Bo and Carly: Their future YET in sight

Finally one petition has been realized; the sacking of DAYS head writer, Dena Higley. I for one am not shedding any tears- ever since she was quoted as NOT caring about Bo and Carly's history and the viewers subjected to rubbishy story lines and obviously BIASED character profiles, I've been among those who longed to see her bounced and since DAYS OF OUR LIVES ratings have gone really down, I'm  glad this step has  been taken at long last.
Now we Carbos  hope to see a new era in DAYS; most important for Bo and Carly to have that long continuity they more than deserve. With all the support and valid reasons for wanting them to be together in the true sense of the word; the new Head writer will do well  NOT repeating the same mistakes Higley made and bring back DAYS to its former glory. Right now, the Carbos prefer watching 90s DAYS episodes because Bo and Carly's love was at its height then and we are starved to see them back together again in the Y2K episodes now. Once again we are NOT biased; we are realistic- Bo and Carly are the ultimate couple in DAYS and their love story had more than enough potential.
The fight for this special couple is STILL on and WILL go on until we get what we want- a long Carbo continuity in DAYS- if the many montages @ youtube is anything to go by. Each video shows just how much many viewers LOVE Bo and Carly...

WHAT'S NEXT FOR CARLY?

Photo 1: Carly's all smiles, beautiful eyes aglow. This was the time when DAYS OF OUR LIVES wasn't the ruin we're being subjected to right now and when the writers actually produced real story
lines that kept the viewers on their seats.

Not so in Photo 2: Carly's depressed, alone and from the strong woman I remember to  a drug addict. Bo's back with his wife, she's dead to her son and the nightmares of her late husband she'd kept at bay now haunt her, hence her idea of a solution...DRUGS.

So far, from what I've heard Crystal Chappell has been giving a fabulous performance but personally I'm not pleased. On one hand, I can appreciate the fact that even the strongest person on earth reach a breaking point and Carly's gone through and put up with a LOT before and after she returned to Salem.
On the other hand, not only did the writers make her appear as Bo's fall back, but now they've cast her aside. With the way Bo and Hope are now, it's as if Bo has simply erased Carly; as if those blissful months they spent as a couple  or the promises he made to her NEVER happened at all. Considering their beautiful history I didn't expect Carly of all characters to be treated this way; to be used as an interloper between Bo and his wife but then again, it's a well known fact the current DAYS writers simply don't care about their history. If they did, Bo and Carly will have the long continuity they deserve instead of their love portrayed as a new and forbidden thing.

Now, what's the way forward for Carly now? With Bo out of the picture and she refusing to confide in the few friends she has left,  she's very much alone and sinking further and further in despair. I'm really so sad for this character, the true happiness she had was with Bo and both times, they were short lived. Carly deserves so much more than this- if she was to be the interloper, why bring her back to DAYS in the first place? One would think that with the turbulent lives she and Bo have put up with all those years apart, this would be the time for a new chapter for them, but we're yet to see that happen, if EVER.
I would like to think Carly will have a new love but I can't imagine her loving another as much as she loved Bo. But what I REALLY want right now for Carly to be off those drugs soon enough. After that, let's see how the rest of her stay in Salem play out.

What makes Bo and Carly special?

Veteran fans of the duo Carbo were thrilled when Carly returned to DAYS late 2009; new Carbo followers were immediately  enchanted by her and both groups enjoyed watching her and Bo rekindle an old love that was obviously still there. Even though they're apart again right now; we're still not giving up on them and they WILL be together again as long as we keep our voices loud and clear to the DAYS producers and writers that we want Bo and Carly to stay. The current situation in the show's  really breaking my heart but I  just can't stomach the writers' 'misdirection' right now, if you get my drift.
But the subject of today's post; while we Carbos say that it's time that Bo and Hope finally call it a day after years of on and off again- let's also explore this burning question; why are Bo and Carly so exceptionally special, considering they had only 3 years together as a couple?
I still don't know the exact answer to that, but as far as I've seen from the old episodes, Bo and Carly's love is not only deep and mature, but also predestined, if you take a good look at their three memorable encounters( I explored this in my Bo and Carly fan fiction).
In 1990, their first meeting was at Bo's pier a few days after Carly's arrival in Salem, not long after Hope's 'death'. But it later turned out it wasn't their REAL meeting, it actually took place in Alamania six years back.During Bo, Hope's (And Shawn D's) cruise round the world, they had docked at Alamania and  Bo had seen Larry and Carly arguing (she  was breaking up with him) and when Larry tried to stop her from leaving, Bo picked a fight with Larry and Carly was able to escape. Of course at that time Bo and Carly barely caught a glimpse of each other's faces at the time so there was no way they were able to recognize each other years later at the pier during the protest against Jencon. The Alamania encounter was revealed to the viewers much later in a flashback sequence when Bo told the story to Carly much later , thinking the fist fight (which, by the way, he won hands down) was the reason why Larry was after him, not knowing Carly was the girl in question.
The third encounter as we all know, took place in Bo's living room; he tackled an intruder, only to discover it was his ex fiancee whom he hadn't laid eyes on for 16 years.
Even when they were together back in the day, it was more than obvious that Bo and Carly had a very special bond, the way they looked at each other, all the things they said to each other the whole time, especially during the beautiful symbolic wedding they had on top of El Castillo (which I hope they'll go back to some day).

The love,  bond and the chemistry has always been there but the DAYS writers don't seem to care about their history but thank God that we still do. When we say we want Bo and Carly to stay together for a a very long time, it's because we have valid reasons, not because  of any form of bias against Hope. So please, I need everyone to do this: in the comment line, write exactly what you think makes Bo and Carly so special. And please view this 'lost' montage. I had to upload it in You Tube using another track, thanks to their annoyingly strict rules. Remember, feel free to make your voices heard!

CARLY'S FATE PART 3: BRING BACK MARCUS HUNTER!

I pasted this at SONY for the benefit of those who are not familiar with this blog and I hope it will pick up because the thread's topic really sounds like a good idea to me.
Although I've stopped watching DAYS since the breakup, I gathered from the other viewers that our Carly is hiding her pain by putting up a stoic front but is soon going to crack under the bottled feelings she's nursing and I'm not surprised, even the strongest person on earth have their breaking point and Carly's on her way towards hers, poor lady.

With Bo back with 'you know who', Carly's now alone but at least she has Mel, the reason she came back to Salem in the first place  contrary to the hateful citizens of Salem opinions. And with Daniel bonding with Jennifer, it doesn't look like there's going to be a Carly/Daniel pairing- YUCK!- NOT that I want one, I can't bear him; not after the way he behaved when Carly told him he was Mel's father, accusing her of playing God with his life by keeping it from him for so long, giving up their child and living large with Lawrence as if it was something she wanted, never thinking of all she went through just to keep him and their daughter alive. Daniel is not in tune with Carly like Bo is and a match with her is an accident waiting to happen.

No, who I still  have in mind for Carly to  be her comforter at this sad time is  Dr. Marcus Hunter. For those of you who don't know/remember Marcus( played by the late Richard Biggs; R.I.P) he was Steven Johnson's childhood friend and former head of Surgery at Salem University hospital. If you think Carly and Bo's first meeting wasn't conventional, Marcus' first encounter with our princess was even more- he literally caught her in the shower while she was staying at Justin and Adrienne's place (She'd met them at Tahiti and they'd decided to swap houses).

Despite Carly's secretive attitude, she and Marcus formed a deep friendship, so deep that even Steve asked Marcus if he was ever going to ask her out. I heard that some viewers thought that would happen but after Carly laying eyes on Bo, I'm sure they saw that a Marcus/Carly wasn't going to happen.
Anyhow, Marcus and Carly remained friends and he seemed to understand her as much as Bo did, and like Bo- he knew her INSIDE OUT. He was even the first person she revealed her true name to, operated on her when she had the elevator accident and she in turn was there for him when Steve 'died', I remember the clip when she found him in the hospital chapel praying for his friend and they exchanged a hug.
Marcus' story came to an end when he left town in 92 after he fell in love with Kayla but was rejected as she was with Shane already.Considering how bitchy Kayla is now, we can all say sweet Marcus had a NARROW escape!
With Carly all alone now, I feel that someone has to be there for her, at least for now and Marcus should be that man based on the reasons I've already stated. It makes a lot of sense to me; if the writers stubbornly refuse to bring back her brother Frankie to console his sister, then Marcus should return to Salem and be with Carly for now, played by a recast of course. Lord knows Carly deserves someone who doesn't take her for granted like Bo did (VERY VERY angry with him right now) and maybe it will open his eyes to the fact that Carly's more than beautiful enough to attract other guys who actually know what they want. If he truly still loves her, this might just force him to realize where his heart truly lies. If a fight for love could happen back in '91 (when he and Victor clashed over Carly) why can't it happen now?

CARBOS, KEEP THE FAITH!!!

Since Bo and Carly's breakup, I've been handling the situation in the best and sensible way; I simply stopped watching and reading the spoilers at Daycafe.com. Since I ignored DAYS for several years, this has been a very easy decision to make as well as the fact that the Carbo supporters are even more motivated to fight for this iconic couple. It's really touching that despite only 3 years of being a couple, Bo and Carly have so many fans who love them; die-hard fans and new fans who got devoted to them when Crystal Chappell returned in 2009.
Which is why I just don't understand KC and his writing crew more than ever; Bo and Hope have been a couple for 25 years, SO WHAT??? It's not like they didn't problems all those years and from the way they were on-off and off-on and AGAIN on-off all that time, their marriage has been more like a vase that's fallen off several times and the broken pieces glued back together. Then comes the time when that vase becomes so cracked in many places it loses it's original beauty and the owner would either stop using it or simply throw it away. THAT'S Bo and Hope's marriage, so MANY cracks and yet the writers persist at dragging them back, only this time- they are using guilt on Bo's part to draw him back to a woman who does'nt deserve him.

No, I AM NOT BIASED! I'm putting it bluntly; Hope doesn't deserve him... she left her matrimonial home with THEIR daughter after accusing Bo to his face that he'd gambled with Ciara's life during the kidnapping, when Zach died, what did she do, sort comfort in the arms of another man; yet everyone- her family/friends and her real- life supporters are all acting as if she's some poor fragile bird that's been wounded and Bo is the bad guy- he's ALWAYS been the one to fix things, ALWAYS the one ready to forget the past and move on. No one thought of how he felt after Hope left him and  once he found comfort with an old love, he's being judged along with Carly.
NBC KNOW what we want, they KNOW we have more than enough logical reasons why Bo and Carly should be together, they KNOW Carbo has a huge fan base and they KNOW it's time TO CALL IT A DAY! They have to stop this ridiculous game they are doing, making Hope the victim and Bo and Carly the guilty parties or  pushing Bo back to Hope and Carly being so unpopular in Salem. Because whether they like it or not... Carly's the woman for Bo, we know so because it's true. It's time that DAYS leave the past well behind and face facts, Bo and Carly ARE THE FUTURE. Case closed!

End of Bo & Carly? A BIG FAT NO!!!!

I don't have to say that it was a sad and very emotional day for the Carbos as we all watched Bo and Carly exchange another heart rending goodbye; Peter Reckell and the lovely Ms. Chappell giving us a memorable performance.
At first when I read the spoilers announcing this I was furious and disappointed; "Bo realises he made a mistake and breaks it off with Carly." I was like, "So... everything you promised and said to Carly was all a LIE? All she did was warm your bed???" All I could fume over for a long time was that the DAYS writers were turning Bo Brady to a fickle bastard who's been stringing a lovely woman along all this time, adding 'cruel' along with 'stupid' and 'incompetent' to their list of shortcomings.
But it wasn't like that all. Carly herself made the big gesture of breaking off their relationship and urging Bo to repair his marriage because it looked like Hope had changed for the better. While he agreed things were now different, he was still unwilling to let Carly go; how easy could it be to let go of a lady who's been more than loving and patient with him all this time and this current act of selfless compassion driving him to say 'Is it wise to make me love you more than I already do?' with love mirrored in his eyes as he looked down at her. I, who cried during the 1993 episode when they broke up the first time (it was 'Fake Bo'-Robert Kelker Kelly-  then but still very painful), was too numb to cry this time because I have NEVER SEEN a more mature, understanding and brave character than Carly Manning; her gestures and actions have always been misinterpreted by many people in Salem but if they knew her very well like Bo does, they would definitely see a woman who thinks of everyone and anyone, except herself. This move obviously gave her a lot of pain but she did it anyway, because of her great love for this man.
And considering the way poor Bo broke down after she left, showed just how much he still loved Carly and no doubt  realizing the sacrifice she'd just made. Why wouldn't any man want to hold on to a rare gem like that???

All in all, it was a very emotional break up and I'm more sad than angry. Once again, I speak with no bias; Bo and Carly love story has a lot of potential and it is a story YET to be told. For God sake, they only had 3 years- they're older now but still connected despite others reminding us that Bo and Hope had 25 years and as such deserve to stay together. I don't agree and neither do many of the Carbos; Carly made Bo happy again when he was deep in despair... twice, and they are so alike in spirit. Carly should not be used as some sort of means for Hope to re-examine her feelings for a man she left in a fit of anger and Bo should stop being portrayed as  a guilt ridden man who keeps on clinging to the past. It surprised me that Bo still expected Carly to go home with him that day; 'you and your wife have re-connected, so you can't eat your cake and have it; if you want Carly- SAY SO and move on with her,' was my opinion.
We don't know what to expect now, except that  Carly (Crystal Chappell) is going to have a new story in March. Only curiosity is making me anticipate that because I'm really disillusioned now. But thanks to encouragement from my fellow supporters, I'm still rooting for Bo and Carly. Even with that episode, we are all comforted by this thought, their relationship may be over, but their love isn't.
PEACE AND LOVE TO YOU ALL.

THE RUIN THAT IS CALLED '' DAYS OF OUR LIVES'' PART 2

It's bad enough the writers are procrastinating with Bo and Carly's long term love story, but NBC's made a disastrous/stupid decision just recently; Mark Hapka who plays Nathan Horton has been let go... euphemism for UNJUSTLY FIRED!!!. I couldn't  believe it at all; he's a key character in DAYS and now with the present storyline where Mel and Philip fall out because of the latter's infidelity, why take Nathan out of the picture when the fans assume that Mel and Nathan will now be free to be together?

DAYS OUR LIVES, like I said before,  is a RUIN and blunt addition... a ruin that many people are running away from; not just the viewers but the actors themselves; Jay Kenneth Johnson(Philip Kiriakis) and Shelley Hennig (Stephanie Johnson) are leaving DAYS as well only this time they weren't bounced- they are walking out on their own. I have no idea why Shelley's leaving but Jay's reason from what I heard was because he was tired of the bad writing. Oh... BIG Shocker there.

Is K.C really that confident this show will still prevail with all this going on; how many more actors/actresses will leave before he gets the message massive changes have to be made? Heaven knows how long fans have been clamouring for one of the writers, Dena Higley to be replaced; she doesn't care about Bo and Carly's history which is glaringly  why Bo is yet to be completely free to have a fresh start with Carly, why Carly is the most hated woman in Salem, why Jay is leaving. And if something isn't done, DAYS may not only lose MORE actors/actresses but viewers, after that- ratings and then DAYS will be history after 45 years.

So far, most people(including me) watch DAYS in the first place  because of Bo and Carly, waiting impatiently for their love-story but suppose Peter Reckell and Crystal Chappell too decide to leave, thanks to the writers' stubborn stance at denying them that story?
DAYS would definitely would be nothing but a void, a complete write off, a RUIN unless something is done, and done NOW

THE RUIN THAT IS CALLED '' DAYS OF OUR LIVES''

The current angst between Bo and Carly has  made me stop watching DAYS OF OUR LIVES. I honestly have no patience with the writers, nor  able to continue to stomach their approach. I only watched DAYS in the first place because of Bo and Carly's new found love with each other and I hate the fact they are yet to have their new beginning, hate the procrastination and perversity of the writers and Producer, Ken Corday.
Bo and Carly deserve a second chance after having only three years and cheated of so much- I'm yet to see a couple in DAYS that have the spiritual bond and mature relationship Bo and Carly have. But until the angst ends, I'm not getting back in the DAYS boat.
I don't know what I hate the most in DAYS right now; Carly pushed to the wayside while Bo and Hope play Dempsey & Makepeace  like the good old days, the current Carly hate going on strong in Salem with everyone pointing accusing fingers at Carly- that she's the reason behind Caroline Brady's stroke and Phillip/Mel, Nathan/Stephanie and Daniel/Chloe's breakup and the worse yet, Kayla's attitude towards Carly. She's totally different from the Kayla I remember; this current Kayla is unreasonable and vindictive and bent on causing trouble for Carly, who was once her colleague and  one of her dearest friends. The character has been ruined by the writers and I'm VERY disappointed in them.
What exactly is the point of DAYS being renewed for a new season because as far as I'm concerned, it's a write-off, no longer worth watching. Being a Soap, I naturally expect angst but for God sake, the viewers are entitled to watch story lines that actually MAKE SENSE. The Anti-Carly crusade in a town that she did so much for in the 90s does not make sense neither a rekindled love suddenly being cast aside. The truth of the matter is that the DAYS writers do not do enough research, don't care about the history of any of the characters, besides Bo and Carly.
The writers and Ken Corday should make some positive changes in DAYS and bring it back to its former glory; in particular give Bo and Carly the love story they deserve. Carly should NOT be a used as an interlude- after 16 years away, she deserves more than this; and so does Bo, after living in a dysfunctional marriage for so long. It's high time  the DAYS writers call it a day on that and begin a new era- a new era called CARBO.

CARLY'S FATE: PART 2

For the LAST TIME...What ON EARTH do the DAYS writers expect to gain, their insane angle is getting too much! By the way; I speak as a writer who is disgusted at how a 45 year old soap is being ruined by a bunch of clueless individuals. It's bad enough Carly's suffering over Bo's absence but now she's being attacked right from and center and once again for something that was not her fault in the first place. This time  Carly's being accused of not only hiding from Daniel that Chloe cheated on him but that she knew the 'other man' was her son-in-law Phillip the whole time; like she would shield the man who betrayed her own daughter and the same person who's had nothing good to say about her since she arrived in Salem! Daniel isn't speaking to her, neither is that UNGRATEFUL BRAT Melanie who Carly saved from Lawrence's clutches and a deadly virus.
But what truly disgusts  me the most is Kayla's (Bo's sister) behaviour towards Carly. First she accused Carly of stealing her brother from Hope (hah!), then switching Chloe's paternity tests and NOW causing Caroline's stroke.
What exactly did Carly do wrong? Right from the start, I didn't want her to be the one to tell Daniel about Chloe's infidelity because everyone would then add 'troublemaker' along with 'home-wrecker' and 'slut'. Considering Daniel's love for Chloe  & carrying out the paternity test  was a good thing; at least she would have told Daniel if the tests had showed her he wasn't the father, only it didn't because Caroline switched the  results, so the real culprit here is Caroline
Now I really wish Carly had told Daniel about it before spreading the word about Chloe's pregnancy, it would have saved her a lot of headache; Daniel and Mel at least won't be accusing her now of lying to them and treating her the way they are now and everyone who used to be her friends ganging up on her now. Daniel & Mel shouldn't be judging Carly so harshly considering all the years she'd suffered just to prevent Larry from hunting them down as well as the people who were once her family shunning her just because she and Bo fell in love again; FOR THE LAST TIME, she didn't wreck his marriage and Bo was the one who decided he wanted a second chance with Carly... they fell in love again and that's that!
I'm very very disappointed at how the writers have ruined majority of the Bradys, Kayla in particular; from closest friend/sister to another Carly enemy and the present Carly bashing in Salem right now. What would a woman in Carly's position do now- leave Salem? Frankly, I wouldn't blame her- she has no loyal friend (Jennifer I still don't trust), Mel is once again cold towards her,  her darling is on the run with his wife and she may soon be out of a medical licence if Kayla carries out her revenge- so I would say she's finally reached her breaking point. But the spoilers indicate she's not going to leave Salem for good, at least not now because she's going to be roped in a rescue mission; alongside Hope to save Bo who's been abducted. But how will it end after Bo is rescued... will he again stop her from leaving or she'll end up alone, hated and heartbroken? It all depends on Carly and Bo's supporters because if we don't make our voices loud and clear more often; Carly's just going to get another stupid, undeserved storyline. I'm nursing the hope that Carly will do something during the mission that will open the prejudiced eyes of the Salemites and FORCE them to apologise to her once and for all. It isn't enough to hope that Bo and Carly will eventually have their happy ending- we should also petition for the Carly hate to stop once and for all. She truly doesn't deserve it and I don't know where the writers are going with this. If this is a ploy to make her a very unpopular DAYS character, they are wasting their time because she and Bo have tons of supporters who will NOT let this matter rest. One way or the other, Carly's fate is going to be rosy, with Bo by her side.

WELCOME 2011

           Webfetti.com
Well, this is my first blog post for 2011 and by May, MY FAVORITE THINGS will be 3 years old; amazing I wasn't at all sure this blog would catch on at all but thanks to God for giving me the perseverance to continue with it and  I really appreciate every visitor who not only took the time to read my posts but also left the kind comments and posts.

2010 has come and gone... along with a few loved ones I lost, my father who lost his battle to cancer and my cousin, who succumbed to tuberculosis (R.I.P). Then there was the struggle to balance a full time job with my part time studies in LAG as well as write my first novel- which I PRAY to achieve this year. But I did make several wonderful  online friends and motivation to write  my novel thanks to their kind comments  on my online work; I feel that I'll achieve a lot in this New Year. But at the same time I don't plan on just working, reading and working some more like I did last year. For the first time in a long while, I'm going to find time and do a lot of things I haven't done before- there are a lot of them so I'm not going to bother making a list here! (laugh) but I can add two resolutions- Be a much better person and do all the good things I'm yet to do.
Happy New Year. And may the future bring out far more joy than pain to everyone.  AMEN.

BO & CARLY'S LOVE: GOING ON!

As long as Bo & Carly's supporters keep the faith and show their support; Bo and Carly WILL have the long term love story they were cheated of and more besides! I for one am  going to disregard spoilers and firmly believe the DAYS writers will things around for the better. Bo and Carly are the ultimate iconic couple and worth fighting for, we are not about to give up on them. This video is a 'lost' Carbo montage which was carefully edited. It sums up what we all believe and want for Bo and Carly. Happy viewing and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

GOODBYE... FOR NOW???

Well, no doubt Monday's episode where Bo and Carly exchanged a very painful goodbye brought tears from loyal Carbo viewers and answered my question of whether Bo was going to tell Carly where he was going and why, yet also emphasising that he didn't really want to leave her at all- the pain evident on his face.

Carly's maturity and compassion was definitely stretched to the limit when she readily urged Bo to go ahead and help Hope however he can; I can't even begin to imagine just how many women in Carly's position have the courage to do what she did; she didn't even accuse him of putting Hope ahead of their relationship. And being human, she cried bitterly after Bo closed the door behind him probably wondering  2 things; if he'll come back to her or if he'll EVER come back to Salem at all- by breaking Hope out, he'll he on the run from the law as well and by being with Hope during that time spelled reconnection/reconciliation.

I said it before and I'll say it one more time- this storyline is stupid, no... it's now BEYOND STUPID, unfair and cruel. This time last year Carly came back to Bo's life and they'd made each other so happy all 2010, you would THINK that the writers could at LEAST have given them a blissful Christmas together but nooooo.... major angst, the worst I've ever seen on DAYS and they are pushing Bo back towards a woman who only decided she wanted him back AFTER he moved on to another. I haven't felt this bitter since their '93 breakup and it's definitely forcing me to start ignoring this show again; I started watching DAYS again(and I'm NOT the only one) specifically because I heard Carly (Crystal Chappelle)was coming back and so far, the viewers are still being denied a proper Bo and Carly story!

But that's not the only thing bothering me now; the next question... Carly loves Bo so much but isn't at all sure things will be the same between them because their goodbye in his office seemed like a breakup to her and bearing in mind Jennifer's warning about Hope always going to be a huge part in Bo's life. Bo on the other hand had already told his interfering/judgmental sister that Carly was his future despite his history with Hope. But will he have the same view when he and Hope return to Salem?
Whether this is a breakup or being on a break; personally I have no idea and I don't know how long this separation will last.  Bo didn't say anything like 'wait for me,' 'I'll come back to you,' or anything like that but it's clear he loves her as well; it hurt him to leave but felt he had to do his duty. I don't want to be negative or anything so I will assume that Bo and Carly's goodbye is more of a 'for now' and not 'forever',and  that while on the run with Hope and sorting out her dilemma, he would at least find a way of letting Carly know that he loves her and will be coming home to her. What would console Carly now while Bo's away would be the presence of her august brother Frankie or (like the Carbos still wish for) a child fathered by Bo- at least she would have a major part of him with her.
But what we really  want is for Carly to have him when he comes back and start all over again. And they will... because their supporters believe in them and won't stop fighting. NOT BY A LONG SHOT.

CARLY'S FATE???

Since  Bo's going to  be away for a long time, the next question is what's going to happen to Carly; will he even get the chance to say goodbye to her and explain anything at all before he leaves?
One spoiler I read indicated he's going to give his daughter her Christmas present early; NOTHING about him and Carly- who he STILL professes to love. Will Carly continue keeping faith-  like she did back in 1992 when he was missing for two months- or move on with her life with someone (I HATE say it) less complicated than Bo Brady? Will she... Will she... Will she... (so many of them) but I think the real question is, Will she finally have a happy ending???

This is a very stupid story line. Considering Bo and Hope have been on-off and off-on over the years I assumed that  Carly Manning was brought back after 16 years  to be a much  more stable companion for Bo and even the Bopes have to admit that Bo's never been happier since his rekindled relationship with  her. Of all of Bo's exs (Megan Hathaway, Britta Englund, Billie Reed) Carly has no devious bone in her body and like I said in my last post, she does NOT deserve to be treated this way and I'm not talking about Bo, I'm talking about the DAYS writers who can't write a proper storyline to save their lives! They are either clueless or simply delight in making such a lovely character fall from one misfortune or the other; it's bad enough that the former writers ended her memorable relationship with Bo back in 1993(well, that time they had excuse thanks to the behaviour of Robert Kelker- Kelly a.k.a 'Fake Bo'- but it was still very painful) with  the current writers giving us this garbage; just when Bo and Carly seemed to be settling down and begin their future, they make Bo run around helping his ex wife, I'm not saying that he shouldn't but NOT with guilt resting on his shoulders and making his current lady uncomfortable and insecure. Any woman in Carly's position is bound to gradually lose faith and call it quits. So far, she's handling all this in a mature, stolid way but she's looking at a Christmas alone, wondering whether or not her man will return still in love with her or be reconciled with Hope who he obviously still cares a lot about.
Much as I HATE to say it, if Carly is being used as a means to force Bo and Hope to reexamine their feelings , then a more devoted man should be given to her. And I DON'T want it to be Daniel Jonas; basically he's a good man but  is not exactly deeply in tune with her like Bo(heaven knows no other man is)- I'm not going to forget the way he behaved towards her after she told him Mel was their daughter. Not Roman Brady, Bo's brother; he's alone but that would be too weird.

My candidate for Carly, if he was still on  the show,  would be  Marcus Hunter(played by the late Richard Biggs). Back in the day, he was her close friend and confidant and they had a whole lot in common besides both being doctors.  The DAYS team have done stranger things in the past, why not recast the character and bring him back to Salem. Maybe, alternatively  it could  make Bo jealous enough to find his way back to her, especially if she happened to be pregnant with their long awaited child (as we all hope)  , creating a whole new triangle where Bo would win her back and they'll finally be together again.
Which is what we Carbos all want, for Bo and Carly to finally get their second chance. But so far, it looks like Carly's future is rather bleak.

Carly & Bo... How patient IS patient?

Days viewers know the spoilers by now:

-Bo leaves Carly to help Hope

-Bo decides to break Hope out of jail

-Daniel finds out Bo left Carly

Big question: What's going to happen to Bo and Carly's relationship???

The main subject of discussion; while Bo and Hope are on the run, what remains for our Carly- will she remain compassionate and open minded or will she assume the worse and let Bo go?
As a longstanding Carbo fan; I'm in a postion to say that Carly's been nothing but patient and selfless since her first arrival to Salem back in 1990. Her fateful first encounter with Bo was'nt pleasant- she found him very rude until it was revealed to her that he was the grieving widower she'd heard about and went out of her way to be kind to him but that did'nt mean she stood any nonsense from him either- she gave as good as she got. She nursed the hope he would eventually come out of his shell and love her, or at least admit that he loved her; overlooking his sullen, unfair behaviour towards her and his constant rejections. But then she was forced to take a drastic step thanks to a third party interferance (Victor and Emmy) forcing  Bo to realize once and for all that he needed Carly in his life and had to stop living in the past.
And now??? Carly had more things to contend with; Melanie and half of Salem's hostility towards her, Bo's initial indecision about whether or not he was in love with her or Hope, Bo's preocupation and worry about Hope after she was arrested, which any other woman wouldn't put up with for a minute. Is Bo so confident about Carly's patience that he would risk destroying what he has with her by going on the run with Hope? It's not easy kissing off 25 years but it's clear he loves Carly... yet anything can happen between him and Hope, who he still addresses as his wife. And how will his old friend Leo fit in this very weird scenario?
Carly's a woman hard done by and  deserves to have some stabilty in her life; the only time she had it was when she and Bo and Shawn D were a family. To put it bluntly her life crumbled the minute she discovered Nicky was her son; she had to put up with his hostility towards her and her efforts at making up for the lost years only drew her away from Bo- their last encounter before Vivian injected her with morphine had been a fight over Nicky. All she ever did was try to be there for her son... as well as Bo, not at all knowing the boy was taking advantage of her patience and selflessness. And they fell apart, for 16 years.
Carly IS being taken advantage of, she's done nothing but show support for Bo and it looks like she's not going to have a happy ending for her kindness. I want her and Bo to have their second chance but the writers and KC are being so cruel! What does it take to give this woman her man at long last; they obviously need each other; why prolong the angst to prove some stupid point? No bias- she is everything Hope is'nt- mature, supportive, selfless; the bond she has with Bo still remains deep despite the long years of separation and no children with him.  He and Hope shared 3 children but their marriage was nothing but dysfuntional- falling out, getting back together and falling out over again. And DON'T get me started on his relationship with that scheming cow; Billie Reed.

Carly's  been more than patient but I think this patience she's about to exercise now  is carrying things too far- it unfair, UNFAIR! The writers CANNOT continue doing this to Carly; will she be able to wait for Bo that length of time? No doubt she will, but what will happen when he comes back- a REUNION or HEARTBREAK???

Best CARBO 2.0 Episodes

Since Carly's (Crystal Chappell) return last year, I've had my pick of favorite 2009/2010 episodes featuring  her and Bo and I have to admit until the infamous one when they got er... reacquainted in more ways than one, I was on pins and needles because I had no idea how it was going to play out and my main concern was Carly NOT getting hurt. But right now, the princess and the sailor's love is going on strong and all we want is for them to have their second chance; definitely in more ways than one!

Despite the current angst in DAYS right now, I've complied a list of Bo and Carly episodes( carefully edited of course) and pasted in this post for once. ENJOY!

When Bo and Carly remembered a very special night, thanks to a significant parchment (this was the episode that prompted me to add the CARBO label to this blog)

BO AND CARLY: KEEP ON ROCKING!!!

Good news for the Carbos, Bo and Carly once again won the Soap Opera Pulse No. 1 couple of the week and Peter Reckell(Bo) and the lovely Crystal Chappell were voted favorite actor and actress; the viewers are dead serious about wanting this couple to have the second chance they deserve and aren't going to stop the fight till they get it.

What being mostly clamoured for right now is Bo and Carly to walk down the aisle and have a wonderful married life afterwards as well as a child of their own at long last- I want them to have that but first the Carly Hate must stop; Bo and Carly won't have much of a love story if everyone in Salem- especially Bo's family will still treat Carly like a leper. And in today's episode, Mel- still angry that Carly had covered for Chloe actually said, 'She can never be my mother.' The writers are getting more stupid by the day; why make Mel hate her mother again and say those cruel words?
So far, Carly's bore everything with calm dignity but I can't wait for her to finally lash out at her prosecutors, especially that ungrateful brat and make them take a good hard look at themselves.
Also, I would REALLY like for the writers(though I'm not holding my breath) to bring back Billy Warlock, the actor who played Carly's younger brother who was adopted by the Brady family. Not only will be be another ally to Carly but it may force the family to realise they haven't been fair to Carly at all- I mean... they can't expect Frankie to treat his own sister like they have been doing.
But in the meantime, our love for Bo and Carly remains strong and we'll continue to fight for them- with all we've got- message boards, polls, video montages, emails, tweets- because they are more than worth saving!
Join us in the fight at SAVEBOANDCARLY.COM  and enjoy this Bo and Carly campaign video by my good friend Jessi Griffith...
