accusations,  Raquel declared she suddenly hated him and marched out of the office while Tonio yelled after her, 'I'M SICK OF YOU!'

Raquel told the chauffeur to drop her; she needed to be by herself for a while, and she would find her own way home. She went to the beach, miserably thinking about the fight with Tonio.

Maura and Rod see the ad, but he advises her not to fall for it. Tonio is very worried when the security guards inform him that the chauffeur returned without Raquel. Raquel had gone to pay a visit to Gabriel and Meche at the hospital and introduced herself as Martha's sister and Tonio's wife.  After she left, Gabriel was filled with more guilt- he found Mrs Raquel so beautiful and sweet and hated the idea of deceiving her.

The first person to call was an amazed Carla, who had made up the name in the first place. Pamela pretended to be Mr Aguirre's secretary and asked her to leave a message, but Carla hung up. The tape is later played to Tonio, who recognised her voice!

As Raquel was walking along, a man called her name. Turning round, she saw it was Oscar's son, Humberto. He is very pleased to run into her and asked her to have a drink with him- she agreed. Carla stopped by the house, and Tonio tried to make her confess, but she denied it and added fuel to the fire by saying that Roberto was Raquel's lover and Daniel had been the one to tell her! (BITCH!!!)

Meanwhile, Humberto and Raquel have a pleasant talk over coffee at a restaurant.
Tonio asked Daniel about Roberto, but of course, the old man said he didn't know what Carla was talking about. Daniel then came across the ad and showed it to Raquel when she got home. Raquel called the number, and when Pamela asked her to leave a message, she angrily said Whoever this Roberto was, he was sabotaging her marriage!

When she got to the mansion, Raquel entered Tonio's study, and he berated her for wandering off on her own. Raquel calmly replied that she had coffee with Humberto after paying Gabriel a visit, and Tonio is immediately jealous again, never mind that Humberto was a family friend. Weary, Raquel goes upstairs. Meanwhile, Rod asked Gato to call Raquel again and set up a meeting.

Reconciliation???

What happened next? Much worse for Raquel. Not only did she have to contend with Martha going to jail, but also more crank calls from the mysterious 'Roberto Aguirre'. Evil Max finally gets kicked out of the mansion by Tonio, but the bastard decides to enlist Camilla's help in ruining any chance of reconciliation between Tonio and Raquel. Tonio meets with Meche and pays for Gabriel's operation, but he keeps wondering why Meche never took her brother to the Red Cross, where it would cost nothing. Chucho heard that Martha's 'victim' was at the hospital, and he's dismayed to see that Meche was the one lying to his boss and his wife. Meche begged and begged him not to give her away; she simply wanted her brother to walk again. Raquel received more and more coldness from her husband every passing day- her only friend being Alejandra, who firmly believed she was innocent. Tonio had a sudden idea about how to unmask the Roberto who keeps calling Raquel. Sometime later, Raquel got a pleasant surprise; while with Alejandra in the living room one day, who should come in but the police chief-followed by Martha! Tonio had fought tooth and nail to get her released and not serve time in jail! Raquel hurried to find Tonio, and when she did, she expressed her gratitude by hugging him and kissing him VERY THOROUGHLY, a kiss he returned.

A small dinner party was held to celebrate Martha's return that night, and after everyone had gone to bed, Raquel led Tonio to their room, where they began kissing very passionately and ended up making love. But alas, the following morning, Tonio left Raquel and went back to the guest room. When she opened her eyes and saw he wasn't there beside her, how upset she was...

I SIMPLY DON'T UNDERSTAND BO AT ALL!

Well things have gotten much worse in this very weird scenario. Hope later phoned Bo while he was still with Carly; to inform him that her uncle, Mickey Horton(who'd acted as Carly's lawyer and was a good friend many years back) had died. Carly assured Bo as he was getting dressed that she was'nt sorry he had to go; he had obligations to his family. They hugged and they left.
Later at the Brady pub, a nurse approached Bo while he was talking to Hope to ask if he'd gotten Carly safely back to her place- as she'd been really freaked out in the elevator. Hope frowned at him, remarking how he'd taken his time in comforting Carly. I guess she must have read something on his face because Hope then blurted out, ' you slept with her, did'nt you? that's what you were doing when I called?' With that she stormed out.
Later, Carly went to the Horton house to give her condolences to Mickey's wife, Maggie and to see her daughter- who viewers now discover it's a young woman called Melanie Layton, who'd been living with Mickey and Maggie and   is engaged to be married to Bo's younger brother...well half-brother, Philip Kiriakis! Carly alas, had gotten to her bad side weeks back after she'd accidently spilled hot coffee on her, so Melanie does'nt really like her. Hope behaved completely inmaturely; she accused Carly of sleeping with her husband after killing her own- alas, Melanie was there and called Carly a very bad person! Could'nt Hope have taken such a private matter OUTSIDE?
Bo later walked in on Hope confronting Carly and she left them alone. Hope asked Bo if he now loved Carly but he replied that she, Hope, had left him first and left when she asked him to, leaving her in tears. She later cried in her father's arms( the same man long, long ago who did'nt think Bo was good enough for his daughter), saying she'd lost Bo and all because she'd waited too long. (you bet your skippy you did!)
Bo went to Carly's hotel room to find her packing her clothes; she wanted to leave Salem again, this time for good. He reminded her she was leaving her daughter behind but Carly replied that the girl hated her... and for good reason (Melanie's nothing but a brat in my opinion). Bo firmly stopped her from packing. Carly protested that she had already disrupted his life, he shushed her by covering her mouth. Holding her he said, 'I don't know what's going to happen tomorrow, the day after...but, there are two things I DO know. One, you are not responsible for what happened to my marriage. Two,' (looking at her more intently) ' I don't want you to leave.'
And sealed that statement with a kiss, which she returned.
Just what the hell is Bo Brady playing at now???
Hope now knows Bo cheated on her, but he obviously still loves Hope because on the day of the funeral he told Hope that he was sorry he'd hurt her, yet he's convinced Carly not to leave Salem again- why does he still want her around? Another viewer said it was because he did'nt want her to abandon Melanie, but if so,  why did he kiss her? Carly is a very mature, stoic woman but everyone has a breaking point, for how long will she live in this ridiculous situation- especially now that she's officially 'the other woman'? And much worse, her enemies Vivian and Victor have very sinister plans for her... and her child once she's unmasked. Carly is going to get physically and emotionally hurt and heaven knows if she'll survive this time. And as for Bo, he REALLY needs to sit down and think over what he really wants; reconcile with his wife or rekindle his old love for his ex-fiancee... Carly loves him and has already told him so and deserves to have a man who  loves her back.  I REALLY hate the whole scenario.

NOT GOOD!!!

Alright, this is what happened. After Carly's elevator scare at the hopital, Bo took her back to her room at the hotel and opened up a couple of beers. He asked her what happened and she told him how Vivian had provoked her into admitting Lawrence's murder- that she'd killed him and WOULD kill him again if she got another chance. She felt angry at the feeling of being weak but Bo firmly interrupted her; he said she was a strong, courageous and generous woman- the same Carly Manning he'd fallen in love with years ago.
Carly got up to put down her drink, saying how she'd always thought of herself as an independent person. I could'nt help but notice that Bo had followed her and was standing very close to her-just behind. Carly then turned to him and said, 'I needed you today... and you were there.'

Without a word, Bo grabbed her and there they were, kissing very thoroughly. Obviously, since that Christmas kiss, Bo had badly wanted to kiss Carly again and since there was no one around to interrupt them this time- you bet your skippy he  gave it his BEST SHOT!
Next came the making out where Bo's jacket got ripped off him. Carly then asked him a question; she asked if he'd ever thought what would have happened if Hope had'nt returned or Larry had'nt swept her off her feet(brainwashed you mean!)... Bo said, 'if we would still be together?'
She nodded.

'we're together now- that's all that matters.' and then grabbed her again for another kiss. In the middle of it all Carly suddenly pulled back- she had second thoughts. But Bo did'nt want to go out like that, he said she should'nt feel guilty. Carly pointed out what they were doing was happening so fast, she wanted to be sure HE was sure. Bo guessed correctly that she was afraid he'll later regret it. She nodded. He urged he to forget the world outside and concentrate on them both- off came the clothes and serious sex!

My opinion? VERY BAD!
This is a couple who've lost contact for 17 years. Carly returned to Bo's life during  a time he needed a friend to console him after Hope left their home along with their daughter. She needed his protection which he gave he wholeheartedly, their interraction slowly  stirred old memories and feeling. It was inevitable that Carly would fall in love with Bo again and Bo to have tender and sexual feelings for Carly but why must the DAYS writers make their physical reunion so indecent- letting them have sex when Bo is still married and STILL IN LOVE with Hope? Steamy or not, compared to the very first time they were intimate back in 1991, this was NOT RIGHT at all. Now they've turned Bo-Mr. Straight- to a cheating husband and Carly- an upright, principled woman- to 'the other woman'. Not good AT ALL!!!

BO, CARLY & HOPE: NOW IT'S ON!

I know I said in my last post about the battle between Bo's wife & ex-fiancee yet to officially start; well you might want to  forget what I said because NOW IT HAS!
A recent episode showed Bo, arguing with his cousin, Justin Kiriakis about the kiss he'd shared with Hope.(A pretend  kiss to Hope but NOT to Justin who hopes Hope will return his feelings for her)
Justin in return pointed out to Bo that if he still loved Hope, he would'nt have kissed Carly instead. True enough, Bo himself  pointed out to Hope his kiss with Carly wouldn't have happened if their marriage was okay- so what are we saying here? Jusitn also told him that he HAD to choose between Hope and Carly since there's no way he can have BOTH women! Meanwhile, Carly had the misfortune of being stuck in an elevator with her nemesis, Vivian- yes, that she-devil who'd once had her buried alive. Carly told her she'd killed Lawrence because he was a monster, Vivian vowed to still get her revenge on her. She left the elevator and pushed some buttons; trapping Carly in the elevator. Carly of course freaked out because after the casket incident she'd developed claustraphobia. Like the time she screamed for Bo while in the casket, she screamed for Bo to get her out of the elevator. A maintanace man got her out later, assisted by who else but her knight in shining armour, Bo and he grabbed the shaken woman into his arms...

What did he do next? He took her back to her hotel and they had a talk over a couple of beers and he just happened to say she was still the same Carly he'd fallen in love with years ago. Next thing, they began kissing and making out!
At first when I found out, I was like, 'come on, Bo??? He's a straight guy and Carly already said she was'nt going to be the other woman'. But I was forced to change my mind after viewing one of  NBC's sneak peeks- a spoiler video clip of the  happy couple ripping each other's clothes (and almost each other) to shreds and getting it on BIG TIME; Bo was obviously more than anxious to have sex with Carly.

Of course I was SHOCKED; Bo is still married, what was he thinking? Carly, I don't completely  blame because this is the second time Bo would take advantage of her vulnerable state and it's all because he's lonely after Hope moving out of their home and where else to seek comfort  than in the arms of his former lover... who still loves him?
It's just like I feared; that kiss Hope unfortunately witnessed, I'm now 98% sure it's more to fufill a human desire when Bo is concerned but Carly is IN LOVE with him and now they've so crossed the line!
What will happen when he eventually goes back to Hope? Or, is he suddenly in  love with Carly like he was 17 years ago? I'm forseeing a period of heartbreak for Carly Manning...

GO EASY ON CARLY!!!

Okay, so far we cannot say 'it's on' betwen the two women that play a major part in Bo Brady's life- because the battle has'nt exactly started. Someone left a negative comment about Carly in Princess & Fancy-Face: Who will Bo choose eventually? and it's really not fair. May I remind those who've been following this new storyline that the reason Carly is back in Salem has NOTHING to do with Bo. I agree  she made a mistake  telling Bo she was in love with him again but then again Bo refused to let that confession slide and HE was the one who grabbed her and kissed her and wasn't at all sorry for what he did.
Carly told him she was'nt going to be 'the other woman' and he should forget what she said, Bo does'nt want to and he got offended when Carly started avoiding to the extent he went to the hospital to scold her about it. What does that tell you, people?

Hope meanwhile; she moved out of her matrimonial home despite Bo's pleas and got angry when she later  found Carly sleeping in the bed she and Bo shared. From the way she reacted, one whould think Bo was sleeping next to Carly- which he was'nt. She accused Bo of gambling with their daughter's life, now she's angry and resentful that he's apparently getting compassion from his ex fiancee, an ex fiancee everyone thinks is a husband snatcher. Obviously the fans who are condemning Carly did not watch the old episodes of DAYS; she's one of the rare characters who is without blemish- she WOULD never take away another person's husband or break up a happy home.
Personally, I don't care who Bo chooses eventually; what I do care about is Carly NOT getting hurt- heaven knows she has enough burdens on her shoulders right now. So, folks...go easy on the lady from now on. Your comments and opinions are still welcome!

MAX'S FIRST MISTAKE!

Chucho was amazed when Daniel told him about what Martha had done, hadn’t he seen the victim get up and run? Tonio called Oscar to examine Vicky; the recent events had made her ill. Tonio decides to ask Raquel for a divorce; he couldn't stay married to a woman he no longer trusted.Max in the meantime refused to let the matter rest; he wanted to now punish Raquel and Martha for telling on him. How? He asked Julia, the wife of the 'victim' to get him someone injured badly from an accident. Julia soon brought him someone- Mercedes, Chucho's friend who had a bed riden brother- Gabriel! Max instructed Meche on what to do or say, with the promise of a fat fee.  Raquel gets another call from Roberto Egere(actually it's Gato, Rodrigo's employee posing as Roberto just to annoy Raquel), to make matters worse. Tonio asked her to tell the man to meet with her but she hung up the phone- tired of  the whole thing. Tonio left the room, more suspicious of her than ever. Raquel went after him to talk things out but went back; he was talking rather intimately with Maura. Maura wasn't pleased to hear that Raquel had gone for a pregnancy test; she asked if Tonio would name the child after himself or after his late father, Alberto.

Vicky asked Raquel to her her her story again- Max's first pretence and the blackmail but it was clear Vicky still didn't believe her. Tonio called the police captain to the house to talk about Martha's case. The man informed him that the victim has shown up- his sister had made the report. Meche informed her brother of the plan and he wasnt happy at the idea of lying. She argued it would give him the opportunity of walking again as the Lombardo family will pay his medical bills. He asked who was this man who paid her to do this scam. She replied, 'Roberto Aguirre.'

The police captain told Raquel and Tonio that  would be in Martha's best interest if she voluntarily turned herself in and plead guilty; she could get leniency or a light sentence. Oscar came to see Vicky and to give Raquel the results of her test. He's accompanied by a very handsome young man- his son Humberto, also a doctor. Raquel is introduced to him and he's clearly enthralled by her.
Oscar told Raquel that her blood pressure was a bit high and gave her vitamins to take on a daily basis. She wasn't pregnant after all but he said she was young and healthy- a child will come eventually. Raquel was disappointed, especially with the current situation between her and Tonio. A child could have softened him and bring them back together.

Princess & Fancy-Face: WHO WILL BO CHOOSE EVENTUALLY???

By the way folks, most of the posts on DAYS OF OUR LIVES will mostly  surround Bo & Carly, as well as Bo's wife Hope, his cousin Justin who has the hots for Hope and Carly's enemies; Victor Kiriakis and Vivian Alaimaine-(I just pray that Carly doesn't end up being buried alive AGAIN!)
Right now Carly can rest easy for a while because Bo said whoever went through her medical records didn't find much. Filled with relief, she thanked him and gave him a hug, which from the look on his face as he hugged her back,  by the way,  affected him a lot, despite their mutual agreement of NOT pursuing the possiblity of rebuilding their old relationship until Vivian was taken care of. This time he managed NOT to kiss her, but it was obvious he wanted to!
Hope and Justin meanwhile, want to get to the bottom of the mystery surrounding Carly- the secret that Vivian seemed to be hiding also. They enter Vivian's room and are about to prise open the puzzle box they felt the secret was being hidden; they heard footsteps! Not knowing what else to do, they kissed and Victor and Vivian saw the whole thing, shocked. To cover up further, Hope told them it was because she saw Carly and her husband kissing,(mega move Hope, If Carly ends up killed for good, Bo will know who to blame!)- two people who hate poor Carly!
Carly suddenly asked Bo why he wasn't with his family on New Year's Day. He bitterly replied there was nothing going on at home; Hope and Ciara were still at Victor's mansion and he couldn't bring himself to go there, not Christmas Night when he had to stomach everyone urging him to reconcile with Hope and his cousin's not so subtle moves on his wife. Carly had suspected Justin of having feelings for Hope because he'd kept on asking if she(Carly) was still in love with Bo since her return from Salem. She remarked that because he may have feelings for Hope, doesn't mean he would ACT on them; Bo snorted in disbelief. That made Carly ask him if that would bother him at all.

GOOD QUESTION- would it really  bother him???

Folks, Hope was the love of his life long before Carly; when he and Carly first met, he was mourning Hope(thought to be dead from drowning), he struggled against falling in love with Carly as he didn't want to suffer yet another heartbreak. When he did admit that he loved her , he still would'nt commit to her because of Hope's memory- (p.s naija folks, his pet name for Hope is 'Fancy Face', DON'T ask me why)- which made Carly accept a marriage proposal from Victor Kiriakis- Bo's father by default(his mother Caroline had had an affair with him years back and until he found out, Bo always thought his father was Caroline's husband- Shawn Brady. Even after it got out, BO NEVER called Victor 'Dad', that was reserved for Shawn till the day he died).
After that, Bo realised his mistake and sent a letter to Carly to forgive him and give him another chance.
Unfortunately, the messenger was a young woman who too loved Bo, she gave it to Victor instead. The old bastard had it forged and Carly read the wrong message. She married Victor  but the marriage was never consummated and by the time she knew the truth, Bo was very ill from a virus meant for Carly. Emmy, the awful girl that had given the letter to Victor, wanted to finish Carly for good because Bo was still not interested in her, slipped the vial into Carly's champagne glass and alas, Bo drank it instead!
So when Carly showed him the forged letter, he told her to go away as he did'nt want her to know he was ill- as she deserved better. But when he got really really ill, he summoned her and told her the truth. Victor gave Carly the cure, with the condition that she returned to him. When she told Bo, he got her a lawyer and an annulment date was set. Like I mentioned in the last post, Victor refused to go out like that; he tried to get Bo killed, only for Carly to walk into the trap set for Bo- his own SON! (You know see how ruthless that man is?)

But I digress- Bo's reply was yes, it would bother him because it would change everything. Carly, to her credit didn't ask for an explaination, she hugged him and wished him Happy New Year, he gave her a New Year present and she left. Back at the hospital, Carly had a flashback New Year's Day, 1992...

I'd watched that episode and it was very funny; Bo and Hope's son, Shawn-Douglas had caught Bo and Carly  making out and snapped a photo of them! (Don't worry.. they still had their clothes on). After sending the naughty boy off to bed , Bo brought out a bell and told Carly of the Irish tradition of ringing in the New Year eight times- which they did together. Carly looked wistful; I think that ray of hope of her and Bo getting back together is fading, FAST.

Vivian ran into him and told him about Hope and Justin's kiss and I DIDN'T like the look on Bo's face. WHY did he kiss Carly in the first place- out of real desire to have her back in his life or to satisfy a human desire?
He's bothered at the idea of Hope and Justin getting together- which confirms my fear- Carly IS GOING to end up being the loser; there is a very strong possibility Bo and Hope WILL reconcile.
Who will end up with Bo eventually; Carly a.k.a  Princess  or Hope a.k.a Fancy Face???

TU O NADIE SNIPPET: THE KEY

Tonio made Raquel take her medication and left her to get some rest.
Martha later told Daniel what had happened, and he was angry after he heard of Max's sleazy plan- he may be old, but he was still capable of protecting his own daughter. He went to Raquel's room to see her, and she gave him the hotel key, begging him to get rid of it. Later, when Chucho visited him at the guest bungalow, he held the key and was about to ask Chucho to throw it away from him, but then changed his mind. Big mistake that turned out because when Tonio asked Ramon about the key he'd seen in the bedroom, Chucho asked if the key looked like a hotel key because he'd seen something like that with Daniel! When he realised his mistake, he went to Raquel to warn her. The next morning, Max heard from Martha that her sister had gone to the hospital for a pregnancy test. At the bungalow, Daniel apologised to Raquel for his carelessness and assured her that if Tonio asked, he would say the key was the key to their apartment in Guadalajara. Martha expressed her fears to Luis- going to jail for manslaughter.
Max cornered Raquel and asked if it was true that she was pregnant. Raquel replied that she wouldn't know until the tests came out. Max tried to force himself on her, demanding that she obey him or Martha would go to jail. Struggling hard, Raquel got away from him and fled, but ALAS! Andres, coming back from a game of tennis, saw the whole thing and misread it and MUCH WORSE, Raquel's clip-on earring fell off without her noticing, and Max picked it up from the ground, and it went into his pocket.
After finishing business with Pablo, Tonio was approached by Andres, who reluctantly told him what he'd seen. (snitch!) Totally furious, Tonio angrily confronted Raquel when she entered the room, asking her where she was coming from. When she said she'd been with her father, he grabbed her by the shoulders, calling her 'a slut'. Andres moved to rescue her and to calm his friend down. As he continued scolding Raquel and accusing her of cheating on him, Vicky, Martha, Camilla, and Alejandra entered the room just in time to hear the whole thing. As he grabbed her again, Martha, unable to allow her sister to take the blame for something that wasn't her fault, jumped in and told Tonio to leave her sister alone; she never cheated on him- she only lied to protect her. Raquel asked her repeatedly to shut up, but Martha stubbornly told everyone about the accident and what Max proposed to Raquel. Tonio let go of a sobbing Raquel and stormed outside, Andres hurriedly following him.

Catching up with him outside, Andres asked him where he was going. Tonio angrily replied that he was going to find Max and beat the shit out of him for trying to take advantage of his wife! Andres, however, talked him out of it with some difficulty, and they went back inside, where Camilla was angrily scolding Raquel and Martha. Everyone except Camilla and Alejandra followed Tonio into his study. Martha told the story in full to her brother-in-law. Tonio was very angry, Martha had driven without a licence, the victim probably had relatives, and why on earth didn't Raquel tell him earlier? He would have made his own investigations in the matter. Raquel pleaded with him; she'd been too afraid to. (what an IDIOT!)
Alejandra entered the study to tell Raquel she had her support in the matter. Luis was sent for, and Tonio scolded him for allowing Martha to take the wheel when she didn't have a licence and fired him on the spot. (serves him right!). Also, he was not to go near Martha again.

Inside her room, Vicky wept hysterically; she couldn't believe her own son would try to use Tonio's wife in such a manner through blackmail. Camilla didn't offer any sympathy, but Tonio entered the room and tried to console his stepmother, who continued crying and lamenting. As if he couldn't sink any lower, Max entered the room and innocently asked what was wrong!
Just barely controlling himself, Tonio got up and told Vicky he would leave the scolding to her and left the room. Of course, Max put on his outraged expression and denied the whole thing!
He later went to Luis' quarters, and Luis informed him that Martha had spilt the beans to Tonio, to his utter fury. Daniel went upstairs to see Martha.
Andres asked Max about what he tried to do to Raquel, and Max denied it; in fact, he shamelessly said Raquel only accused him because she'd been trying to seduce him! The first-class bastard had the audacity to ask Raquel, as she walked into the room, if it wasn't true she'd been trying to seduce him? (What can you do with such an evil creature like that man?!)

Filled with rage, Raquel flew at Max, slapping and scratching him, but Andres pulled her away. Max, in the meantime, fled the room. (yeah, you better run, PIG!) Andres and Alejandra tried to calm Raquel down, but she was so angry and hysterical that, on Andres's instruction, Alejandra took her upstairs to her room. She tried to console Raquel, who started weeping and assured her that she personally believed she was telling the truth.

Tonio told Andres he'd made some investigations, but so far, there's been no police reports about recent hit-and-run incidents.
Raquel begged Tonio for forgiveness and his understanding, but he was far too angry. All that had happened, and she couldn't confide in her own husband, and she was going to actually go to the hotel to meet Max. Raquel pleaded with him; she was going to go there true, but to TALK him out of what he wanted to do, she would never, ever cheat on him. Tonio, alas... no longer trusted her...

From bad to worse!
